AdirondackCountryLiving cedar tiny house experience-3 min to SLU, 15 to Clarkson
Are you visiting the area for work, college visits, or visiting? Have you ever wanted to live in a tiny house? This is your chance to stay in a tiny house for an amazing experience. This tiny house can sleep 4 people with 1 bathroom. The house is on 2 acres of land, with access to a badminton and volleyball net along with yard games to keep the kids busy! The tiny house has a queen loft, 1 futon full bed, along with options to request for air mattress to accommodate more than the listing accommodations for guests.
Great for 1-2 people and just a few minutes' drive from downtown Canton. Tiny home with the works! What a great spot, I would definitely go back next time I'm in the area. Thank you!
Had an excellent, relaxing weekend away! Perfect out of town location , tho convenient short drive to colleges and restaurants . Would definitely book again!
A different experience for sure, the loft double bed for 2 where you climb âstairsâ or the camper style bed of cushions. Good thing weâre family using the bathroom and shower. Iâm glad it was only one night for a Clarkson trip. Probably wouldnât use this place again, itâs different just not for us.
Fun to stay in a tiny house though it would have been good to know that the climb up to the bed was challenging for an older person who gets up frequently in the night
Tiny Houses are tiny :) This was our first tiny house experience and served our purpose well. We were in town for our college sonâs birthday so used it as a cute place to lay our heads. As itâs pet friendly our son was happy we brought our dog. Owners were attentive and responsive.
My husband and I enjoyed our night at the tiny house! We had a nice relaxing afternoon soaking in the sun in the yard and watching the chickens (one even tried to follow me into the house when we first arrived!) and we cooked a delicious lobster dinner on the stove inside then watched some Netflix before bed. All in all it was a very nice, unique stay and we would highly recommend it!
Owner was very prompt to answer any questions. The tiny home was exactly as advertised. My wife left an item behind and the owner took the time to mail the item back to us as we live 10 hours away and wonât be back in the area for several months. Highly recommended staying her if your looking for a affordable tiny house experience
Queen bed on loft unsafe. Need to have a higher railing
Property could have been manicured more to look more inviting. The queen bed on the loft is not safe with the low railing. Very dangerous to be sleeping in that environment. I had to sleep against the wall with pillows on my right side to prevent me from rolling off the bed. Need to replace the blinds on the door. Everything else was ok.
Much too remote for myself. Located on secluded rural country road requiring driving 10 or 15 minutes back to main road. Wi-Fi would not work so no TV and futon is definitely not for sleeping on. Ideal for people wanting this seclusion, but not for me. Could not stay second night so just lost my money. After contacting owner with other concerns as well he said he was sorry but did not offer any type of refund.
rural
We can add Tiny House to our list of adventures! This was a great little place. Communication with owner was good, we had a few questions when we arrived and he responded timely. We slept sideways on the queen bed, taking advantage of both being short! It did feel a little intimidating with no rail as a previous reviewer wrote, but honestly I don't fall out of my own bed so it's all in your head b/c you are up in a loft. Bed was very comfortable. Yard well maintained, area very quiet. Our only complaint is that we ran out of toilet paper after just a few uses. Probably a simple oversight at last cleaning. We made do with some tissues that we had. Thanks Dillon!
I had a horrible experience yesterday with this rental and found it unlocked and unable to lock. I spent hours trying to contact the owner to no avail and with little support from Vrbo. I have received no confirmation of both my requested refund from my rental and the complaint I filed. I took videos and photos that showed this rental was not secure and completely unsafe and unable to stay at. I had to rent another room elsewhere last minute at 3x the cost. I received minimal support in resolving this in a timely fashion. I expect to receive a full refund (which honestly should be a reimbursement of my additional costs incurred). The owner responded in Vrbo chat overnight to finally offer assistance with no true apology or recompense and basically said I was wrong and the do not intend to refund me although I was told otherwise by Vrbo support. I would never rent from this person again and honestly am disgusted at how this was handled. I have reached out to dispute this charge.
Tiny House is exactly what it is, it was perfect for what we needed and affordable. All the hotel chains in the area are outrageously over priced all the time. This rental is perfect for a couple or single person staying a night or two. Its an all open floor space, double bed is a fotone & queen bed was up on a loft. 3 of us with a dog stayed 1 night, my 17 year old was the better option to climb up to queen bed, my husband and i stayed on the couch bed and our 50lb dog laid on his dog bed in the middle of floor, we didn't have a lot of luggage which was ideal bc "tiny" really explains it all. For it being winter i believe a few extra blankets on hand would have been something that could have been provided but since we typically travel with our own it wasn't a huge issue, minimum pillows, which again wasn't an issue for us. The available small kitchen is great if you need it. The bathroom was only separated by a curtain, a small sliding door for more privacy would be ideal but again its not a big deal if you're alone or as a couple. Very clean, great concept, and will definitely look for availability every time we travel north in the future as typically we only need a shower and a bed and typically only stay less than 14 hours in a room. So we don't like having to pay over $100 a night and you can't get that in town EVER! We're extremely thankful for the accommodations. & bonus, great yard if you have a dog traveling with you!
Everything was great at this property. Ive always wanted to stay at a tiny house. Just one thing I didn't like was the door lock didn't seem to work, or I couldn't get it to work. And if your staying in the summer I suggest bringing a fan because it gets warm in the loft bed. But everything was great and I would definitely stay again and probably will.
Great place, perfect location to come up to our daughters volleyball game at SLU, only complaint I would have if any and itâs just me because I sleep walk and there is no railing for the bed upstairs so I slept downstairs on the pullouts so I didnât fall, but is definitely a cute little place and would definitely recommend it!!!
Dillon was a very professional host who was easy to communicate with. The location worked well for us. The tiny house was nice & clean and easy to access.
