Welcome to 12 Governors Lane Hilton Head Island, South Carolina! Our home is recently updated and includes a brand new pool/spa, expansive patio overlooking the pool and fire pit for you and your family to enjoy! With stunning, beach feel decor you will surely be on island time from the minute you set foot in the front door. No detail is overlooked in our home. We want you to feel like you've stepped into the perfect vacation home that will allow you to feel relaxed while surrounded by high end decor and furnishings.

Our home is a little over 3,500 square feet and offers a 2 master bedrooms with king beds, 1 bunk room with 4 single beds and one bonus room with a pull out queen sofa bed. ALL have their own PRIVATE bathrooms!

With an open floor concept, everyone can be together without being on top of one another!

If you love to cook and entertain, this kitchen is for you! Granite countertops, top of the line appliances, fully stocked with cookware and bake wear, Keurig, Ninja Blender, KitchenAid, waffle maker and so much more! Washer and dryer in home as well!

We fell in love with Sea Pines from the first visit and no doubt believe you will as well! Sea Pines Features is largest and best known of the Island's vacation destinations, this 5,000-acre resort includes the Harbour Town Links of the RBC Heritage fame, as well as Hilton Head's iconic candy-striped lighthouse. Guided horseback rides with Lawton Stables Equestrian Center take guests into the 605-acre forest preserve, while the bustling marinas at South Beach and Harbour Town offer shopping, dolphin cruises, kayak rentals and sunset dinners. Sea Pines is bordered by both the Atlantic Ocean and the Calibogue Sound, providing miles of unspoiled beachfront access.

Beautiful home

This was the perfect property for our family reunion in Hilton Head over the holidays! The house is gorgeous and the pool/spa were fun for everyone. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Stay

We had a truly relaxing week taking full advantage of all the house and community had to offer. We were two families and the house was perfect to spend time together but also for people to enjoy some quiet time. The pool was amazing and the kids spent as much time as they could in it! Tara was an excellent host and incredibly responsive to any questions we had. The house was spotless and exactly as seen in the photos. We can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful home, great for families

The pictures (while beautiful) do not do this home justice. The décor, touches, and thoughtfulness of the home are evident anywhere you look. The layout is wonderful for a family, or even two families, with children. Our 3 year old daughters loved the bunk beds, and all of the fun puzzles and games to help during any passing rain. Our family enjoyed the spa and pool - again, lots of features and thoughtful touches, beautiful deck, patio and grill. It's hard to overstate how much our family enjoyed spending the week (mid-May) here, but safe to say we will certainly be back again in the future!

Great stay!

The house was beautiful and well stocked! We appreciated access to cleaning supplies like laundry detergent and dish washing detergent. There were also plenty of pool/beach towels and beach chairs. 2.5 mile ride to the beach so we rented bikes and the ride is nice because it is mostly shaded.

Beach and Pool fun!

This house was a great spot for 2 families with kids to enjoy! The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of space for groceries. The bedrooms and baths were updated and comfortable. The back deck, pool and spa were big hits with all ages. Having access to the garage was a bonus - we kept our rental bikes in there and enjoyed the beach chairs they had available. We've stayed on Sea Pines in a couple different homes, but this one is our favorite!

Beautiful oasis

The property was absolutely beautiful! The pool was a huge hit..especially with the children. There could have been a few more amenities in the kitchen. We had to buy toilet paper and paper towels. We were told that we couldn’t get into the house until 4 pm and when we went in at that time it hadn’t been cleaned yet from the previous guests. We then had to stay outside while the cleaning crew came in to clean. Not happy about that, but not the homeowners fault. We’ve been to HH many times to visit our mother. We absolutely love the island!

