Cozy ranch house with views of Big Mountain - 4 miles from downtown.

Mountain views, ranch setting (horses and all) while still 4 miles from Downtown and 23 miles from Glacier. This 1200 sqft cozy cabin has all you or your family needs. Its nestled away from the main road, so if you are looking for a quiet spot to relax and soak in the beauty of Montana this is your place. Built in 2011 it has all the conveniences with an up-to-date look at feel. Vaulted ceilings, giant windows looking at Big Mountain with incredible views of sunsets.

The Master Bedroom has a king size bed that connects to the bathroom. The bathroom has two sinks and a newly updated shower and vanity area. The upstairs loft has 3 twin beds where adults or kids can enjoy time all together.

As you drive down our tree-lined drive and pass our horses you feel your worries melt away as you settle into what Montana has to offer. We love our little spot of heaven, where you feel like you're out of town but just a 7 min car ride to the heart of Whitefish and 15 min drive to Big Mountain to ski.

You will be next door to our main house so anything you might need just let us know. We have horses and very friendly dogs (hypo allergenic) on the property. We live on 10 acres so there is plenty of room to stretch out.

We have prepped this house to have everything you might need, from blenders to nespresso maker. We hope to make your trip to Whitefish memorable and a delight!

Absolutely perfect!!

If you’re considering booking a stay at this breathtaking property, just do it! Gorgeous views, quiet and private, yet still close to grocery and conveniences. John and Kristine are sweet, helpful, and thoughtful hosts. It felt more like we were staying with friends than renting. My teenager loved playing basketball and interacting with the horses and sweet dogs. The home is clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything you need. Now I have to find a reason to come back!

Our favorite VRBO and family trip ever

Our family of five came into town for an event in Whitefish in August, and also visited Glacier National Park for three full days of hiking and exploring. This property was the perfect place to come back to recharge for our next adventure. We left early and came back late most days, and the kitchen was perfect for all our meal prepping. The beds were comfortable, and the kids liked having their own loft space. The sunsets over the mountains were idyllic and the host family were some of the nicest people we have had the pleasure of staying with, and hope to cross paths with them again someday. Having dogs and horses on the property was a major selling factor for our kids (ages 9-15) and really added to the homey ranch experience. They also had an outdoor basketball court that they were happy to share, and our son was thrilled. Our family vacation was really elevated by our stay at this rental and we all loved our time there to reconnect and appreciate the authentic beauty of Montana. Thank you Christine and John for opening your home and for your amazing hospitality!

Excellent Stay!

The property was fabulous and the hosts were even better. Our family of four had a wonderful experience. Whitefish, Flathead, Glacier National, Big Mountain...all easily accessible from this central location. Highly recommended!

A Wonderful Place to Stay in the Flathead Valley!

Rarely does a property so exceed our expectations. This cabin is located in a beautiful corner of the Flathead Valley, close to both Whitefish and West Glacier. It is large and extremely well-furnished with all the modern conveniences one expects in a high-end property. The four of us were very comfortable and regretted only that we could not stay longer. Although the cabin itself is worth a visit, the hosts -- John and Kristine -- make our experience unforgettable. Not only were John and Kristine responsive to all our requests, they treated us as friends from the very start. We enjoyed visiting with them as much or more than staying at the cabin. And our daughter will never forget their horses! We recommend this property and cannot wait for the opportunity to stay there again.

Great location / Beautiful property

Not having been to whitefish before we didn’t really know what we were looking for. We really lucked out with this property. The location is perfectly between whitefish, Kalispell, and Columbia Falls. Awesome view of Big Mountain and beautiful sunsets. The property owners are really accommodating and super friendly. The master bed is really comfortable too!

Great place

Lovely place, scenic ranch setting surrounded by mountains. Very friendly, thoughtful hosts. We were staying as part of a family vacation and both adults and kids had a great time. One thing to know- there is a fire pit outside which is not shown in the pictures. This was something we specifically looked for and almost chose another place because we thought that there wasn’t one. We were pleasantly surprised to find one, plus ample dry wood and even supplies for s’mores. A+++

Great stay!

We loved our stay at this cabin! The property is gorgeous and the owners are so very lovely! We stayed with our two children, they loved having the grassy lawn out front to play and walking to see the longhorn cattle everyday. We had enough space to really spread out. It was very close to town, but felt so peaceful and quiet. The views were amazing! Really beautiful property and cabin! Highly recommend!

Five stars for location, accomodations and hosts!

Location is ideal to the airport, downtown Whitefish, and Glacier National park. The hosts couldn't be more accommodating. In advance they provided information on place to eat, activities to do, places to see. No need for a travel agent! The cabin itself was the perfect size for our family. The kids enjoyed staying in the loft area and the kitchen and living room space were a great size. Highly recommend!!! Looking forward to our next visit!

Amazing location on quiet ranch!

Location of this home on the ranch can’t be beat if you want to have great views of the mountains, quick access to Glacier National, and unlimited options all the surrounding towns have to offer! The owners were more than gracious in helping us feel right at home, making sure we had everything we needed. Our 3 children aged 10-16 loved the loft bedrooms, and we all enjoyed the scenery on the ranch. My wife and I enjoyed that it was just a mile off the highway giving us super quick access to all we needed but still the quiet mountain vacation we were seeking. We fell in love with western Montana while here and will surely seek out this home away from home when we are able to return!
