My partner Joshua and I recently had the pleasure of staying in this incredible 1890s Victorian home in the heart of L'Anse, MI, and it was an unforgettable experience. Arriving late at night, we were immediately intrigued by the timeless beauty and charm of the house, which truly feels like a time capsule. The home is filled with original details and generations of family heirlooms, giving it a unique and warm atmosphere.
One of the highlights of our stay was meeting Jacquelyn, who graciously took the time to give us a full tour of the home and share its rich family history dating back to the 1800s. This brought a whole new dimension to our stay, as we truly felt connected to both the house and Jacquelyn on a deeper level. The spiritual energy we experienced as honored guests was undeniable.
Thank you, Jacquelyn, for your loving hospitality. We left with cherished memories and a heartfelt connection to this special place.

The host was welcoming and available for any requests. We feel the home was adequate but over-priced for the location and condition. Beautiful, wrap-around porch needed cleaning. Peaceful backyard with comfortable furniture.
It was very easy choosing this property to rent for a few days. And the check-in was even easier!
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home from the 1890âs. We elected to take our friend with us and she was totally blown away!
There were plenty of sheets, blankets and towels. The only thing lacking was larger sized coffee cups and pan lids, but we managed just fine.
The property manager was very polite and close by if needed for anything. We would definitely recommend this rental home to everybody.
Beautiful old home. Lots of character! Loved it. Would stay here again. Lots of space in the home. Super close to down town. Lots of fun activities close by.
If I could give 10 stars I would! The accommodations were first rate and beyond what was described down to the candies in the bedroom and treats in the kitchen. Wifi was good, porch was breezy, beds comfortable, and that bear claw bath tub.... :) . Check in was beyond easy . Our contact was kind and very helpful! Everything about this stay was exceptional--We will be back!!
We used the L'Anse location as a last outdoor adventure before dropping off a student at Michigan Tech, about 40-min away. It gave us a chance to hike as a family and play disc-golf. The property was a great old home nice rooms and some period pieces you would expect in such a home. The wrap around porch was the highlight as it was hot during the day and an evening on the porch was a nice way to relax.
After lots of driving and hiking, my teens and I loved that we had space to spread out when we returned for the night. The home was very comfortable and clean. Air conditioning upstairs would have made it perfect!
We definitely enjoyed our extended stay at this historic home in L'Anse. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and all the cheery lights helped chase away the winter darkness. The house was very welcoming to come back to after a day out. Property manager, Therese, was always helpful and available to answer any of our questions. The neighborhood provides nice walking opportunities. We consider ourselves fortunate to have found this unique gem!
The house was emasculate and had the most beautiful character and charm. Centrally located. We came up for a nice fall weekend getaway and we're blown away by the hospitality and experience.
The location was excellent and the house was incredibly clean! Therese was so hospitable and made our trip so special. We miss this beautiful Victorian already. Thank you so much for everything!
Great little town centrally located. House is charming and comfortable with a front porch that is hard to leave. The property manager, Therese, is incredibly hospitable and makes great cookies! Wonderful stay.
The house was great, perfect size and location for us to make day trips to Marquette, Copper Harbor and the Porkies. The cookies upon arrival were an added bonus that didnât last long.
This house was very cool! The wrap around porch was lovely. The beds were clean and comfy. The house was well equipped. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
How lovely it was to have this huge Victorian house to come back to every day after seeing the sights. We went up the Keeweenaw Peninsula, went to Porcupine Mountains, hiked to different waterfalls, fished from different spots (there are plenty!) enjoyed the beauty and closeness of Baraga Bay, and the town of L'Anse. We recommend driving around the bay to The Drive In- great burgers and some of the best chocolate custard we've ever had, and great prices. They all wore masks, were spraying and wiping down menus (plastic) after every use, and ran their butts off getting orders taken and bringing food to your car window. At the house, Therese, the property manager, was welcoming and so kind. She gave me a beautiful hand-made gift as a keepsake and remembrance as it was our 30th Anniversary. She gave us a map of the area and hints for places to check out. We wanted for nothing- the home is filled with everything you'll need. The towels were fluffy and absorbent, the bedding was so soft and clean, the laundry is upstairs and super convenient, laundry detergent, toilet paper, soap, paper towel- it's all provided which is rare and nice. The tv has satellite with Netflix to watch and loads of DVDs as well. Things were unplugged when we tried watching but luckily my husband knows what he's doing and knew what went where and got it hooked up. The wrap-around porch was lovely to sit out on when it was cooler and just relax with a drink. We also loved sitting on the white sofa and just enjoying the room. The AC cools the downstairs beautifully but you'll need the provided fans upstairs if it's hot when you stay. Worth it. :) If we ever come this far Up North again (and I hope we do) I'd definitely stay here again.
