We had the best time. House was great with plenty of space and all amenities included. The dock was perfect for swimming and fishing. All our kids loved the kayak and paddle board. We would definitely return.
Very cute home. Right on the lake. Comfortable beds. Nice living room. The downstairs area was really cute and the bathroom was very nice. I would ask that there be extra blankets available, I needed to take the ones off the bunk beds and take up stairs. Thanks for having us!!
The home was very clean, very well laid out, and loved the location! We enjoyed the kayak, paddle board and fishing off the dock! Will definitely rent again if we come come back to Hot Springs!
It was a very peaceful stay. The property was great for the 6 of us. Our teenagers stayed downstairs in the bunk beds and the adults stayed in the two rooms upstairs. The patio and the dock were perfect. We shared meals outside and enjoyed the sunshine. Our girls loved paddle boarding and kayaking. It was still close to Hot Springs restaurants and shopping. Our hosts were very prompt in answering any questions. We would stay here again if in the area.
The basement for kids to sleep in didn't appeal to me, with a direct door to the outside which did not seem secure. I would recommend a different stay because of the price. Overly priced for the look.
Sad to see this house up for sale because itâs the perfect little getaway. Would love to come back one day. If you want the best spot on a calm lake, this is it. Plenty of beds, great views and close to everything. Loved it.
This was a 4 sibling sisters' trip. We do this once a year at various locations and we really enjoyed our stay at this cute little lake house. It was clean and comfortable. We would recommend this rental to others.
We had a wonderful stay at your place! Check in and out was easy, the house is beautifully decorated and clean and the location was perfect on Lake Hamilton to swim off the dock in the quiet cove with the kids and boat around the lake. Weâll be back!
Came for a weekend getaway with husband and 2 kids (8 and 10). House had everything we needed. Location to downtown Hot Springs was perfect, only 15min. The cove was nice and quiet. We even saw deer several times eating the acorns. There was a paddle board and kayak for use. Nice touch for fan lovers, they had box fans in the closets!
My family had a great time staying at this property. The house will clean, well stocked with everything we needed and in a quiet neighborhood. We loved that the house was on the lake and had a dock where you could sit and relax. Great communication from the property owners as well.
My kids and I loved staying here and exploring the area. There was plenty of room to spread out in the house, and the lake views were gorgeous to wake up to. We took out the kayak and paddle board and I appreciated the quiet little cove - perfect for kids. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend this cute little house to my friends.
Everything was fine far as. Stores close by for last minute shopping, everything was stocked as we needed. Only thing was that the sink in the kitchen had a hard time draining. Other than that everything was good. And we really enjoyed the fishing
Clean, nice, the dock and the water were nice for swimming and paddle boating. Dock has one bad board by the ladder. Overall very nice. Would stay again and would highly recommend.
Love at first sight! We came with our three children ages 3, 4 & 10 and were amazed with the house and lake front dock. The finished basement with spiral staircase was the kids favorite area. Property is just close enough to town to be there in minutes. Beautiful views from every window in the house loved the porch views of the lake cove. Kids loved fishing from the dock and lounging on the outdoor furniture. The weather was beautiful during our stay but the a/c in the house was fabulous and all TVs and appliances were top of the line. Beds comfortable and just an all round lovely feel to the property. We give it a 10 out of 10 and would go back anytime. There is plenty to do in Hot Springs but the kids just wanted to go back to the âvacation houseâ and we did too.
Iâm giving this a slightly higher rating than I usually would because Iâm assuming most of my issues were because the house was closed up for the winter. There was a bad odor in the house when we arrived. We did go to Walmart to buy air fresheners, and that seemed to help a little bit. Everything could just use a good deep cleaning (filthy windows, bugs in light fixtures, food crumbs in drawers, dirty walls, shower curtain appeared moldy, etc) and maybe a new coat of paint (again, maybe this is because it was closed up for the winter?).
Now for the good stuff - The location is great. Short drive to downtown, 35 minute drive to Ron Coleman Mining, and a little over an hour to Crater or Diamonds State Park. We enjoyed the dock. There were a lot of fish jumping while we were there. They did a nice job on the basement bathroom (We all used that shower versus the upstairs one).
Location was great BUT we had to change the sheets on our bed because they were dirty with lint and hair. Everything else was clean. The beds have no box springs, just a mattress on a frame. The dock over looking the water feels like it is going to fall-through at any time so we stayed on the porch most of the trip. The right railing for the porch is super loose and needs to be fixed. The kayak doesnât have a seat which makes it hard to impossible to navigate. We used our own batteries in the remote control because we couldnât find any others. The downstairs basement was not super welcoming. I wouldnât want to put kids down there with an exterior door. The upstairs tub needs to be resurfaced or, at minimum, a non-slip mat should be put down. Overall, it was clean but most of the house was an afterthought or a DIY project thrown up for insurance purposes.
Online photos did represent the furnishings and carefully curated bookshelf and coffee bar. We found a broken ironing board, dirty linens on the bed, stains on pillows and mattress, clothes dryer vent THICK with lint. Tree limbs and debris from a recent storm covered the patio. I contacted the owner when we arrived. He said someone would come clear the debris...no one came. No window treatments in the living/dining area. No ice maker in the freezer and no ice trays available. The property is FOR SALE. Our view from the living area to the lake included a tattered for sale sign on the back deck, facing the living area. Overall, NOT a relaxing time at the lake.
