Find yourself right on the sand at this serene, oceanfront getaway in Rockaway Beach! This home sits between the ocean and Lake Lytle and is also located less than a mile from groceries, coffee shops, quaint boutiques, and restaurants.

Spread out over two floors, this spacious, family-friendly home boasts two separate, sunlit living areas, both with comfortable seating and TVs for casual channel surfing or movie nights with the help of the media library and DVD players. You'll also find a number of puzzles, board games, and books to keep everyone entertained no matter the season.

Prepare your favorite recipes in the well-equipped, full kitchen and then dine at the table for six or the breakfast bar.

When you're up for a little friendly competition, head out to the garage for games of Ping-Pong. This home also includes a firepit in the back yard for evening gatherings and a private washer/dryer to keep your laundry under control during your stay.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Absolutely perfect!

We stayed here with our children for 4 days, and we loved it! The location was great, the views were stunning, it only took a couple minutes to walk over the stairs going down to the beach. If we didn’t have young kiddos we would have just climbed down the rocks right below the house. The house was clean and had lots of space. We mostly hung out upstairs, but there’s a great living room downstairs with a tv as well. Lots of puzzles, some dvds, (no streaming on the tvs, so the dvds were nice), the ping pong table was a lot of fun, and the kids were excited to see several kites! There was almost no wind while we were there, so we didn’t use them, but they seemed to be in great shape. We are already talking about going back next summer!

Amazing location!

This place was wonderful and I would stay again! The view is amazing and location is prime. The climb down the rocks was no big deal for my family, but there are two paths just a few houses down on each side. Beds were ok, and its cleanliness was as expected from a rental upon our arrival. Some improvements need to be made in the kitchen. There are almost too many small appliances just piled in the cupboards. The pots and pans are a health hazard in my opinion, I am glad I brought my own pan. The things you use most (can opener, cheese grater, knives, etc.) were in need of updates. The pots and pans cupboard drawers are not working and you can hardly even access them. The towels were wet even though they had been folded and put away by housekeeping, so I had to run the dryer before we could shower. Some deep cleaning is needed (crumbs behind the couch cushions along the counter in the kitchen), the garbage can outside smells atrocious, spills in the kitchen cupboards... These things aren’t that big of a deal coming from a rental, and the view, location, and layout of the house all make it worth it. I will add to another reviewer that the thorns in the back are awful and need to be addressed. That was not fun with kids. They get tracked everywhere and are painful. These sound like complaints, but I would stay here again!

Great house with a great view

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our younger kids loved the abundance of sand toys and puzzles and games available. The views and easy walk down to the beach cannot be beat. The only things that could have made things better would to be to have a bbq and a second garbage can outside for pickup. We filled the can by the time we left and it won’t be dumped for another 3 days and there is no room for the next guests to put any more trash. The dryer also took a very long time to dry. So much so that when we checked in a few minutes after 4, the cleaning person was still there just waiting for the dryer to finish.

Beach Getaway

This was a very nice place to stay right along the beach. It has beautiful views and the house is very nice/furniture and beds comfortable, and clean. The hike down the rocks to the beach is not too bad, just have to be careful and find right path of flatter rocks to step on. Beach is very nice. Kids loved to skim board and walk along the beach. The only thing I suggested was to update pots/pans as well as organize them. The area to walk to rocks around fire pit is thorny so be careful (wear shoes)! I would recommend this place if you want beach access/beautiful views.

Beach time

We had a wonderful time - the location was amazing , great views and sunsets . Quiet neighborhood . Just the right size place for our family of 4.

Beautiful view

Beach access from house is climbing down big rocks. It was doable for our group ages 7 through 72, but some could have difficulty. Beautiful views from the house and fire pit area for those that can’t climb.

Great views, great location!

We absolutely loved the location and amenities of this beach house. It was an easy walk to town and we didn’t mind climbing down the rocks to the beach, renter beware, easier beach access is about a block away. When we arrived the smoke alarms were chirping because of a low battery and we got immediate help with that, which was awesome. Unfortunately a few days later the alarms started chirping while we were away. By the time we returned and reached out to Vacasa it was the end of the work day and we got little response. I ended up being the one to climb on a kitchen stool to remove the smoke alarm myself. Normally not a difficult task except these alarms are wired in so it was tricky. We were understandably a little frustrated with the lack of help from Vacasa about the smoke alarms. Also, if you plan to cook your own food several of the pans are quite rusty and that made it more challenging. There was no teapot. We like tea so microwaving a cup at a time was not ideal. All this being said, we would still stay here again. Many positives! Just be aware when renting that it isn’t an “easy” step out onto the beach and the pans/skillets are a little gross. But if you are agile and plan to eat out a lot then this place would be perfect!

Great view!

We liked this property pretty well, with only a few exceptions: many cooking pans were dirty-I know this is because of previous renters but kinda gross. The smoke alarm decided to ‘Test’ at 6am. Other things to note: 3 outside chairs were broken upon arrival, garbage outside full-I didn’t see to call about this until I was looking about checkout, we didn’t see anything about recycling, broken fan in the bedroom,. These comments did not effect our pleasure in staying in this property. A plus I’d like to mention is the quantity of dishes, cutlery and pots/pans, and towels! Thank you for that!

Perfect Views!!

This house had amazing views and great amenities! The location was great and easy to walk to the town of Rockaway Beach! Kitchen had wide variety of seasonings and many pots, pans, and appliances. Our family of 8 was very comfortable staying there.

Awesome views

We loved the stunning ocean view from the big windows. The location right on the water was amazing. The layout of the house was great for us traveling with 2 families. We loved our time here! However, it’s hard to tell from the photos that there are large rocks between the house yard and the beach. It was fine for my husband and I to climb down, but my in laws in the their 70s had to walk to the access road a few houses down the road to walk down the stairs to the beach.

Spectacular View!

Relaxing rainy weekend!

We loved how this house was not “fussy.” We also loved how it was homey feeling and not cold and sterile/overly modern. We were not worried about knocking over knicknicks or unnecessary decor. Couches and beds were comfy and warm, towels soft, and Kitchen was well stocked with fry pans, kettles and dishes. The view was fantastic and we loved watching the waves during the very rainy weekend. Many naps were had in the electric recliner. We are from the PNW so we didn’t mind the cold rainy weekend of relaxation, puzzles, games, and wet beach walks in our rain gear. Road in front of the house does have many potholes but we loved the opportunity to puddle jump.

New Years 2024

The property and view are fantastic. The only issues TV and remotes were hard to navigate. The sinks and tubs had slow drains. Overall the property and stay was wonderful and a great way to bring in the new year.
