The farm is conveniently located at the northeaster corner of the Tampa Bay Area just a few minutes off of Interstate 75 which runs up and down the state of Florida. Two miles from the farm is entrance to the longest bike path in Florida and a boat landing to the Withlacoochee River. It is 35 minutes south of the Florida Horse Park Equestrian Center in Ocala and 50 minutes south of the new World Equestrian Center, the most beautiful and active equestrian center in the United States. Just 30 minutes east is Pine Island, a beautiful public beach on the Gulf of Mexico. Within 30 minutes of the farm are numerous rivers with kayaking rentals, Chrystal River and much more. Downtown Tampa and Tampa International are just 50 minutes south on Interstate 75 and Disney Land and all the fun amusement parks are just over an hour away. One can plan numerous wonderful day trips or just spend the day relaxing at the farm with its gentle rolling hills, gazebos and numerous hundred year old live oak trees with hanging moss in a little piece of paradise that rarely doesnât have a breeze.
The property is out of picture book, the sweeping
hills grad seem from the pergola capture the essence of the place. The guest house is like staying in the South of France. Just a delight all the way around.
Normandy South offers a getaway from hustle and bustle of most lodging locations. Seeing the horses out to pasture was pleasant and relaxing. The ownerâs dogs are friendly and for dog lovers their presence added an extra touch of charm. Once it warmed up, the gazebo was a great place to enjoy being outdoors. It was a bit of a trek to shopping, restaurants, etc. but we chose this place for the rural setting. The studio is spacious with comfortable seating.
