Loved staying here, I only wish I could have stayed longer! Very clean, close to plenty of hiking and amenities and the coffee shop was an awesome bonus. Breakfast every morning and live music on the weekend nights was so much fun! Hosts were easy to get in touch with and had no issues during my stay. Would absolutely stay again in a heartbeat!
My wife and I had a wonderful time. The property was very nice, and we thoroughly enjoyed our (free!) daily breakfast at the cafe just downstairs. The owners/property manager were very friendly and responsive, and you can't beat the location. Thanks for everything!
We stayed here for three days. I have no complaints. The breakfast was a more limited menu than what is available on the website for the cafe, but there were plenty of good options. The food was very good, and the cafe was a nice place to have breakfast. There is a beautiful patio that is well kept with flowers and plants. It is a very relaxing place to spend some time. The cafe opens at 9 am, which is a little later than when we needed to get started on some days, but I'm glad that we got to make use of the free breakfast for part of our stay. The bed was comfortable. Everything was very clean. The cafe staff was friendly. The place was quiet and in a nice neighborhood so we had no concerns for our safety or the safety of our vehicle. The building is older so there is no built-in air conditioning, but the units that were provided did a nice job of keeping the place cool. The apartment is larger than what we expected based on the listing. There is a bedroom, a kitchen with a small table, a living room area, and a small room that has a large mirrored closet in it that was perfect for storing extra things while we were there. We had a very pleasant stay here. I would highly recommend it. There is an outside staircase that reminded us of what you might find at a ski resort that goes up the apartment. If you have issues with stairs, this may not be the place for you. Otherwise, this was a great place for a great price.
*Would we recommend: absolutely* When we come back to the Springs, I hope this is available
(Note: This was our first VRBO) I can't say enough good things. First: Property Managers: they were changed to daughter (Courtney) mid-reservation, no issues whatsoever. There were no changes to the easy reservation process. Check-in process easy. Email check-in day provided all information we needed to know. We even checked in at 8pm. There were multiple entry options in case one wasn't working-awesome. During rental process I asked several questions/emails. They were responded to same day with excellent information, including where to visit, recommendations of food,.... stuff needed for a first time visitor to Colorado Springs. The restaurant and property grounds keeper was also a wealth of information.
Apartment: Great. All as advertised and in great shape AND clean. All kitchen utensils and eating stuff were all there with enough items for four. Pots / pans,.... were all there and looked new. Information notebook was there containing various items, how to work things, nearby restaurants, food arrangements,..... All washer/dryer/refrigerator,... worked well. We did not utilize the yoga room (too old for me) but it was stocked appropriately. TV's worked well but didn't use them much. Living room was big with lots of couches. The only slight we found was the air conditioning in the kitchen. Since this is an old residence, there is no central air. The kitchen side of the unit was facing the sun most of the day and that room could become come very warm but there were multiple fans/conditioners to take care of this. NOTE, we were there for the hottest week of the summer, over 90 degrees daily. Normal average highs are around 84 degrees. Additionally, this is Colorado, no humidity which makes it much better. Shower / washer / dryer/... appeared new.
Parking: dedicated outdoor parking spot fifty feet away-nice
Location: can't be beat. Near to anything you wanted to do in the Springs including the Broadmoor, seven falls, downtown, hiking, garden of the gods, Pikes Peak (try the tram)..... Never more than 15 minutes to/from from any of these and more.
Quiet neighborhood. No issues at all.
Breakfast: daily breakfast and coffee provided form the restaurant below. Excellent. I live on coffee and a specialty shop below made my day. Coffee provided in the apartment was a good roast also.
The apartment was as stated. Clean and tidy. The living and sleeping areas were very comfortable. Outside stairs were a problem for one of our two dogs but carried it up. People with climbing stairs issues may have difficulty getting up and down the stairs. The breakfast each day was delicious.
Place was well kept and clean when we arrived. Everything was great except for the washer, which I believe doesnt drain correctly. Other than that, the place was clean, host were welcoming, and it was in a good location.
The apartment was very cozy and cute. There are a lot of steps up to it, so if you are disabled or can't handle stairs, that might be a problem. It's directly above a cafe, which is very convenient for coffee or cocktails.
There is also a nice backyard patio with pretty plants and a lot of shade for cafe patrons that you may use as well. They had a live (one-man) band one evening when we there, which was pretty cool.
Beware of the washer/dryer - they don't work so well, so don't even bother. But do try the coffee - the coffee provided in the apartment is excellent, and if you are too lazy to make your own, go order some in the cafe downstairs and enjoy it out on the patio.
Overall, cute apartment, nice area, good stay.
Very enjoyable stay, conveniently located near just about anywhere you want to go. Super convenient to have the Cafe right below you. Very good food there too as well. E-Z. highly recommend
This adorable spot exceeded my expectations. I was originally between this spot and another with a more direct view of the mountains, but decided to go with the complimentary breakfast perk, and still fairly good location.
Wow, what a joy to have stayed here. Ozurna and Natasha were lovely, the downstairs cafe is delicious, and the views from outside the apartment are incredible. Just a few minutes drive from North Cheyenne Cañon, as well as a main street in the opposite direction, youâre right next to nature with easy access to restaurants and markets.
The heaters were more than sufficient in the 20 degree weather, and the space was perfect for two. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway!
This property is as listed in every way. Its so nice having access to the great food in the cafe below. The property host are fast to respond and attentive.
The location is ideal for visiting and seeing all that Colorado Springs has to offer. So many great hikes and areas to explore just minutes from the location.
Highly recommended!
