Great stay!

Fabulous location with an easy walk to the beach and downtown Rockaway. The house has an amazing view, great layout, good amenities and easy parking.

The Great Escape

I booked this place in November for a get away from the election. We expected it to be rainy and cold so we wanted to be by the beach so that we could see the ocean from inside. This place has amazing views of the beach/ocean and you can even see Twin Rock from the living room windows! We were lucky and it was mostly sunny so we were able to enjoy the beach. You pretty much step outside and you're at the beach. We also took advantage of the firepit and enjoyed plenty of Smores. The kitchen also had everything we needed to cook with which isn't always the case. Looking forward to staying here again!

Incredible view

Loved the view! The beds were super comfortable and the giant bathtub was great! We brought our old dog who had some trouble with the number of steps to the front door but otherwise it was a very nice place.

July Beach Visit

Beautiful view from a roomy and comfortable home. Well equipped for our needs. Could have used coffee filters, a sponge or scrub pad and soap in the showers ( we used the antibacterial hand soap). View was truly incredible as were the sunsets! Overall - awesome and we would stay here again!

Relaxing

Great beach house with comfortable furnishings and fun outside fire pit area. We enjoyed inside and out. Easy walk around town and wonderful beach location. Only wish we could have stayed longer.

Perfect spot!

This property was awesome! I stayed here with some fellow mamas and it provided us with a serene spot to watch the waves and recharge. The open floor plan allowed us to cook and chat. It was a great location and the drive to Cannon Beach for day shopping was only about 40 mins.

Uncomfortable bed

Baseboards dirty by Kitchen garbage can. One of the beds in the room with bunk beds very uncomfortable, for an adult. Otherwise, the house was very pleasant and suitable for my family.

Best Location

PROS: The House is in a wonderful location. Quick walking into town and the views are stunning. The house is a good size for all of us to fit comfortably. There seemed to be plenty of dishes and pots pans, although the lids were not fitting all the pans. CONS: The cleanliness is not perfect, but it wasn’t horrible. One drawback is the bed linens and towels stink. They should be bleached not just washed, or use better laundry detergent, or both The bedspreads stink and they need to be washed. That’s the biggest pet peeve that we all have.

Much needed escape!

My family and I took a trip for my girlfriend’s birthday. This location allowed us to bring all three of our dogs and had plenty of space to accommodate us all without feeling cramped. The house, while a few areas could have been cleaner upon arrival, was beautifully decorated and the open floor plan in front of the windows was to die for! Waking up in the mornings and walking out to the ocean pretty much on our doorstep was a dream! The house is a corner lot next to a public opening to the beach so their is a lot of foot traffic with the windows open but if you don’t mind that it’s conveniently located near everything you could need for a perfect getaway!

Better Than You Think

This is a great beach-front property, even better than the pictures. Don't get me wrong, the pics looked great, but that open floor plan was bigger, and far more comfortable than I would have thought. Seriously, both the couches and captain's chair were very comfortable. The view is pretty amazing, even in overcast raining weather. Access to the beach is right there, and Rockaway is nestled in between a lot of fun and great places to explore from nearby restaurants, shops and outdoor adventures.

August at the beach

The location was perfect. Dealing with Vacasa was easy. The house was as expected. The cleanliness was a little lacking. There is no bannister in the stairwell.

Family friendly and welcoming

We really enjoyed this space for the proximity to the beach, the amazing views, the open kitchen and comfy couch, the great big huge bathtub, and the sand for the kids to play on right there on the property. A few notes to management- screen door needs replacing, the way in which it’s breaking makes it difficult to close and almost impossible to open from outside. Area rug in living area had a lot of dog hair and needs a better vacuuming or ditch rugs altogether. All in all, we really enjoyed this space.

Amazing Views & Ideal Beach Access

We loved our time at Spyglass Oasis. The photos/listing of this house really do not do justice to the views and beach access of this property. We enjoyed views of the waves crashing and Twin Rocks? from both inside and the lovely outside deck throughout our stay - though there is limited spacing with house next door. Short and easy stroll on a path to an uncrowded perfect wide sand beach. Made it very easy to go back and forth to eat, rest or grab needed items. Can’t say enough good things about this beach access - truly lovely!!! The house itself is quite nice. The main living area and kitchen are newly renovated. The area is fairly small and doesn’t have a large dining table where a group can eat together. Family room has two long couches that face the incredible view but no furniture facing the large screen TV. We never even turned the TV on but if you like to gather to watch movies, etc. in the evenings this could be kind of a pain. The bathrooms are not renovated and the countertops in particular were of the sort that are hard to clean which was unsettling. King size bed was not very supportive and probably not great for those with back issues. One of the downstairs beds had virtually no support and would buckle when you sat on it so our kids ended up sharing a bed, which was fine. We had a mixed experience with VACASA, the property managers. The house wasn’t very clean. It didn’t appear that the kitchen had been swept and all the bathroom counters needed to be re-cleaned as there was leaked soap and areas under the decorative items on the counter that were very dirty. The main King size bed did not have a top sheet. In terms of communication with the property manager, after we made our reservation we were looking to confirm the 24 hour waiting period between guests during COVID and experienced an extremely delayed reply to an email (a month or more?) as well as conflicting information about whether or not that policy was in effect for our property which was a little unsettling. That said, when we arrived at the property we had some lockbox confusion and some missing items that we needed and both times we called someone answered immediately and we had a local VACASA rep at the door within 10-15 minutes which we very much appreciated. VACASA Twitter also answered our answered our ?s quickly. This place allows you to easily enjoy the beauty of the beach throughout your stay. We loved it - thanks!

Wonderful house on the beach

Wonderful house on the beach with everything you need for a fun family vacation. Lots of extra beach towels, a game room for the kids, and a well stocked kitchen!

Perfect Vacation Home

This home is absolutely perfect. It has everything you need in the kitchen, games, and amazing view. It’s right on the path to the beach, and this beach spot has a huge shoreline, great for walking, plenty of room for dogs to play, and a great view of the twin rocks!
