Unité A-19: Bienvenue à Surf Shack. Situé au coin des rues Strand et Breakwater, le sable est à 10 secondes à pied du patio arrière!

Confortablement aménagé, ce condo de 2 chambres à coucher / 2 salles de bain est situé au rez-de-chaussée et a été rénové en décembre 2016. La majeure partie du mur entre le couloir d'entrée et la cuisine a été retirée, créant ainsi un espace de travail agréable et ouvert dans la cuisine. L'ensemble du condo comprend des comptoirs en granit et une nouvelle porcelaine, des carreaux de planches, pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 6 personnes. La suite principale dispose d'un nouveau lit king size Opulence Plush (31/08/15) et d'une vanité et d'une salle de bains privatives attenantes. La deuxième chambre a deux lits doubles, avec salle de bain couloir. Le salon a une cheminée, TV câblée / lecteur DVD, chaîne stéréo et grand canapé-lit. Chaque chambre dispose d'une télévision par câble à écran plat et une connexion haut débit à Internet sans fil est fournie gratuitement. Cuisine entièrement fonctionnelle, draps, serviettes, équipement de plage et portacrib sont fournis pour votre usage. Profitez d'une vue magnifique sur l'océan depuis le salon, la chambre principale et le patio arrière. Un barbecue au propane est fourni sur le patio arrière pour votre usage. Ce condo a des ventilateurs de plafond dans la salle à manger et les deux chambres.

** S'il vous plaît noter: Ceci est un condo grande maison de vacances avec un accès facile au sable. L'intérieur et l'ameublement sont beaux. Ce condo est situé au coin des rues Strand et Breakwater. Il y aura beaucoup de circulation dans le condo, surtout en été, donc les tarifs de location de ce condo ont été réduits.

We've rented from "On-the-Sand" before and we love North Coast Village! We've rented condos five times here and we keep coming back. One of our favorite condos is A19. We feel that the Surf Shack is our home away from home. Love, love, love it!

Great Condo and Location

This condo is fantastic! The location was great (you see the view of the bathroom in the photos...but you can't beat being this close to the beach)! The condo was more spacious than it looked the pictures and well stocked. The beds were comfortable and the condo clean. We've stayed in several NCV units and would definitely rent this one again.

Best atmosphere, location and views

This ground level corner home is the best. It has so much going on with all of the people and beach activities right across the street. You can be in your own place but still be right in the middle of it all. I love people watching! The pier and the harbor are so convenient and so much fun. We can't wait to stay again next year!

Perfect!

Just steps from the beach! We couldn’t have been happier! We had a great time and the kids got as much beach time in as possible. Thank you for having beach/water toys available. The kids loved them. We had everything we needed and then some. Both the harbor and pier are within walking distance with great restaurants. We hope to come back again! Thank you for sharing your little oasis with us!

Even nicer in person

This condo was even nicer than the pictures. We thought it might be the nicest location in the whole complex too! Check-in was easy. I appreciated the text from the management letting me know how to get a hold of them. Walking out the patio to the beach was amazing! Being right on The Strand was fun (despite the occasional car or bike driving by with loud music-- all part of the experience!) Views from the master bedroom were so nice. Loved the layout of the apartment. The complex was so beautiful, but hard to navigate, but we figured it out in a day or two.

Beach vacation

We stayed for one week with two boys. Excellent location for getting to the beach, but it is a very busy area and can be noisy at times with traffic and beach goers. The condo itself had everything we needed. The only things we did not like: no washer and dryer in the unit and the parking situation. The listing said that the property has laundry rooms that accept quarters. They do have laundry rooms but they are difficult to find. They also do not accept quarters and the process to purchase the card, add funds to the card and then start the machines using the card was difficult to figure out. The parking situation was a pain only because they are such tight spaces (and we have a smaller sedan) but at least we had a place to park. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay.

Loved the stay, except for all the rules

We loved the condo, we could have coffee in the morning and watch the surfers! It was great. My only complaints were all their rules they expected us to comply with, but they didn't leave equipment, such as the BBQ grill that was so old it wouldn't even light, but boy we better not leave it dirty. It was filthy to begin with. My husband fixed the screen on the patio door, my daughter fixed the ice maker in the freezer. The door to the Condo looks horrible but they are so worried about what you put down the garbage disposal - either fix it or say it doesn't work at all. Location wise, you couldn't beat it. Finding the security office to check in after dark - almost impossible.

Good, affordable home base on the beach

The Surf Shack had everything our family of four needed. We used it as a jump off spot for a week of adventures and as access to the beach. We especially enjoyed our morning walks on the beach with coffee. We also enjoyed the short walk to downtown Oceanside for dinner and to catch the Coaster train for trips to the San Diego Zoo and harbor. The condo was well appointed (complete with boogie boards and sand toys). The complex is well-run and we enjoyed our conversations with residents and guests at the pool and hot tub. We used the laundry room, which was clean and cared for. The gated, bottom-level parking was nice too. Max height is 6' 6", so if you have a car-top box, you might have to take it off and stash it somewhere. The unit is right on The Strand (one-way beachfront street) so you get the occasional car rolling by with loud music -- but mostly that added to the feeling of being down where the action is. The Strand is super popular for strolling and biking, and it seemed everyone who passed by smiled and said hello, as if to say "how cool is this!". We had a blast and plan to return.

Loved the view

There was a few things upon arrival that needed fixed (screen for sliding door and blinds) as soon as I message they had some one out same day to fix the screen. It was completely stocked with everything you needed. It was great. Will stay again.

Great place

Really enjoyed our stay. North coast village is great, although we were not able to use the spas or gym due to the pandemic. I e loved that we could step right out the balcony practically onto the sand. The bathrooms across the road blocked what could be a wonderful view and it was kind of a bummer having to take everything off the patio at night to avoid theft. But all I’m all we had a great stay, none of these things were a deal breaker (even the ants) and we would gladly stay again.

Great condo - bad location

The interior of the condo was spacious, clean and very well appointed. There were service vehicles driving by constantly, and since the condo is on a corner of the ground floor, the vehicles stopped in front at the stop sign. The public bathroom (pictured) was so busy, and much closer than it appears. Overall, it was noisy, and when sitting outside, there was NO privacy. I wouldn't stay there again.

We understand that the location of this condo is not the most private and we try to let everyone know by including in the description that this condo is located on the corner of The Strand and Breakwater Way and that there will be a good amount of traffic going by the condo, especially in the summer, so rental rates for this condo have been lowered. Although this location was not for you, we manage 50 other units in North Coast Village and hope you'll stay with us again.
