Important Notice – Ongoing Roofing Project
Please be advised that the Summit Homeowners Association is coordinating a roofing project on the property through May 2025, and construction may take place during your stay. We expect minimal disruption and all materials will be confined within a fenced-off area located on the northeast side of the parking lot.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.
This rental is located on floor 8.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Consider a different unit

We have visited Tops’l for 20+ years and were members when we lived here. We still enjoy the resort, but we could not recommend this unit until it is cleaned very thoroughly and ideally renovated extensively. However, Vacasa immediately resolved the situation and moved us to an excellent unit in the same building (Summit).

Great Stay! Great Communication!

We loved staying at our place at The Summit. The place was beautiful, as described on the website, clean and everything was in place from linens to kitchen items. The communication was the best I have ever had when renting. One bathroom had a slightly torn shower curtain upon arrival and a little water would back up in the tub when you ran the shower for a while. When I contacted the host with VACASA, they were on top of it and willing to get someone their immediately to take care of it. We declined them coming to fix the small issue since it was just my wife and I and we were only staying for a couple days. It was so nice having a company put such a premium on customer service. We will definitely be back and use VACASA agin.

Great condo with a gorgeous view.

The master bedroom and living room view is stunning. The furnishings are beautiful and very comfortable. Several pools to use. Easy beach access just a walk away. We will definitely try to book this place again.

Great time at Tops’l

Loved how we are away from the craziness of Destin. Easy beach access and the bartenders at the pool were gracious. White powder beach is the best. Unit was clean and perfect for three but could have accommodated more of us. We will def come back again

Stayed at the Summit

Great locations, very clean unit, great view, close to the elevators, very well stocked, decorated beautifully, short walk to the beach, mini 18 hole putt putt course great shopping. Definitely we will be back!

The Summit 811

The unit wasn’t ready when we got to the guest registration at 4:30pm, though check-in time starts at 4pm. The unit was not very clean with stains on the floor and moldy shower curtain. One of the bathtubs didn’t drain properly. The unit is for sale and it definitely needs some upgrades. At least a fresh coat of paint. It was by far the worst unit we have ever stayed in.

Disappointed

My family and I stay at Tops’l resort at least twice a year. But this was my first time staying at the summit. We’ve always stayed at The Tides. The home overall was okay. There is a roach problem in this unit. I may have overlooked 1 or 2 but there were several. Mainly in the kitchen on the walls and stove. Others were crawling on the bathroom walls. This definitely negatively impacted my family and I during our stay. I hate that this was our first impression of the Summit. We will probably stick with The Tides moving forward.

Nice but…

Lovely condo. Wonderful amenities. Decorated beautifully. Excellent view. But… there are no bedspreads or blankets. This was a huge problem. We were cold. We turned up the heat, and then it was too hot. We would come back if this were fixed. Maybe this is a covid thing.

Fabulous location and property

This unit was beautiful. The view was perfect and it is just a short walk to the beach within this resort. We preferred this because it was so nice and quiet in this building but you still get the beautiful views and breeze. We slept soundly every night. These units are surprisingly soundproof. I assume that's because of the building codes for hurricanes. The beach here was perfect... this location ends at the public beach and abuts the beginning of a private beach, so density on the beach is low compared to other areas. At the end of the walkway from the property to the beach, there is a nice beach shack where you can rent things for the water or a set of beach chairs and umbrellas - all neatly set up by the workers each morning. There is also another pool right at the entrance to the beach that has a bar for cocktails and/or food if you prefer to hang by the pool and people watch or overlook the beach. The beach has beautiful, soft white sand and it was perfect for morning walks and sunset views. In addition, this unit was central to everything on the property... the beach, the fitness center, tennis courts, private pool, and mini-golf. We had a lovely time. I especially liked the large weight room with the full-length glass windows that let in so much natural light. Very nice to get in a good workout on the few rainy days when we were there. Also, for those unfamiliar with this area, this property is perfect in relation to Destin and the surrounding area. It's located at the newer end of the strip and the surrounding shopping and restaurant choices are plentiful and very nice. We had a lovely time and the resort staff was very nice and always helpful.

It was a great experience from beginning to end! We loved the condo we stayed in and it was good and clean!! Even tho Summit isn’t right on the beach we had great views and it was only a short, maybe 3 min walk to the beach! They have everything there that a person could want and it’s close to great shopping and food!!

Incredible vacation location

We brought our family of 5 to this very clean, and spacious condo over spring break. The unit has plenty of room with a nice size kitchen, large dining room table, and comfortable furniture. We oftentimes took in the tropical breeze from the comfort of a chair on the balcony. The property has so many fun things to do including 18 holes of mini golf, a clean heated pool, large hot tub, tennis and pickle ball courts, and even shuffleboard, all just a few steps away from the elevators. The icing on the cake is being able to wake up in the morning and throw open the curtains to see the beautiful turquoise water and rolling gulf waves. The beach was never over crowded, and the sand is a pure, pristine white. A very beautiful place to catch a sunrise or sunset. The Summit 811 TOPS'L is a true tropical paradise and highly recommended for anyone wishing to take a relaxing break from it all for a few days. We will definitely be back!

Great Comfort

The Summit Building at Tops’l was a great location for a vacation. It is centrally located at Tops’l. It’s worth getting a condo with a view of the water; most enjoyable with the private balcony. The condo was immaculate. It included laundry detergent, dishwasher tablets, and extra liquid hand wash. Paper towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and toilet paper were also included. Three elevators were very helpful. I was most impressed when a staff member in office called to let us know that our condo was ready at 2:30, so we did not have to wait till 4 for “Check In.” The ladies in the office were very courteous! The fireworks on Friday night were an unexpected treat!

Loved #811 at the Summit! The unit faces the ocean so our morning coffee was a pleasure on the balcony. We had the best sleep that we have every had in 18 years at Tops`l because the beds were so comfortable. Beautifully decorated in beachy whites and blues. I accidentally left my swimsuit and toothbrush base. I called Gibson Beach Rentals and housekeeping had found the items. The items are being shipped to me! We will definitely look to see if #811 if available in the future.

Great gem of a property. The views were gorgeous. Short walk to and from the beach. Enough time to get the sand off and dried off from the beach. The room was quiet and having two full beds instead of twins sold us. Thank you for the personal touches and a great stay!
