Thank you Beth. You’re right, I’ll need to do a better job of letting guests know about the trash. We don’t have a garbage service on the mountain road. I’ll change my pre-arrival information sheet so people are prepared and I’ll give guests some options. Thanks for your advice here, Glad you had fun!

I’m so sorry that Ken didn’t have a good experience. He let me know that he was leaving the day before his check out day, but that was the first time he sent anything to me. I had no indication that he was unhappy until he left. Every host hopes for the chance to make the experience right for a guest who feels it falls short. Even when I asked how we could help, Ken was unresponsive. We’ve literally had hundreds of people stay here with 5-star reviews. I honestly hope Ken finds a place he likes.

Hi Lynn! I'm glad you had fun, but I am sorry you were disappointed about the linens. We make this as visible as we can on the listing. We're not equipped to included linens for every booking without substantially raising the cost. We did a little survey work and found that most guests would rather pay less and bring their own sheets and towels. In fact, over 96% of our guests bring their own and are happy to do it to keep their booking costs lower. And for guests who need linens, I simply pass the cost along that the linen service charges me. I do apologize that you were not given Queen sheets for the queen bed. Hope you can come again some time. Brian

I am really sorry that this guest did not have a good experience. I have had hundreds of guests stay here and loved this cabin. I have several cabins on the mountain, all of them are amazing, but this is one is a guest favorite. However, more than simply a matter of preference, this review is actually not honest. The queen mattress in the loft is a luxury mattress that was a substantial upgrade. (as well as the king mattress in the master bedroom) And the floor is a beautiful laminate – not plywood. Finally, there is absolutely nothing unsturdy anywhere in this cabin. It’s actually over built. It is true that the road is a rocky mountain incline. I’m super clear about that with every guest, and I give them specific instructions and offer an SUV, free of charge, to any guest, who is uncomfortable with the road. However, I actually take my Toyota Avalon (a normal sedan) up there frequently (including this week). It’s not a fun road, but there’s nothing dangerous about it. I hope this guest finds something they like somewhere.
