Enjoy amazing views of Pikes Peak from inside and out at this two-story home that also features a well-equipped, full kitchen, a dining table for four, and a comfortable living area with DirecTV, and a warming glass-front wood stove, all set beneath a soaring peaked roof and illuminated by a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows. For the ultimate relaxation, grab one of the provided towels and head out to your private hot tub for a peaceful soak, or fire up the gas grill for a midsummer family barbecue.

When you want to get out and explore, this home is convenient to a number of must-visit attractions including the Eleven Mile Canyon Recreation Area for hiking, rock climbing, and picnicking just two-and-a-half miles away as well as the fun and fascinating Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument area, less than six miles from your door. Take a guided tour of the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, eight miles east. And if you're looking for great coffee and good eats, this home is just three miles west of the Costello Coffee House and Iron Tree Restaurant & Brewery.

Lovely weekend

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed getting away for the weekend; this little cabin really had so much to offer in the way of some much needed R&R. Would highly recommend.

Very Private

All the basics to have a private stay and do your own cooking inside or out. Good cell service. Can hike the property for a good walk. (100+ acres) Small general store is close. Easy drives to BV, W. Park, Cripple Creek.

Breathtaking Mountain Views

Beautiful cabin, surrounding area is covered by forest scenery and breathtaking mountain scene. Home was cozy, and inviting! we sat in the hot tub and just enjoyed the beauty! would definitely recommend!!

Good little house

We had a great weekend away at this property. I would say it’s more of a rustic cabin though. It has some quirks and you can hear the highway close by, and there are neighbors that can be seen. It wasn’t as clean as I was hoping it be, that could use some improvements. Overall it was an amazing experience and a place I would recommend to others. It was the perfect little getaway spot.

Cabin that’s worth the views

Is it older, yes. Is it small, yes. But are the views of pikes peak worth every little grip any reviewer may have?… absolutely. Get up before the sun, hike out to the valley and watch the beauty of nature come alive as the warm sunshine finds the west side of pikes peak. You’ll be glad you did.

Where Memories Are Made!

This property offered my family an amazing opportunity to experience Colorado with stunning views, gorgeous terrain, plentiful wildlife, and a clean, beautiful cabin! We throughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to others. A BIG thank you to the owners for sharing their little piece of heaven with our family. A wonderful time

VERY secluded which is what we wanted. No neighbors in sight. Very clean inside. The hot tub had a problem of getting over 90, probably due to the cold. We enjoyed it though. The road in was freshly maintained. Lots of room upstairs for more guests. It stayed very warm even without the wood-burning stove. We'd stay again.

Great place, location, some small issues

We loved the place overall. Only quirks here and there that were inconvenient, but nothing major. Would HIGHLY recommend a 4x4 vehicle to get up the driveway, especially if it has been wet weather at all. The hot tub will constantly shut off, which was advertised by the host beforehand, and you just have to pull the breaker and reset it. Some things on the inside of the house were very dusty/dirty, like the floor fan upstairs, which isn’t a huge deal, just when you’re paying hundreds for cleaning fees, you expect it to be clean. Overall, we loved it, it snowed during our stay which made it so magical. Very quaint, charming and secluded area. Great getaway.

Amazing location.

The cabin and surrounding area are magical! Wildflowers in full bloom, stunning views off the deck of Pike’s Peak, and lots of privacy. That being said, there were some elements that could improve. The hot tub didn’t warm up past 91 degrees, the propane tanks were empty so I had to go to town to fill them in order to grill, and the dishwasher didn’t clean the dishes. We had to hand wash them before and after use to make sure that they were clean. Overall, an incredible stay that we loved, but we would have loved to use the hot tub. At 91 degrees it was a bit too chilly at night.

Love the views but house needs work.

The Clarke Homestead was a jewel but unfortunately it is in disrepair. The blinds don’t work. The screen door to deck is destroyed. The deck boards are loose, with some rot and twisted. One window upstairs has no screen and one of the panorama/ view windows is cloudy. The stove top is filled with grease and caught fire 🔥-we discovered the frying pan is cracked and leaks onto stove top. The exterior needs to be cut and trimmed around the house perimeter given recommended fire safety practices in Park County. On the plus side the sheets, towels and bathroom were clean and fully stocked, as were the hot tub towels. Hot tub worked worked fine, with no issues. The house needs a full on cleaning from top to bottom.

Great Escape!

We had a great time staying here! The property is absolutely beautiful and the Mountain view was amazing. The home was clean and had a few kitchen items (salt, cooking spray, pots, pans, etc). It also has everything you need to use the grill and the hot tub out on the deck. The dryer was broken, so we had to lay all of our clothes out to dry, which was super inconvenient. The stove burners need replaced or cleaned really well, they smoked when cooking and set the smoke alarm off. Also, don’t expect to have a real comfortable place to watch a movie or TV at night. The TV is old with a broken DVD/VHS player built in. Overall, we had a great time and the few inconveniences we experienced were nothing to really fuss about!

Quaint getaway

Our family of six had an amazing time at this beautiful cabin nestled in the woods with a gorgeous view of Pikes Peak! Everything was very clean, and well taken care of! Kitchen was stocked with necessities! Our kids loved the loft area! Hot Tub was a Plus!

Anniversary getaway

This is a beautiful property within driving distance of many of Colorado’s great adventures. We love staying in the Florissant area and this rental will not disappoint! You will want to bring ALL your own cooking supplies because there is pretty much just salt & pepper on site and one small frying pan.