Amazing Escape - July 2023

For the past couple years our family has been growing and I've been looking for a way for us to all (adults and children alike) to have wonderful vacation together. Tara and her family definitely provided us the PERFECT opportunity and we can't thank them enough. From the moment we made the decide and the first deposit...communication was amazing., whether it be responding to questions or providing additional information. As we arrived on property, everything was exactly as we expected and more. This home actually became our oasis in the heatwave of July 2023 as we enjoyed everything about this property. Our son-in-law took advantage of the work nook as he worked part time during our time away. Our grandsons (2.5 and 1 year) loved exploring and climbing the stairs. The upstairs allowed our daughter's family their privacy/space, while grandma/grandpa used the downstairs master. The entire family enjoyed the wifi and smart TVs throughout the home. But most memorable were our times outdoors...cooking out on gas grill, dining on deck, enjoying the pool/spa, or relaxing by the fire-pit. What you see in the photos is an accurate depiction of what you will experience. Our family is forever grateful to Tara and her family for sharing their home with us. Thank you for a memorable summer vacation.

Lack of communication and follow up

The home itself was not the issue. Upon arrival the garage door was off the track on the left side. Called the owner and explained the issue to her. She asked if I would take pictures and send to her, I did. Was told not to use the garage for the time being and she would call someone to fix it. Tried to get the door to close and it kept going up and down. We ended up getting it to go back on the track. Got a vm from the homeowner that she gets notifications everytime it goes up and down and she is getting a lot of them and wants us to stop using it, so we did. Went to use the grill one evening and it was out of propane. Noticed there was 2 other containers in the garage, they were both empty. Text the owner asking if they had a full one somewhere and got no response. Wanted to use the bikes and they were all locked up. Didn't bother to ask the owner because I never got a response about the garage or the propane. As for the house everything was fine. If you want to rent somewhere with no communication this is your place.

Home was beautiful and in great location for biking to the beach at Sea Pines Beach Club.

House was beautifully decorated and beds all super comfortable. Kitchen fully stocked for cooking/baking. The problem we had was the hot tub didn't heat when we attempted to heat it via the instructions sent to us. The owner did respond quickly and attempted to heat it from her location via remote. It was warm for about 15 minutes then nothing. We were looking forward to relaxing in the heat but alas. Otherwise perfect house for the 8 ladies who stayed and great room was fun for hanging out and catching up. The extra bonus room was very large and couch very comfortable. Many beach chairs/towels and wagon provided. We rented our bikes and they were delivered to the home. Super easy. Wish they had cushions on the pool lounge chairs to make more comfortable. Also some of there pavers near the pool edge have settled so it was be careful when walking along the pool towards the hot tub. Beautiful neighborhood though!

Our absolute favorite vacation!

Our family of seven, plus my parents, had the best vacation! This home is spectacular. Plenty of room for all of us! Everything was clean! The pool and hot tub were definite highlights! We paid extra to have the hot tub heated, but not the pool. The water temperature was plenty warm in the pool and refreshing during our stay (mid May). Tara was a great host. She provided so many little extras! There was laundry detergent, dishwasher, paper towels, shampoo/ conditioner, soap, etc. You'll have to bring your own condiments. We scheduled a grocery pick up before we got to the island, to cut down on shopping time. The kitchen is well stocked: keurig machine, k cups, waffle maker, blender, etc. It felt like home! The playground, not too far from the house, has a huge pirate ship playground and we saw some alligators! We ordered bikes from a nearby rental place. They were delivered to the house prior to our arrival and they picked them up after we left. Super easy and convenient! We rode the bikes down to Harbor Town every day to enjoy the sunsets, playground, food, shopping, etc. Even our little ones could handle the ride. (About 15 minutes from the house.) Between the bikes, beach, playground, and pool, we were all tuckered out at the end of each day! The house also comes with several puzzles, board games, blocks, etc. which we all enjoyed. There are also 10 beach towels available for guest use, which was great to not have to bring our own! There are some bikes in the garage that are locked up and not for guests to use, which we knew before we went. Some previous guests had left some pool floats, so our kids enjoyed those! We went to lunch at the Skull Creek Boat house. The food was great and the location/view was amazing. If you go, you'll have to get pizza from Mellow Mushroom one night too! Our only tricky complication came from me texting her from my android phone. My messages didn't go through to her Iphone. After we figured that out, we had great communication using my husband's iPhone. We can't wait to start planning another trip down to Hilton head! We definitely hope to stay in this beautiful, family friendly home in our next trip down!! It was such a beautifully decorated home. We had such a laid back and relaxing vacation. We will be back!

