It ticked all of the boxes for us: clean, comfortable, cozy, creatively decorated, and conveniently located. It is close to nearby coffee, fast food, and groceries. Would stay again if we are in the area.
This is a very nice space, way better (and cheaper) than a hotel for 2 folks who want to sleep in different rooms. Spacious, kitchen, washer and dryer, very pleasant host.
This is a gem in a neighborhood setting, close to shopping and local restaurants. We stayed here during a visit with family. Neighborhood was quiet and safe, with street parking. The unit was beautiful with lots of designer touches. We would definitely stay here again!
While planning a trip to Cincinnati for a convention at Duke Energy Center, we decided to look for a place to stay out of the downtown area. This quiet place with beautiful landscaping was twelve minutes away and was perfect for two or three people. The owner was a fabulous communicator and gave us all necessary information for check-in. The property was comfortable, tastefully decorated and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was stocked with nice towels and full-size bottles of natually-scented soaps. The kitchen was well supplied with everything you could possibly need. Air purifier and sofa throws were a bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this location! We hope to stay again.
A few minor issues and one MAJOR issue that turned a would be good experience into a bad one.
The Good:
- The decor of the unit was well done
- The location of the property was great, only a 10-15 min
drive from downtown
- Communication with the owner was good
The Not So Good, that could be easily rectified to turn this unit into a 5 star experience:
- Lack of cleanliness- there was left over trash from previous guests in the bathroom., there was trash under the bed. The bathroom was dirty and needed cleaning. A professional cleaning service would rectify this issue.
- No iron/ Ironing Board
-The issue with the front step that other visitors stated is accurate, watch your step
- The bed is only a full size bed which is too small. There is enough room to fit a Queen or King Sized bed in the bedroom
-Parking. We had to park in front of the neighbors property. Some people/neighbors could take issue with that.
-The smoke detector was missing in the bedroom
MAJOR issue which made us cut our visit short
-We already had a wariness of how easily accessible the unit was by other people not occupying the rental unit but moved past it. A neighbor unlocked the unit door, then locked it back while my wife and I were in the unit. While this was done by accident, this made my wife and I feel unsafe and we immediately contacted the owner and packed up our things and left a night early. We requested a partial refund due to this incident and have not received an answer or refund yet.
The neighbor was very apologetic about her husband unlocking the door but the damage had been done.
The space felt very private and comfortable. It was a little hard to find parking. The dishwasher was broken, which I found inconvenient. The host was very responsive and helpful.
We were meeting up with other family members and this location was perfect for us. Karen was very easy to work with and always responded to my questions immediately. The property is updated and very pleasant. The bedroom is quite large and it would be nice if there could be at least a queen sized bed in there. The only issue is getting luggage up the stairs but that only happens once so was not a big deal. Parking on the street was easy and we never had a problem finding a place.
Easy to get places from this home. It was clean and comfortable. The bed was a full size which meant sleeping wasnât easy for us since weâre used to a king size. We enjoyed our stay though.
This apartment upstairs in a storybook Tudor house was beautifully remodeled. It had everything we needed including laundry. I did not know enough about Cincinnati to understand that this was pretty far from the city center but still very much felt like a city neighborhood. I did not care for parking on the street, although I did know that was required in advance. The street was nice but the neighborhood in general was iffy in spots. Otherwise, this was a lovely place to stay and the owner was communicative and nice.
Adorable, well-appointed apartment! Cozy and on a quiet street. The bed is rather small but there are two mattresses and one can be pulled onto the floor for extra room for sleeping.
We had a lovely weekend in Cincinnati thanks to this sweet little hideaway!
We had a wonderful time! A friend and I met for the weekend in Cincinnati, and Karen's place was perfect for us! She was a wonderful host, the vrbo was adorable, and everything was great and comfortable and perfect for us. We especially loved the outdoor area. There was plenty of street parking. There wasn't a ton that was in easy walking distance, but Cincinnati seems like a city that's fairly easy to drive in, and since the parking wasn't an issue it really wasn't a problem at all. Karen also had a list of recommended restaurants, and we tried two of them and they were great. Overall I would highly recommend this!
We loved Cincinnati the Zoo,King's Island the fireworks in the City. The Ark in Kentucky was about 45 mins away from where we were staying. The place we stayed was in a quiet neighborhood. Very nice comfortable place to come back to from our time out Adventuring in the City. The place was decorated very nice the beds were comfortable also. Just like the pictures shows in the listing. The home owner was very nice also easy to work with. I wish Karen the best in All she does in the future.
Hi, I'm Karen. I love the Arts, outdoors and good food. You'll find plenty of that and more in Cincinnati! I've lived here most of my life but go back to Clearwater, FL where I was born for vacation. You're sure to find plenty to do! Apartment is second floor of my home and there is a dedicated outdoor space for use.
This house was built in 1932. My daughter lived upstairs for years and two of my grandchildren were born while she and her husband lived here. Now that they have a house of their own, I decided to renovate the upstairs - making it the something I would enjoy myself. I started short term rentals so I could afford to maintain the property and use the space as master bedroom and entertainment room 6 months of the year (October to March). I hope you enjoy your stay and will certainly do what I can to accommodate. Thanks!
