Cette maison est à distance de marche de la forêt de Withlacoochee pour des heures de randonnée amusante, de vélo, d'équitation et de chasse pendant les périodes désignées de l'année. Cette maison dispose également de 4 stalles pour chevaux ainsi que de 2 paddocks séparés pour les aiguillages de chevaux. Cette propriété a la faune en abondance des oiseaux de dinde de cerf ect. Peaceful Retreat

Loved everything about this property. So easy to get comfortable in, very well stocked, amazingly peaceful setting where cows and wildlife abound. The house is great and very roomy. Laundry is handy and there's a great little desk area that made checking with work a breeze. Visited with the owner, Lisa a few times when we were both out walking in the mornings, very pleasant.Nothing but good things to say about the Brooksville Retreat!

Home away from home

We had a long stay at this property and I don’t think I’m over exaggerating when I say it was PERFECT. Quiet and peaceful. Lisa is a wonderful host and super helpful. Would absolutely stay again!

Country Paradise

Our trip to Lisa’s property was phenomenal. The property itself was extremely clean and well kept. The home is situated on a small farm and we enjoyed seeing the animals. Lisa was extremely responsive to all of our inquiries and we appreciated the time being able to disconnect and have a family getaway.

Amazing and Relaxing!

My friend, my dog and I all absolutely loved our stay here! Alfie (my dog) loved running free on the two fenced acres. Seeing the farm animals was such a great experience. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Setting

Perfect for us! Could not have found a more serene location. Grounds were gorgeous for doggies to run around - fully secure with very good fencing/gate. The hammock of oak trees - so gorgeous - kept it shady & cool. Barely any bugs - we brought the spray but never once needed it. Maybe Mr. Owl takes care of all that!! Cottage was beautiful - cabin like. Pretty much at the end of the road so no traffic. Barely saw a couple cars/people. Heard farm animal sounds from nearby fields - so cool to hear them in the distance. Had the perfect weekend - one morning woke up to most gorgeous fog bank, then next evening a brief thunder storm and light rain - made it even more perfect. Thank you so much for sharing this property.

Perfect Doggy Vacation

First of all, this place far exceeded anything I could have hoped for! The property is so spacious and beautiful. I am pretty sure my dog thought this trip was just for her though. The completely fenced in property allowed her to roam everywhere for as long as she wanted. She never stopped smiling the whole time we were there. She has always saw those bigger farm animals from a distance, but she loved getting up close and personal with donkeys and cow (as long as the fence stayed between them lol). My human girls LOVED the claw foot tub, and I could barely keep them out of it. The bunk room made them feel like they had their own place as well. We will certainly stay here again when we visit our family Brooksville.

Outstanding Home!

Outstanding home! This vacation home was very clean and had everything we needed. The property is fenced and safe for dogs to roam free. We used the fire pit to make s’mores. There are donkeys and cows on the other side of the fence that often came to see us. Every morning and evening we would see the owls! It was so peaceful. Like a lot of other reviewers stated there was no phone signal but the wifi was more than sufficient. Highly recommend this house if you’re looking for a beautiful getaway spot. We went horse back riding, hiking to the caves and so much more. Hope to stay again in the future.

Beautiful

This was a very nice, clean, roomy home in a beautiful setting. We were surrounded by majestic live oaks, sweet donkeys and cattle. Our host was great! She was available for any questions we may have had. We had two other couples stay with us for a week of our stay of 25 days. There was plenty of room for all of us. Very comfortable. We got along fine with two bathrooms, except for the pretty claw foot tub. It had a shower nozzle, but no enclosure, so it’s kind of hard ti use. No one but me tried to use it. We enjoy peaceful, quiet properties like this, but just know, you will have to drive a bit if you want to go to the coast or sightsee. If you choose this place you will absolutely love it!

Wonderful vacation property....

This place is beautiful!! If you're looking for peace and tranquility this is it. We LOVED all the cows and donkeys roaming the pastures. I especially enjoyed watching the owls every morning. I hope to stay here again in the future.

Brooksville stay

One of the best homes to rent in the area. A lot of privacy and close to everything, golf hiking biking. We are going back in January 23.

Beautiful property, great quiet location. Loved all the animals on the property. Lots of hiking trail accesses near by. Recommend highly to anyone who wants a nice relaxing getaway. Will be back!!

Very beautiful location with an unfortunate situation

We had a unique experience. The property was very picturesque and very rural (good 15 minutes to get to the nearest store). Our trip was marred by fence removal and installation for 4 of the 6 days we were there. A significant amount of noise very early in the morning with workers milling around the property for a good part of the day. It was an uncomfortable experience. When we complained, the owner immediately apologized and gave us a 50% credit for the inconvenience. This was very much appreciated, however, the situation definitely detracted from the tranquil vacation we were looking for. We realize this was just an unfortunate situation regarding the timing of the fence replacement. My only caution to future renters is to "ask" if there will be any work being performed on the property during your stay (this would apply to any rental property). Under different circumstances, this property would have been ideal for a quiet and picturesque vacation. Large property surrounded by beautiful trees and pastures (with animals). Nice home that was well appointed. Overall, we would stay there again minus any construction.

Enjoyed Spring Break on the farm

We really enjoyed our week on the farm! The house was clean and a warm feeling when you walk in. We arrived late at night and the property was very dark, but loved the scenery the next morning! Our kids fell in love w the bull, Bruno! They loved seeing him outside everyday and a couple of them cried when they had to say goodbye at the end of our stay! House was clean and well stocked with towels. There was only one roll of paper towels provided so you may want to bring some or plan to buy once you arrive! There were lots of bugs and caterpillars on the outside of the house, so be sure to bring your bug spray!! All part of the farm experience, just be prepared with spray! Lisa the owner was super attentive and responsive to us and even let us visit all her farm animals one morning which we so enjoyed! If you’re looking for a quiet rural stay this is the place for you!! We truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to family and friends looking for a home on the farm! We drove about 50 mins and spent a couple days at the beach, swam with the manatees and visited giraffe ranch! Everything was a little drive but we didn’t mind that!
