New travel trailer 5 steps from waters edge on Lake Superior!
Please be aware it helps if you know how to operate a camper and a gas stove with electronic ignition. Modern camper with fantastic views of Lake Superior. Fall asleep to the waves of the lake, one dinette, full kitchen, microwave, coffee maker, kitchen island. 2 recliners, tv with roku, sofa, spacious. Full bath. Air conditioning, blue tooth, electric glass rock fireplace. CD player. This small resort shares space worth a cabin and camper with a good distance between each. A private fire pit is provided, outside chairs, picnic table and grill.
Stayed 6 days , toilet leaked on floor 5 days before it was replaced. Spent way too much time sopping up water with towels . I was not very happy about that considering itâs my only vacation for the year. It definitely put a damper on the trip , we didnât want to hang around the camper much.
It's a lovely little property, the RV is absolutely stunning! We pretty much just had to bring food, as everything else was supplied. It's right next to Hwy 41, but coming from the city, the traffic wasn't a problem for us. Wifi not the best but no biggie. Overall we were very pleased & plan on staying again.
Although it is a beautiful location steps away from the water in a wonderful RV, we did have issue with the microwave & stove not working. The owner replied that it could not be looked at that night and didnât know why it wasnât working. No offer to rectify the problem, so both nights, no microwave. We traveled 1100 miles round trip from downstate, so really only slept there. Otherwise very nice, beautiful sunrise Saturday morning and color in Copper Harbor!
We are familiar with the area so knew that it was very near the road but being literally steps from the sandy bay was more than worth the slight road noise. The RV was spotless, the host left a note for us. It was in the low 30's the first night, at one point the heater/furnace was blowing cold air and the stove wouldn't work - just a matter of replacing the propane tank which was taken care of the next day, the only other slight drawback is we were not given a key to lock the RV when we were gone as the host was in the process of having a replacement made - just a couple things I thought could have been addressed prior to our arrival. A couple items would be helpful as well, a large bowl and a knife - future guests may want to bring their own. With that advanced knowledge, I would highly recommend this rental. However, as the log cabin and the RV is the same price, I'd opt for the cabin if available next time.
Difficult directions. When I got ahold of owner she walked me through finding the property. Amenities: Bedsheets. Bed was comfortable once in. Difficulty getting in and out of the bed. Bath Towels with hot shower. Toilet which had a strong odor upon arrival, renter attempted to control smell! Kitchen was not a happy place for me. No cups, glasses, plates or bowls. Coffee maker with no coffee pods although there was a large rack for them. Oh my, the kitchen sink backed up. Owner attempted to get service for it with no response. Renter bought new plunger with no avail. So, two days with plugged kitchen sink. Enjoyed sitting outside in my folding chair enjoying the Bay. Pretty noisy road behind trailer. Think owner will work on getting all this straightened out. Also ROKU was difficult to use. Would have been great to have a brown and dust pan to sweep it out!
Our five night stay was incredible. The camper is clean and comfortable, with a well-appointed kitchen and everything you need to have a relaxing visit. We loved sitting by the water, listening to the waves as we fell asleep, and identifying all of the interesting birds and wildflowers nearby.
We are originally from this area. The camper and location was ideal for us and 2 little dogs. We will definitely stay here again. We got to see 3 loon families!
Nice camper⊠few things were being worked on a bit inconvenient would had liked a heads up but the view was beautiful, nice location, had some cleaning items could use broom and mop due to sandy area
Place was beautiful and very relaxing. Everything in the pictures was what was exactly there. It was a perfect little getaway to relax for a couple days before heading home back to MILWAUKEE. This was my first time in the UP! It was truly Godâs country up there. Everyone was very friendly. It was a perfect little getaway
First we booked vintage camper, poorly equipped and dingy, fortunately new camper was available for much more money, but very nice inside, however, location is right on very busy hiway, very noisy, WiFi did not work, never instructed on how wastewater worked, shower backed up, and sink backed up, took on myself to go out back and figure out how to drain.
Great camper. New. Clean. Comfortable. However not only is it 6 steps from the water - it is about 10 steps from highway 41. Very loud semis through the night.
Hard to find the place. No landmarks were provided so we drove around a bit before finally contacting the owner. She responded quickly and provided some landmarks - then able to find it.
No key or lock box so when we were gone during the day we could not lock up so had to bring valuables with us. No instructions inside the camper - difficult to figure out the roku. Ran out of hot water. Messaged the owner who arrived quickly - turns out we needed to turn on the switches for the hot water - but no instructions were provided - who knew?
Overall very nice camper. Very new - clean - and comfortable. About 50 mins from Porcupine Mountains. We did enjoy sitting by the water at night - just did not enjoy the traffic noise at night.
