This exquisite 32-acre property in Marshall County contains all that makes North Alabama's landscape exceptional: plentiful wildlife, native plants, a 250-foot limestone bridge, caves, and waterfalls. It has become an iconic Marshall County landmark and treasured by local residents. The property has been open to the public for over 20 years and so there are often visitors coming to look at the waterfalls.
The property has multiple outdoor seating areas for viewing nature, or playing games. Explore, or just sit on the porch and take in the scenery. If watersports are more your style there are two public boat ramps a short distance away.
My family and I stayed here for a week and overall had a wonderful experience. Check in was super easy. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cooking supplies, etc. There was absolutely no cell signal on the property (to be expected considering the location) but the Wi-Fi worked great! The road leading to the house is pretty but it does sit right in the crook of a sharp bend in the road, so you do need to really watch for cars coming down the mountain before you turn left in to the driveway. We did have a few people pull in to take pictures while we were there. Upon arrival, there were 4 people walking around the property and even though there is a sign on the house that states it's a private residence, they were on the backside of the house and down on the patio. They did leave shortly after we arrived. We also had one person knock on the door to ask if they could walk around and take pictures of the waterfall. So it's not a private area if that is what you area looking for, but for the most part, we didn't have any issues with that. The view is absolutely beautiful and on a quiet night, we could hear the waterfall even sitting inside the house and from the master bedroom. The landscaping around the property's sidewalks and stairs is a bit overgrown, so we had to be mindful of making sure to wear proper shoes/pants when outside, but the bridge and the waterfall were just beautiful. We would definitely stay here again!!
Incredibly unique backdrop for 8 golf buddies to relax, eat and review the day's rounds. The big front porch and lower seating area coupled with the waterfalls made this one of the best places we have stayed on annual golf trips. I'll definitely be bringing the family here.
Impressive location. It is like staying right inside a state park. There is nothing more tranquil than sitting on the porch, enjoying coffee and listen to the waterfalls. Great location, close to some great small towns and the Tennessee River/Guntersville Lake. We spent 3 nights and east could have spent 7.
We had a relaxing getaway in absolutely beautiful place! The natural bridge and waterfalls were absolutely breathtaking. The house was very clean, comfortable and roomy. Enjoyed the porch and patio areas overlooking the bridge and waterfalls. Owners were quick to respond when we had some minor issues. Canât wait to come back and would highly recommend!
This property really is a natural beauty. The rock formations, landscaping, and waterfalls were impressive. The home was well stocked and roomy. The windows allowed beautiful views of the waterfalls and natural beauty! Impressive gem that offered serenity and peace for the nature lover!
What an amazing spot! The landscaping around the house is beautiful and completely accents the waterfall and natural bridge.
Inside the rooms were comfortable (beds were very comfy!) and spacious. Plenty of seating inside and outside. There were lots of paper goods, trash bags, foil, etc., plus several spices.
Lindsey and Todd were wonderful and very responsive.
We were only there for a few nights, but will definitely book this beautiful home when we head to the Huntsville area again!
Amazing property for friends to gather on a weekend golf trip. The host was so easy to communicate with, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the house. Very clean and huge. The natural bridge and waterfall in the back yard was even more beautiful in person than on the listing. Away from any high traffic roads so nice quiet evening hanging out together on the back deck. Short drive to town for any supplies needed. Will absolutely be staying here again!!
The waterfall was active during our visit . We all walked around the property down into waterfall . The front porch was large enough for playing cornhole and chatting . It had an abundance of supplies . My prior experience at vrbo was not enough trash bags, toliet paper etc but this place had abundance, very unusual ! Would easily stay there again
We had a few concerns on arrival but management was quick to respond and address as best they could. The description doesnât detail that there is public hiking available that is posted on The Chamber website (we were told.) We had several cars showing up to park and hike. We also experienced a very nice couple who told us they booked the lawn for wedding photos so we had to bring the kids in, so as to not ruin the photos. Some other folks were walking up by the house and wanting to go through the back patio while we were staying. It felt uncomfortable because we didnât know if this was permitted or not. Plus it felt like we didnât have much privacy.