We loved this home! It was perfect for our family. We loved that there was 3 separate living areas so we had plenty of room to relax after a long day at the beach! The house was nicely outfitted with beach items so we did not have to bring chairs/wagons like we usually do. It was in close proximity to the Sea Pines Nature Preserve which was awesome! We rode our bikes there several times and that was a big highlight of the trip. The kids also loved being close to Lawton Farms - we would ride our bikes there in the evenings to see the horses. The private pool was also a highlight of the trip - the kids loved swimming, while my husband and I enjoyed relaxing in the adjoining hot tub. Tara was also great with communication. We have been to Hilton Head the past 3 years each year we have rented a different home but this next year we plan on coming back to this one!

We had a great experience staying in this home. It’s very spacious and beautifully decorated. It has a wonderful pool and hot tub area. Awesome stay!

We had an amazing time at your home this weekend! We had a group of 8 ladies staying for a tennis weekend. The house was clean and nicely decorated, especially well stocked with cooking supplies, the beds were comfortable, there was ample space for dining, sleeping and hanging out and we really enjoyed the pool area and spa. The house is a bit of distance from the beach, Harbor Town, etc. but we didn't mind it. We enjoyed the restaurants, beach and tennis facilities in Sea Pines and it was really easy to get around. We're already planning another trip so may be back soon!

Fabulous place

We stayed a month and This was without a doubt the best rental anywhere we have been in thirty years ! Everything was provided. Kitchen had absolutely everything you would need. all photos are accurate. It really is as good as it looks The location in Sea Pines was a really good choice with a bike bath right at the corner If you like to play golf, eat and bike Hilton Head is the place and this rental would be difficult to beat!! Owner was readily available to answer questions and provide support All in All it was a perfect place. you won’t go wrong with this rental

BEAUTIFUL HOME, SPACIOUS, AND PRIVATE

We all had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room and when cooking, I was still with the family and I could watch TV too. The dining room table was able to accommodate everyone and the one in the kitchen had the view of the beautiful deck/pool. The one thing that was confusing was obtaining the car tag so we could get in once we left. The gate "keepers" were frustrating because if we left in another car, we were having to buy another 'week' window visual. We did not know we would have to do that and it would have assisted us with planning as we left the community or to be prepared. Because it was not addressed in the information, we assumed that it was already taken care of, which was definitely not the case.

Best service we have ever had!

House was in perfect location for short golf trip. All amenities were as listed and lots of extras. Used spa which was easy to heat, very private and a great option for after dinner. Would easily book again.

When we are not parenting, we are running our family businesses! Paul owns a roofing company and Tara a Montessori Preschool.

Our first visit to Hilton Head was so magical. We instantly fell in love with the community, people and the vibe of being on "island time!" With how fast paced our life is in Green Bay it is so nice so go to our home in HHI and slow things down a little bit!

Why choose our property? Well for many reasons we just love what our home has to offer. First and foremost, the decor in the home is so beautiful. All brand new and it has perfect island feel without being too cold. The house has all hardwood floors throughout to give it that warm feel with stunning rugs right where they are needed! We pride ourselves on making this a magical home for your vacation!

The pool/spa and patio are all brand new and the perfect quiet place to relax. The palm tree lined property by the pool provides the perfect amount of shade where needed and privacy when out by the pool.

This house is on a dead end street which is one major reason we choose it. When our kids are with us they can bike on the street without heavy traffic.

Lastly our home is close to the entrance gate to Sea Pines Plantation which makes for easy access to amazing restaurants, shops and the most amazing local spots and also only 0.01 miles from the bike path!!
