Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
Wrong location provided
We were attending a family reunion at June Lake. We picked a location that was located next to where all of our family was staying. Once we arrived to check in, we realized that the location they sent us to was not the location we booked. We called the emergency number and were told that they contacted me and notified me via a vm that that my location was no longer available. I informed them that the new location was too far and that their notes were inaccurate. I told them that no one contacted me. They apologized and asked if we would accept a credit and stay at the new location since they had no other vacancies at their other properties. I had no choice and accepted. Upon check out I spoke with two different people and they also apologized and said that they would make it right and provide us with a credit. It has been 2 weeks now and no one has provided a credit to us. I found it a pain that I need to keep asking them to do something that multiple people have said they would do.
The listing was accurate. The place is spacious. The kitchen is well equipped. Bring your own coffee if you are getting groceries before you check in, there were no leftovers.
The location is good. You can walk to the few bar / restaurants in town. If you are skiing, there is no place I can see in June Lake that you can walk to the slopes, but the drive is 2 minutes and parking is easy.
The place was "clean" but there was a lot of dust. Also, the carpet had several stains on it, it needs a good carpet cleaning. There is also carpet in the upstairs bathroom, which I had not seen in a rental. Suggest to replace with tile.
The biggest negative was the internet. First, they do NOT tell you the network name in the email, paperwork, or signs in the townhome. There are at least 10 networks you can see. The password is provided, but I only found what I hoped the network name was on a piece of scratch paper in the notebook with visitor info. That is easy to fix - put it on a placard and in the written instructions. Also, the internet was intermittently slow with some connection issues. Also an easy fix - upgrade the speed and get a better coverage network device. We just used our mobile network instead as a work around.
Check in / out is fairly easy, you just pull the key out of a box after hours in an office about a block away. Check out you just drop it off same place. The one email I sent was responded to quickly.
I would stay again because the price / value was good for a 2 BR/2 BA place. So, it is 4 stars for what it costs.
The photos of the property does not do justice. It was a very comfortable, pleasant and perfectly adequate property for a small family. For those who has difficult time with forced air heating, the property has two portable heaters too.
We stayed a couple of nights at this nice, cozy and well kept condo. The furniture, old board games and TV equipment were reminiscent of the sweet 90s. All facilities were available, which is what I expect when it's on the pricey side. Figuring out WiFi connection was a bit of scavenger hunt because the check-in letter said the password is on the key tag, the key tag said it's on the modem, and the modem password didn't work. I tried messaging on Vrbo app but got no response. Tried phone, which went to voice mail, then tried their cell number next day to finally get in touch with the manager. In the end I had to reset the router to get it working. Internet access wasn't critical during my stay, so it wasn't a big deal. Everything else was great.
Unit worked out for three old work buddies.
Great location for fishing the Loop and for jumping on the 395.
Kitchen well equipped, beds comfortable.
Thanks
I booked a weekend trip to the condo to attend a memorial service for my brother. I was grateful that I could find somewhere that would take the 2 day reservation. It worked well for my friend and I. We each had our own bedroom and bath. The place was very clean, check in exceptionally easy, location right in town and adjacent to diners for meals as needed. I will caution that we are elderly women and the condo is two story and above a garage which means hauling luggage up at least one flight of stairs. Bedrooms and one bath are on the second story and kitchen/common space and additional bath are on the third. This was doable for us however, if my sister (who is older than I) were to be with us she could not have done it. Consider your group while deciding this is for you. I would absolutely recommend this for most travelers. It is not handicapped accessible.
Very nice and comfortable condo. We especially enjoyed talking with Bob the deer.... Would be great for traveling guests to have the house stocked with just a few essentials -- like coffee filters and salt and pepper. Not too much, just the very basics. (the low marks in check in because when we arrived at 5pm the cleaning staff had not finished the condo...)
Housewares need to be updated. Ice trays were broken and soap in the bathrooms dried up the skin. The beds and furniture are very comfortable and clean. The view is excellent and overall stay was very enjoyable.
