Everything was clean and neat as usual. Kim, the host, is most accomodating, friendly, complete pleasure to converse with. The sauna is an exceptional way to end a long day on the trout streams. Chickens provide wonderful eggs. Location on a quiet street, private backyard offers a very comfortable feel. A great jumping off point for daily adventures. No better, friendlier place to stay in the region.
Kim was a great host. Accommodations were more than we expected and we were delighted. The fresh eggs were just a wonderful addition! The location was great for our hiking and waterfall excursions. We loved staying here and would definitely stay here again!
Overall this is a wonderful place to stay, cozy, clean AND THE MOST DOG FRIENDLY. The location was a bit more remote than expected and as husband is a big/tall guy, the bathroom configuration was too tight for his comfort. The host is absolutely fantastic to work with and aimed for our yotal satisfaction with our stay!
We had such an amazing time at Kimâs cabin! The location was perfectâclose enough to explore sites on the Keeweenaw Peninsula, and Kim shared some great locations to see, which made our trip even more memorable. One of the biggest highlights for us was being able to bring our two dogsâour big 80-pound pup and our little beagle. They absolutely loved the fenced-in area to play, and Kim even went out of her way to bring over treats and a ball for them. That thoughtful touch meant so much. The cabin itself was stocked with everything we could needâcoffee, ice, water, condiments, and moreâwhich made us feel right at home. There was even a washer and dryer available, which we didnât need, but it was nice to know it was there.Kim was such a gracious and helpful host, checking in and making sure we were comfortable from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay. We couldnât have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend staying here anytimeâyou wonât be disappointed!
This home has anything you may need for your stay. Host is great and friendly. Nice place and very relaxing. Fresh eggs too! We love it here. Great home base for our travels and adventures! thank you!
This is our second trip staying at Kimâs cabin. She always has everything you need and a very clean house. We brought a couple of grandkids and our three dogs this time and itâs so nice having a fenced in yard so the dogs can run around in as soon as I figured out how to use the doggie door. Itâs in a very nice and quiet neighborhood and farm fresh eggs are always a message away. Thank you again for your quick responses to all of my messages and thank you for being a great host. Weâre looking forward to our next day, if itâs available.Kevin and Alice
The property is well kept. My issue would be with the electrical situation. Extension cords with multiple outlets are every where. I would be concerned about an electrical fire. Too many things running on extension cords plugged into a single outlet.
As other reviews have said, it is a very clean and well-stocked comfortable place to stay! Honestly, it is nicer than the photos show. Thank you for a great stay!!
We stayed in the upper peninsula for five nights in this very well equipped cottage. It was unbeatable for the price and served nicely as a base of exploration. Itâs about a 12 mile driving into Houghton and we were a little surprised at the remoteness of the property. But if you are looking for a scenic, peaceful experience, this is it.
Nice little cottage, cozy and comfy. Love that it's dog friendly and fenced in. Kim is very friendly, love the fresh eggs from her chickens. Kim thought of everything one might need but forgot to pack. We didn't use the sauna, but that looked nice as well. A wonderful experience!
