The house was a little dated but that is evident in the pictures. Location is great for going to the beach and a relaxing trip. Zero issues with check in and out so no communication with the host or management company was needed. The issue with this property was the house. It had just an overall unclean feeling. Stains in all the carpets and chairs. In my younger years this would not have fazed me at all. Lastly there was a smell that was noticeable throught the house. It wasnt overpowering to me but my partner had a rough time with it, so if you have a sensitive nose dont stay here.

Neskowin South Beach Retreat!

I so enjoyed this home. I love the open layout for cooking, dining and hanging out. I spent time examining the wall-sized world map. Enjoyed close access to the beach, and could hear the waves at night.

Lovely location. Clear overview from host. Plenty of space. Very close to beach. Clean and comfy. Never quite figured out how to use the gate code (is there another button to press? Something else? No clear instructions.)Plenty of old, wearing down features, like a rusty doorknob, creaky deadbolt, bent window screens. 5 stars because I didn't care about that kind of thing, but there's an aura of not quite keeping things up-to-date. Would have loved a welcome binder with info about gate, beach access, local activities ..., instead of a 6-year-old Tillamook magazine and a tsunami evacuation map for a different part of the coast. So: room for little improvements, overall spectacular stay.

New to Neskowin

We had a great time. We have rented many vacation rentals and most of them are not nearly as well stocked as this one. We way over packed. It was great having so many essentials supplied with the rental. The baby gate was a great surprise, considering that we have little ones and the stairs could be dangerous. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful with beach access about 1 minute away. Pros: Well stocked, easy beach access, peaceful community, pool table, movies, lots of board games. Cons: No T.V. downstairs & other than the baby gate, nothing is child proof. We had a great time and will be back.

Relaxing Beach House—perfect for family of six

-Beach access is so close (so nice with a three year old)-Ping pong and pool are super fun in between beach time-Kitchen was well stocked-Smart TV made for an easy movie nightThe house wasn’t necessarily full of shiny frills, but it is cozy, warm, and clean with everything we needed.

Run down home close to beach

This house hasn’t been updated since the 70s. There are holes in the walls, old stained carpets, outlets don’t work, toilet ran, shower head leaked. None of this was mentioned in the description. I felt a little bit misled. Great location.

4th Year In A Row!!!!

Love, Love, Love this home!!! Spacious, cozy, tons of fun activities available in the house, comfortable, so clean, well-stocked, steps from the beach, safe neighborhood, easy access to Lincoln City, Amazing beach (Neskowin Beach), great communication with Vacasa, reliable. This was our 4th year in a row staying at this home & every year is FANTASTIC!!! Thank you!!!!

Quiet Getaway

The house could easily accommodate the 4 of us plus more comfortably which was great after coming back from the private beach. That's my favorite part of this house, the beach access! The house is located in a gated community that shares access to a private beach. It's got access to proposal rock and tide pools to explore.

Return Trip Good, but not great

This was the second time renting this house. The location is fantastic. Easy beach access. However, there were definitely signs of wear tear throughout the house: upstairs bathtub would not drain and bath faucet detached at one point, a number of electrical outlets did not work, and multiple holes near doors where knobs apparently struck the wall. Overall, nothing was a deal breaker and we would stay here again. Thanks!

Roomy and near beach

Pros: Right next to the beach -- just a few minutes walk. Roomy. Would be good for kids/family; with the pool room, bedroom, and one bathroom on the bottom floor, and everything else on the top floor, you get space and privacy. Open kitchen with almost everything you need -- though another frying pan would be great :) In a private neighbor, so very quiet and peaceful. Cons (or really, things that were just not the best): Definitely an old house. Carpets were a little yuck. Most blankets and bedding were old and scratchy. Washing machine and washer didn't work during our stay (didn't realize till 3rd to last day, and it didn't get fixed while we were there), which was unfortunate. They and most other appliances were all pretty old. Not the house's fault but: the side of the beach you can access from this neighborhood is cut off from the rest of the beach by a creek that's a few feet deep, even during low tide. You have to walk (~20 mins) or drive to access the rest of the beach, including access to Proposal Rock (or wade, but it's too cold for that right now :) ). This is a good place for the price and location!! Just like...if you're looking for something fancier, this isn't it. Definitely good for people with kids or a larger group that doesn't care about amenities.

Nice getaway

We enjoyed our stay in Neskowin. Nice little town. The beach was beautiful and not crowded. The house was comfortable for all. It was nice to have rooms both upstairs and downstairs. We also enjoyed all of the games, movies and ping pong table. We did have a little problem but one call to the property manager and everything was fixed quickly. I definitely recommend this place!!

Wonderful home!

This home was spacious, clean, and cozy! I loved how close to the beach access it is and how it’s tucked into its own little space! Most definitely going to come back, and I can’t wait!!

quaint 70 style house

the carpets were stained and smelled of pet urine. every dinner plate in the cupboard except 2 were filthy and we had to wash before we could use them. the bedroom next to the bathroom smelled of pet urine. Table surfaces were sticky.

Great Home, Great Location & Can’t wait to go back!!!

This was such a great house for my first ever Girls trip with my daughters & their friends. So much to do, very clean, well stocked, lots of places to crash, comfortable environment, open with lots of windows & a super short walk (2 houses down across the street) to access the beach. Such an Amazing vacation filled with AWESOME MEMORIES!!! Thank you!!!

Nice house

The house is fine. It’s comfortable & clean. The only problem we had was that animals got into the garbage outside on the first night and spread it all over the driveway, & it didn’t get cleaned up until sometime the following day, even though I had called about it on the morning of the day we found it. Maybe the prior tenants had not adequately closed the garbage cans. Otherwise it was fine.

Great location, okay accommodations

The location is amazing; a short walk to the beach. Makes early morning walks to look for sand dollars or late night fires on the beach very convenient. Everything in the home functions well. The place is just musty and sort of run down. We've stayed here before and it looked like they had replaced some windows and done a few upgrades, but it feels a bit dated and has a musty smell that gets better with opening the windows, but never really leaves. We would stay here again, with eyes wide open to the place not being as nice as some more updated options.
