Beautiful vacation home fully updated in 2021 with brand new furniture throughout (1/4 mile to Candlewood Lake and local popular marina for all your boating/water activity rental needs). 2,500 sq. ft 2 story house with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and spacious high ceiling main floor layout - including gourmet kitchen, dining room, and open large living and family rooms (both with big screen wall mounted tvs). Living and dining room also features a double-sided fireplace.

Enjoy the outside property (nearly 1 acre lot) including a wrap around covered porch, backyard stone paver patio with bbq grill and summer lounge chairs/outdoor dining table, and large 20’x40’ gunite heated private pool + spa, plus basketball hoop alongside the driveway.

Area activities - nearby hiking, public golf courses + driving range, motor boat/kayak/canoe/SUP rentals, fishing, Dike Point Park beach and picnicking (5 min walk), historic New Milford town and Housatonic River (4 mile drive), and plenty of great restaurants, shopping, and entertainment.

Great house for multiple people !!!

We stayed 10 days and the house was perfect for all of us. We were a group of 6 Adults one teen and a 3 year old everything was as listed in the description.

Wonderful!

This home was just as the listing described. Loads of space with all the facilities you need in a house. Area was peaceful and had all we needed for our vacation. The property was truly a gem and a great place to spend time with family. The house is extremely well equipped and had all the features for a great vacation. The house is spacious and comfortable with a lovely pool! We had a great week! Adam was a great host - always available to answer questions and ready to help. Would definitely recommend this rental.

A great home for a family vacation!

This home was the perfect place for our family's summer vacation. The heated inground pool and spa were enjoyed every day by us. My 2-year-old granddaughter had a blast in the bubble pool (spa!). The driveway basketball court was put to use most days as well. My wife, who I never saw pick up a basketball in her life, (and we've been married since 1977) even made 4 shots in a row at one point. What?! There must be magic in this place! Adam (the owner) was friendly, helpful and responsive during the reservation process, check in and checked with us to make sure we got settled in properly. The home is very clean, with all new furniture, appliances, modernized rooms and bathrooms. Having the towels and bed linens provided was a big plus. The kitchen is fully furnished with all the utensils, pots, pans, plates, glasses and silverware we needed for preparing some of our meals at the house. For those that want to dine out, there are plenty of restaurants in the area. Food shopping was nearby, only a few miles away. I took advantage to work out during the week at the New Milford Fitness & Aquatic Center that is about a 10 minute ride from the house. They offer a week's guest pass for $30 so you won't have to skip your gym days while on vacation. There was also a nearby Housatonic River walking trail we took advantage of during our week to get out in nature. Candlewood Lake is close by. Our original intent was to go the the lake's beach each day, that was about 1/4 mile away, but with the convenience of the nice backyard pool we never did go jump in the lake! The home has several large screen TV's, with easy to use remote controls, to fill in some evening downtime. My entire family enjoyed the week at this home

Excellent experience!

I stayed at this house in New Milford over the Christmas holiday week with my family (including 2 kids) and my in-laws. Adam was an excellent host - he responded quickly to any questions I had about the house both before I reserved the house and during our stay there, and the check-in process and getting into the house was very easy and smooth. (And he even mailed a package to us that we had accidentally left at the house.) The house itself was very comfortable and spacious - it has 2 large living spaces downstairs, both with large and nice TVs so it was very comfortable to lounge around and relax in either of those spaces, and to have the kids or in-laws be in one space and be in the other so we could be doing different things but be able to check in on each other easily when we wanted to. During our time there, we had some relatives and friends stop by, and even though we only used the main living rooms when they were there, it still felt very spacious even with the guests. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment and basics making it easy for us to do things like make muffins or brownies. While it was cold for most of our stay there, we did spend a bit of time on the wraparound covered porch which is very nice and even in the back area with the pool. I can easily imagine how nice those aspects would be in the summer. We spent some time in the yard and with the basketball hoop which was nice, and the location of the house is ideal - it's a quiet street but very close and convenient to a Stop n Shop and Wal-Mart, as well as a bunch of restaurants, both fast-food/casual like Panera and others like a sushi place, which made getting food easy if we didn't have time to cook. I'd highly recommend the property as a vacation rental!
