We really enjoyed this cozy, quiet cabin in the woods. Everything you need for a quiet getaway. Lots of outdoor options nearby, we enjoyed hiking Horsethief Park and Lost Creek Wilderness. Host was friendly and responsive, I highly recommend this for anyone interested in the area!
We loved staying at this property! When we drove up, we were in awe of the scenery. You can look right off the back deck onto a spectacular scenery of mountains! It was breathtaking. The cabin is super cute. There is no air conditioning but it was not needed. The cool mountain air was very comfortable. The bed was comfy and clean. And, the shower had good water pressure making for a satisfying shower. The kitchen was well stocked. It had everything we needed. We cooked a lot of meals here and used the outdoor BBQ twice, while relaxing in the chairs provided and taking in a gorgeous view. The back deck was wonderful. We enjoyed humming birds, mountain jays, golden mantled squirrels as we sat and rested after a long hike. There are numerous places to sit and relax on the back deck. TV in nearly every room with excellent reception. The road to the cabin is a bit rough but well worth it. We will definitely stay here again. It was one of our most enjoyable cabins.
Beautiful views and peaceful. My only complaints would be both doors to the deck are quite difficult to open and close and i don't feel the property manager (not the property owner) does a very good job of inspecting the property before the next visitors arrive. The bedding smelled, crumbs on the counter and floor in kitchen area, as well as the vacuum being full of pet hair and a sponge to do dishes was way past being thrown out. Never heard of a rental that asks you to wash the linens before leaving. With a 5hr window till next visitors, it's ample time for manager to make sure everything is up to par.
Quiet, up on a mountain, rests this cabin. Wonderful layout, clean, comfortable, great amenities ( everything you could need). 20 minutes from multiple restaurants and several activities. Abundant wildlife especially birds. A great place to sit on the porch and relax. We had a wonderful time. Thank you for an excellent experience. All wheel drive recommended
The cabin was beautiful! The views from the deck are amazing! 10 minutes from a local grocery store and about 30-45 to local attractions. Highly recommend this cabin. The only thing is, is the primary bedroom's mattress is extremely firm. Other than that, great experience!
After a busy spring season at work, I wanted a week away to change gears. I found it here. Beautiful views, fantastic outdoor space, gorgeous log cabin where, it felt to me, a great deal of love and care went into its design. A week here was exactly what I needed to push the re-set button.
A perfect place for a quiet, cozy retreat in the mountains. Very convenient to lots of hiking and outdoor activities. The small chapel on the property provided a lovely place for reflection and prayer.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at a cozy cabin at a B&B in Florissant, Colorado, and it was an absolute treat! From the moment I arrived, I was struck by how spotlessly clean the cabin wasâeverything felt fresh and welcoming, setting the tone for a relaxing stay. The real magic, though, came with the stunning views. The cabin offered front-row seats to breathtaking sunrises and sunsets that painted the sky in vibrant hues. I could have spent hours just soaking it all in. But the true highlight? The deer that wandered by at sunset. Not only did they grace us with their presence, but they seemed to know they were the stars of the showâposing for pictures like they were ready for their close-up! It was such a fun and whimsical touch to an already unforgettable experience. This B&B is a gem for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with a dash of natureâs charm. Iâd go back in a heartbeat!
The bed was the perfect amount of firmness and we slept so good! I was afraid of how steep the roads might be getting here but it wasnât bad at all! 10/10 experience
We are a family of four and our puppy makes five. We are from San Antonio, Texas originally. While in Colorado on business we fell in love with the area. After years of visiting we decided to build our own little get away in the mountain. My husband built all the inside of this cabin as well as the outside shed and chapel. My husband and I wanted to move to Florissant for one year. Our ten year old daughter said she would do it IF Dad builds me a chapel. Well, she got her chapel.
Quiet and great views on this hill top. You can see Pikes peak thru the trees or on small walks around the property. Quiet area with mule deer, birds, fox, bear and other animals.
