Welcome to the Teal House! We have all of the amenities of home. In Nelson we have the famous Nelson Cheese Factory and J&J's BBQ. If you like outdoor adventures Thrive Hiking Park or Buena Vista Park in Alma have amazing river views from top of the bluffs. Visit the Eagle Center in Wabasha and stroll the unique shops downtown and check out Hoppy Girl brewery. Drive the Great River Road and visit all of the unique little towns along the way. You will have lot's to do from fishing, hunting, boating, winery's, shopping, arts, and much more in the area.
House was very clean and orderly. Was wonderfully centered between Wabasha and Pepin. Was more spacious than expected. Everyone slept well and enjoyed the stay!! Host was very prompt on communication!
Pristine house and so comfortable! Perfect for our needs. We stayed for the last half of the week for our son's wedding near Pepin. It was a perfect home base for us going back and forth for the rehearsal and dinner and wedding! Thank you again!
Pat's place was exactly as advertised- right on Nelson's main drag and close to everything north and south along Rte. 35. The place was super clean, well-stocked, with many knickknacks and other thoughtful touches. We had the entire house to ourselves and plenty of room to spread out. A/C worked great cause it was hot out there! We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The only thing to be aware of if you come up with another couple(s) is that there is only ONE bathroom- you have been warned!
We had four girls for the weekend. Went to Wabasha for the day. Loved the creamery and a couple bars in walking distance. All the details were excellent. Coffee, dish soap, decorations, etc. Highly recommend.
My mother and sister were very impressed with the house. Very well taken care of, clean, and wonderfully decorated. Way bigger inside than it looks from the outside. Big kitchen with all the amenities, nice (big) dining area. (3 people) It was nice to store my (fishing) boat in the garage at night. I had to jump through some hoops to get the boat put away on the busy highway, but I managed. (I drove up to the Hwy 25 intersection to turn around) Super place. Chances are good we'll be back.
We were in the area for a family wedding. Originally, we reserved three rooms at a local hotel for our party of 6, but it was SO expensive! When we found the listing for the Teal House, I knew it would be perfect for us! The kitchen was huge, the bedrooms were comfortable and we had much more space to be in compared to a hotel room. I'm so glad we decided to change our reservation. Pat was so kind and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again!
This home is stocked with everything you need, there is plenty of space. The location is great, thereâs a nice creamy down the street and an easy drive across the bridge to Wabasha. The sunset out the back was really beautiful too. The bowling alley in Wabasha had really good food!
Wonderful home. Entire home was spotless clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable with soft flannel sheets and fuzzy blankets, perfect for the November weather. So many special touches, we really enjoyed our stay. Traffic was a bit noisy, but we are not used to any car noise. Highly recommend.
This home was more spacious than I expected. It was tastefully decorated with a cottage style bird motiff (in popular bird watching area), spotlessly clean, and comfortable with attention to detail. The street is a little busy, but it's an easy stroll into the nearby town. Trains can be heard along the river.
