We offer a cozy, modern, clean home in the heart of Rapid City that's just 2 minutes from I-90 and 30 minutes from Sturgis! It features two bedrooms on the main floor, an open-concept kitchen and living room, a large fenced-in backyard with a fire pit, and a remodeled attic loft to fit even more guests! We have a tenant that lives in the basement with its own separate entrance, and it's unlikely that you will encounter or hear from him.

This contemporary space is a home away from home for you and your family or friends! Everything you need to have a comfortable stay is right here. When you arrive you will have a code to get through the front door, but we'll be close by if you have any trouble checking in!

The whole home is ready for your stay! The first floor has two bedrooms, a living room, a mud room, the bathroom, and the kitchen. The second floor is a renovated attic loft that has a workspace, two twin beds, and a travel crib. The basement will be locked because we live in the apartment below Don't worry: this space is accessed by a private entrance, our tenant below is very quiet and you likely won’t ever see or hear him!

OUTDOOR LIVING: Large fenced-backyard with large fire pit that can accommodate ten or more guests at a time. Large roofed patio with a charcoal grill, two deck chairs for a great relaxing experience.

INDOOR LIVING: Fast Wi-Fi, Smart TV, living room is a great space to hang out with large couch, a loveseat, and a comfy chair in the corner. Small kitchen table that can be pulled out to add more chairs and tons of board games. On the side table you will find tons of board games to play with friends and family, so feel free to get competitive!

ATTIC LOFT: Featuring soft carpet, a large table for conference calls and laptop work, and two matching twin beds, the loft is a great place to find some peace and quiet.

KITCHEN: Fully equipped, stainless-steel appliances, cups, bowls, plates, mugs, and silverware are all provided as well as pots, pans, and cooking utensils. We also have large mixing bowls, measuring cups, and other essentials. Coffee machine with coffee.

GENERAL: All of our sheets are premium, crisp 100% cotton, bath towels are thick, soft, and luxurious. Complimentary toiletries, hair dryer, air conditioning, portable fans and heating.

PARKING: The driveway is quite long and can easily accommodate plenty of cars or motorcycles, always kept safe by the motion activated security camera.

Our recently remodeled attic loft has steep stairs and low ceilings, but we're totally in love with this space anyways! If traveling with a lot of kids, this space has plenty of extra room to lay down sleeping bags or use our extra blankets! We always keep a Graco travel bed for little ones as well that can be found upstairs and brought to any part of the house. We recommend that small children not be left unsupervised in this part of the home.

The large backyard can be accessed through the gate of the privacy fence (always kept unlocked) or through the sliding doors of the patio in the master bedroom. . The backyard also has beautiful stringed lights along the entire fence.

Above all else, our team care very deeply about keeping a clean home so our guests can feel at ease staying here. In between every guest we mop all floors, vacuum all carpets, scrub all surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom, replace the shower liner, wash all bedding (including quilts/shams), bleach all sheets and towels, wash all couch covers, and make sure everything is back in it's place before our new guests arrive.

Reminder: Maintenance aside from emergencies will only be able to be tended to during business hours 8am-5pm.

Cancellation policy:
We offer a free cancellation or a 100% refund of the amount payable if you cancel 30 days before your check-in date. If you cancel, we will charge a 20% processing fee (to cover credit card processing and administrative fees).
IMPORTANT NOTE: All guests are REQUIRED to SIGN the Renter's Agreement before checking in. This document comprehensively outlines the rules, policies, and terms governing your stay with us. By signing, you acknowledge and commit to adhering to these regulations throughout your tenure at our property.

Additional rules

1. If issues arise during your stay, you'll have to communicate promptly with us. Good communication between us (the host) and the guest is important for successful stays. You should respond to us (the hosts) within 24 hours when we are reaching out to resolve an issue.

2. It is a "must" to read the entire listing description and the house rules of our property. If, in this case, you DO NOT read over our listing description or house rules and are not comfortable with something that is clearly stated, we will uphold our cancellation policies.

3. No unregistered guests/visitors unless preapproved

4. No shoes in the attic loft

5. No climbing on railing in the attic loft

6. No small children left unattended in the attic loft

7. Follow state laws when using fire pit

10. For noise complaints

10.1 If we receive any noise complaints from neighbors a security guard will be called out to the property at a cost of $75 to guests for the first call out.
10.2. If security is called a second time during your stay, you will be charged a $250 fee and be removed from the premises with no refund of your stay.

11. No smoking anywhere in this house. If we find evidence of smoking anywhere in the house you will be charged $300 for extra cleaning.

Follow all check-out procedures:
1. Take out all trash
2. Wash dishes (or start dishwasher)
3. Throw used towels in basket

Note:

* A $200 extra cleaning fee may be charged if home is left unreasonably dirty and requires more work than usual to clean (for example: mud on the carpet). All damages will also be charged to guest.

* Check out time is scheduled for 10:00 am on the day of departure unless previously agreed with the host. If the guest is more than 90 minutes late checking out guest will be charged $200.

*Any costs incurred by the host as a result of a late check out will be passed on to you.

Simple but gets the job done
Stayed with my 2 teen boys for 5 nights. House was simply decorated and clean. We had plenty of space and did use the fire pit one evening. Location provided easy access to highways out of town. Explored Bad Lands, Black Hills, Custer SP and Mt Rushmore. Probably only needed 3 full days and not 4 to cover those, but absolutely loved both our long hiking days in Bad Lands and BHills. It’s beautiful country! My top drawbacks for the house/location were 1) Kitchen supplies are a bit limited. 2) There was no grill and told prior renter broke it. 3) It appeared as if cleaning crew put away a dishwasher full of dirty dishes without noticing they weren’t clean. I found an undissolved cleaning pack in the dishwasher which probably explained the issue but I think they should have realized the problem. I ended up washing everything by hand. (Again, other than this, the house was clean.) 4) The neighborhood is not scenic, and I would not count on walking anywhere. I did use the nearby laundromat around the corner and it was very clean and nice people running it. (I was well aware there were no laundry facilities in the house, but I don’t think I’d rent again for that many nights without one. Overall, we had a comfortable stay. It’s not a high end rental, but clean and simple and got the job done.

Impressed!
J & J have done such a nice job. The home was SO CLEAN that it made for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The bathroom was so clean and had tons of soft white towels available (plenty for our family of 5, including teenagers). The couch was soft. Overall, there were a lot of thoughtful details that made it nice to stay there.

Worked great for what we needed. We were in town for a graduation. Had 4 kids with us and worked good for them to have space to relax. They loved the yard!

GREAT LOCATION
The house was clean and well stocked. Close to all the dining and shopping. I didn't read the description good. This was the first house I stayed in that didn't have a washer and dryer. The owners lived in the basement apartment. Which was a little weird, but would have been ok, if they didn't have a baby as well. And they asked me to take out their trash. I've started in a few VRBO homes and these were all firsts for me.

Wonderful little house
This place was in a perfect location, close to all the shopping and downtown. The house itself was so charming, and the decor inside was so cute. The beds were super comfy and my kids loved the attic space. 10/10, would definitely stay again! Also, the hosts were super friendly during our stay. The restaurant recommendations were amazing, even if we only got to try a few. Just wonderful, all the way around!
