Gaze over the crystal blue ocean of the Mendocino coastline accented by sparkling "diamonds on the water," right from the porch of our fully remodeled, historic, two-story, Victorian-style home.

With all modern amenities, this historic home was one of the original homes during the booming logging era in Mendocino County. Located in quaint Little River, CA., this 2 bedroom, 2 bath home mixes Victorian nostalgia with all-modern amenities. Maximum capacity is 4 persons. Not suitable for children under 12 years or infants. No events or gatherings that would exceed the 4 person maximum, please, and no pets. For your security and the security of our home, we have 2 exterior security cams at both entry points covering property.

We are surrounded by Van Damme State Park on 3 sides. We have total access to beach trails including a short path that leads to a secluded cove on Van Damme Bay, the Spring Ranch trail so you can take a quick walk to see the white-water of the surf crashing against the rocks, and other amazing hiking trails. You might even spot a pod of whales. If you have ever wished for an enchanted getaway, this is it.

Shop and dine in charming Mendocino, Albion, Fort Bragg, or right here in Little River. Golf, explore and enjoy. You have found a hidden gem.

We look forward to welcoming you and your loved ones to our home. You can accept the rental contract online, however, we require your signature on our quick customer service document which will be sent via email.

Lovely property - just as described in the listing. The path to the beach really is right across from the driveway, and the views of the water from the interior of the house are spectacular. We were even greeted by a family of deer shortly after check-in. Great communication with Bonnie.

Amazing House in a Perfect Setting

My wife and I stayed here for a week, and everything exceeded our expectations. The views from the balcony and patio are some of the best we have had in the area. We also enjoyed the privacy the lot provided.Bonnie was a welcoming and accommodating host, and we hope to stay here again!

Incredible property second bed is a little small and the king could use a pillow top but wonderful overall. Do not use the stairs wearing socks they were a bit slippery.

3 day getaway from San Francisco

Spotless house. Comfortable beds. Beautiful location. Ocean views. We could hear the waves from the porch. We saw the most magnificent starry sky from the balcony at night.

Amazing View

My daughter and I enjoyed everything about this spacious, well-appointed home on the Mendocino coast. It was spotlessly clean and had lovely décor, stunning artwork, and comfortable beds. My only regret is that we didn't stay there longer. The location was perfect.

Great location

This is a great house. Clean and well appointed. Comfortable bed. The views are terrific and walking paths out to the bluffs or the beach from the front door. Bring your slippers. The floors can be chilly.

Beautiful location and home

We were so happy choosing this home for a visit from my sister that lives in Iowa. She wanted to be able to see the ocean from the bedroom and this did not disappoint. We grew up with our parent that was a historian and this was right up our alley. Close to Mendocino and close to the beach. I can’t wait to come back. Two nights was not a long enough stay.

The perfect get-away spot

A friend and I stayed for a weekend, and found the house to be not only beautiful, but warm and inviting. Do pay heed to the "before you go" note, and bring slippers. The wood floors (and stairs!) can be slick in just socks. The trailhead to the beach is easy to find, and fairly accessible. Communicating with Bonnie was super easy, and she responded quickly every time. If you need a nice spot to get away for a while, this is it!

Spectacular property and view

It would be hard to rate anything poorly with a view like this home has. However, you won’t find any complaints with the property either. The home has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing and wonderful stay. The home was likely the cleanest VRBO we’ve stayed. Waking up to the ocean view from the primary bedroom was amazing. Sitting outside and hearing the roar of the ocean can’t be beat. There’s also several trails right at the property that lead to closer water views. I’d definitely recommend this residence.

Perfect getaway

This is easily the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. The house was spotless, and comfy. Everything was exactly as described and more. A perfect location for heading out to hiking, wandering or eating. Kitchen had all that we needed for the meals we prepared. We made great use of path down to the beach. Bonnie was so pleasant to work with. She even offered to ship me an item I left in the house. That was above and beyond. Couldn’t have asked for more...

Awesome!

We loved the house! Upon entering, the first thing that came to my mind was "WOW, what a steal!" Picturesque views and the proximity to town made our vacation so enjoyable! Loved the little path down to the beach, definitely wish we had done that more. Just a few downsides though. The bed wasn't that comfortable for us, but that's just a preference for a firmer bed. Also the "paperwork" was a bit much and a little annoying. Other than that, we had a very good time and highly recommend this place.

This is my dream home. I have always wanted a comfortable home in a quaint beach town with an easy walking path to the beach and this is that home. It's so beautiful and serene. I love dinner on the porch or sunning myself on the upper deck. Our family has always been ocean lovers and this is the perfect home.
