Family Vacation 2023

Location was great, short walk to the beach, easy access to one of 3 pools. Overall the facility had everything we needed. Cleaniness was poor. Floors were sandy, walls and cabinest are a bit grimey. The inside would benefit greatly from a fresh coat of paint.

The condo was very clean and spacious. However, it did have a musty scent. We had the front door and the balcony open for a while to air it out. After that, it was fine. The the major problem we experienced was that the front door did not lock. We called the 1-800 number we were given & they tried to walk through troubleshooting on the door keypad, but nothing worked. We had to take our valuables with us when we went out.

Nice, But Could Have Been a Bit Cleaner

The location was close to the beach, but it was on the north edge of town, away from most other things, like a decent grocery store. Nonetheless, it was a safe, gated neighborhood, where it was unlikely that we would run into drunken revelers. One thing that was disappointing was the cleanliness. Even on the first day, since we go shoeless indoors, we noticed the bottoms of our white socks were turning brown. This was before we had been to the beach and had a chance to track in any dirt or sand of our own. (We ended up sweeping and mopping the tile floors ourselves.) There was no mat by the front door to prevent tracking sand into the condo, so we had to spend more time cleaning than we should have. The tile floors had a lot of dark spots that could have been removed with a steam cleaner. Also, the upholstered furniture and chairs had a few food stains that need to be cleaned. The air vents, especially the one feeding air to the furnace had some grime that should be cleaned off. The carpet on the spiral staircase was frayed at several of the edges and needs to be trimmed. The water heater was outside and two floors below, so we always had to run the shower for 3-4 minutes before the water was warm enough to use. Most of us thought the beds were too soft and the pillows were a bit too flat. The refrigerator and range seemed fairly new. The dishwasher was not properly secured, and every time we opened it, it seemed like it was going to tip over. Some of the non-stick cookware was very worn and should be replaced. I was a little surprised that literally everything edible had been removed from the kitchen before we arrived. We even had to buy salt and pepper shakers. Although the kitchen had a coffee maker, there were no coffee filters. Perhaps everything had been removed as an anti-COVID measure, but it seemed a bit over-zealous. When we have rented similar properties, there usually was a ring binder that had various instructions. Not so for this property. Although there were abundant TV programming sources, it took a lot of trial and error to get the cable box to turn on without turning off the TV. The remote for the TV in the upstairs bedroom was missing its batteries. The internet speed was very good, though. Although there were two small balconies, there was only one vinyl chair to allow us to make use of them. The pool and hot tub areas seemed very nice, but we were there a little too early in the season to enjoy them.

Do not waste your money on this Villa!

I have previously stayed in the tower for many years and this place was the dirtiest, most outdated and roach infested. I will not be back.... the actual villa looked nothing like the pictures. The stairs were dirty and did not get swept the whole week we were there. Unacceptable to see dirty Q-tips on stairs. Many electrical outlets were not functional and could be unsafe to use. Villa needs to be cleaned and updated.

This condo was clean plenty of room it has everything you need in the kitchen it had a washer and dryer which helped a lot with the beach towels. The mattress were a little uncomfortable need to be updated But over all we enjoyed it

Summer 2021

You’re basically paying for the amenities and location. The apartment itself is not worth your money. Dinning table is for 6 people but only has 4 chairs. we rented the place for a family of 6 so family dinner/breakfast weren’t possible and it was kind of frustrating to even try to play table games with the family. Living room- the couch is okay. Tv/internet- internet is slow. We struggled watching Netflix or the Olympics. Keep this in mind if your plan to work from home. You may want to consider taking your own router. Bedrooms- So so so outdated with just the basic things you need. It looks like they furnished it just enough to be able to list the property for rent. Take your own pillows and blankets. Kitchen- fridge and stove work fine. Everything else is super outdated. Coffee pot is old and the blender doesn’t work. Didn’t use the dishwasher. We didn’t get trash bags. Had to go buy toiletries including toilet paper bc there was only one in each restroom even though our stay was for 5 days. Balcony: no patio furniture. The place has three balconies But no outdoor furniture to be able to be outside. Amenities: gym is no longer available. It’s only for people who are staying at the tower. Bbq pits: only available to rent. The condo doesn’t have its own so maybe take a small one if you can. Overall, if there’s another apartment in the area I would consider that first before staying here. The condos are peaceful during the week and having direct access to the beach is probably the best part about this place.

Fun and convenient

Pros: Condo was cute and convenient to the beach. Plenty of beds and bathrooms made sure everyone in our group was comfortable. The inside was clean and had great air conditioning. Cons: the dryer was small and inefficient. The air conditioning was so efficient that it was downright freezing at times. The wooden stairway outside was filthy and looked like spring-breakers partied all over it. Garbage bags were left outside in the parking lot. The cost of renting this condo was a little high compared with the quality of the bedding, the furniture and even the cheap toilet paper. Otherwise, the complex felt secure with the gate and bracelet system. The security guards were friendly and polite. The two pools on the property were clean and attractive. All in all, this condo met our needs and more. We would consider returning.

Needs updating but Vacasa team was helpful

Property is overall clean but needs renovation. We ended up switching our stay thanks to the Vacasa management for assisting. But just wasn’t what we expected especially for the cost. Outdated overall and repairs would go a long way for this condo. We do love the location and have stayed at Solare before with positive experiences. Just didn’t work for us.

Vacation

The first impression was not a good one for me. The stairs had something spilled on them and was dirty. The bar stools were stained and the carpet going upstairs was ragged.

Family vacation

We decided to take a last minute trip to SPI and found this property on VRBO . We left Dallas late around 2 pm and were afraid of arriving at SPI late which we did 11 pm the 24 hour security station made it easy and convenient to check in on our own time. The condo was so big and spacious and nice . It was myself my husband our 3 kids and his parents and a nephew . We all plenty of room to sleep. The room we slept in didn’t have a remote for the roku but I downloaded the app and was able to use it . No rude neighbors everyone was friendly !

Great stay, but furniture need repairs

My family and I had a great stay. Nevertheless, dining chairs were broken when one of tge teens (100lbs) had a sit for dinner, she almost fell because chair legs were broken. Very dangerous that needs to be fixed asap. Also, I recommend to provide coffee filters, specially for short term vacation clients. Other than that everything was clean and beautiful area.

Solare Garden Villa 977

excellent weekend at Solare Garden Villa 977 the weather was perfect which we were able to enjoy the swimming pools, the tennis courts and the beach!!! the room was up to date and to our expectations, nothing major to put negative other than the AC unit is to cold in the lower rooms. definitely recommend it!! had a party of ten both days!!!!

Pictures are deceiving

The pictures used for this listing are deceiving. One room the head board is unstable and broken, the top floor there was a board broken on a bed and couldn’t use it, the grill is ridiculously rusted and unusable, the floor had stains all on it near the kitchen and stairs that makes it look like it’s not been mopped in years, the beds are all old mattresses that squeak all night, there’s no beach equipment, there was no broom to sweep and try to keep clean, I had to go out and buy one, the stairs has cheap industrial carpet from the 80s and looks gross, the patio furniture is one cheap plastic chair, the sofa had stains and gross, one room the TV didn’t work, will never stay here again! The restrooms were updated and that was it.

4 day stay

Good I would tell people to stay their checking in took way to long they sent me an email to let me know it was ready early but the staff at the gate wouldn’t let us in even after showing them my email then they said I need to get the keys for the room I tried telling them it was push button for digit code until another staff member came and cleared it up renting the villa was easy and stress free thanks
