We recently stayed at this unit at Sugar Beach and had a lovely experience. The space was exceptionally clean and well maintained, which made it feel comfortable right away. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals, and the living area was cozy — the couch was especially comfortable for relaxing in the evenings. The bed was also very comfortable, and we slept great throughout our stay.Being on the ground floor made the unit easily accessible, which was especially convenient for coming and going throughout the day. While the ocean view is limited, you still get a nice glimpse and the overall setting more than makes up for it.Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable visit, and we would happily stay here again

Sugar Beach Resort

We had a great time during our stay. The condo was very clean and accessible to the beach. Had a great pool and an on property rental shop for items needed to snorkel etc. The only thing would be that the parking is a bit crowded and the bathroom area was on the smaller side. Price point is as great for us as well!

Stay was pretty good. The beds were really comfortable to retire on after a day of fun and play. Safeway and abc stores are close by to get your groceries and supplies. being centrally located it was easy to hit all the spots in Maui

Is this heaven? No, Maui. I could have sworn this is heaven!

Beautiful property, well taken care of. Everything the pictures showed. Unit beautifully decorated & well stocked. We were on first floor & were steps to the pool just off the lanai & about 30 steps to the beach. Office staff were terrific & property staff very considerate. The beach is quiet & on the first day we walked 3 miles one way to Maalaea Harbor& back. Beautiful sunsets. My wife would like to live in Maui. Lots to do. We hiked down into the awesome Haleakala Crater & watched the sunset from the summit. Beautiful. Did a sunset dinner cruise & a Molokini snorkel trip & luckily saw a humpback whale & calf although late in the whale watching season. Loved Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice! We highly recommend Sugar Beach Resort.

Dryer and blunder switch

Hot air from dryer come into shower room, it was terrible smell and we try all over the wall and towel. One of the window blinder Mover in room was not working.

Nice property

Overall, a very nice property. However a few things would make it a great property. 1) there was absolutely no spices or condiments. Only one shaker of salt and pepper. If you are planning on cooking there, you will need to either purchase everything you want to use for cooking or bring it all with you. 2) no corkscrew. I had to buy one at a store 3) terrible selection of wine glasses. It looks like they were purchased at 3 different garage sales or they got them from a child’s kitchen set. 4) if you like a quiet morning coffee, you better have it before they start the pool aerobics. We ended up having to go inside when they started it. Very annoying. 5) no cleaning supplies (like 409) for cleaning glass tables or kitchen countertops. 6) they only left us with one roll of toilet paper. Had to buy more. Very close to a great beach, well supplied with towels. Fix the little stuff and we would come back.

Great Family Vacation

We had a great time at Sugar Beach. It was great being oceanfront and not having to worry about the kids crossing the road. Ground level room we had a 20 second walk to the beach. Watching the sunset was a daily event for us. We liked our pool time and the other guests were friendly. The kitchen was great we cooked up a lot of meals in there and the bbq facility was nice and clean. The place is well groomed with the staff raking and cleaning daily. Strongly recommend this place.

Wonderful condo- wonderful stay!

We had rented several condos for our family. This one was used by our son and his family- met every need and provided a wonderful vacation time for all!! Having a ground floor was super great for the kids and especially so close to the pool. Was a wonderful trip for all of us!

Overall good experience

I wish the beach out front had some better rocks for snorkeling. But that would be my only complaint 🙂 Amenities are wonderful, the grounds crew does an awesome job, the pool and beach are easy to access for a short bit rather than having to plan to be gone for beach time. We had a very comfortable, ground level condo and our two year loved running around and picking up plumeria flowers that had fallen.

A beautiful and modern "private-feel" unit

This is a beauitful, modern unit that is updated with a fully stocked kitchen, bathroom appliances and bedding. The lanai felt private with the large native plants, and the ground floor location was great for kids to play out on the grass and the pool was very easily accessible. However, the cleanliness of the unit could have been better--hair was tangled in the vent in shower and balls of hair noted underneath the bedroom bed. The fans worked well, but on the "high setting" they looked unstable. Overall, I highly recommend this unit and I would stay here again!
