This property was perfect for my family and I. The location was great (right on the beach) and the neighborhood was quiet. The property itself was clean and well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. We will be back in the future!
This home has the best views and acess to the beach. It has a private boardwalk, so even though people walk from homes further back, you are pretty much guaranteed space right in front of the property to enjoy. The house is well appointed and the living area is bigger than it looks in pictures. The mattresses were so comfortable, probably the best I've ever had with a rental. We had one minor maintenance issue, and someone came out to fix it immediately. One thing to note, online it said this unit has a gas grill, but it actually has charcoal. Not a big deal for us, but the listing needs to be updated. I highly recommend this home. You won't be disappointed!
We had the most amazing beach vacation in this home. Waking up and being able to walk right down the deck on to the sand was incredible! The house is beautiful and has incredible sunset views. Our only request would be better beach gear as there were only 3 chairs and 1 was broken.
We enjoyed our stay this week. Quick trip. Home is well equipped for a beach stay. Only miss is a Keurig for coffee drinkers. Love the crushed ice maker!
This was our 2nd time in this home and we absolutely love it. Itâs spacious for a family of 5. The kids loved their bunk beds. The location is awesome to the Trading Post, which has just about everything you could need. The homeowners did some kitchen upgrades which is really nice and a huge improvement from before. We look forward to booking this house next year and making this a family tradition!
Ice maker!! We never bought an ice cube while we were here! Fishing was great! The location on the beach was ideal, the views out the front window and decks were amazing! It was an awesome stay!
Easy walk to Trading Post and St. Joe Shrimp. But Vacasa did not respond to text I sent about issues with the house- no propane for the grill, no hangers in the closets, broken sliding glass doors, and burned out lights.
We have stayed at Dreamsicle 2 years in a row now and we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Hopefully we will be able to rent it again next year.
The house needs a lot of work.
The decks are very nice but, not an alternative during rain. It would be nice to see the main deck ceiling fixed with a drainage ceiling.
We arrived a little early and the house was clean and ready.
Can't wait til next year!
Coackroaches! Mold, Windows leaking
Very little hot water in master bedroom
Couldn't use the main Sliding door to the deck. No outdoor seating on upper deck. You can see where they are making a few improvements. The outside needs painted so bad it sticks out like the slum house...I could go on but you get the point.
Perfect Location. Could use minor repairs and upgrades.
The location of this home is perfect! Steps to the beach. This home could use some minor updates/fixes. The toilet paper holders were all broken off the walls. Many of the screens had holes/tears in them. The dishwasher seemed very old & did not clean the dishes well. The microwave is very small. And the shower in the master bathroom is one of the smallest I have ever seen, as there wasnât even hardly room to turn around or bend down if you happened to drop anything. Of course none of these things were a deal breaker for us, as they were all minor in my opinion. And again, the location of this home is absolutely perfect! We had a great time!
We loved the house and its location. It was right on the beach with easy access. There were people on both sides of us each day on the beach, but it wasnât overcrowded. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly and had good beach etiquette (i.e. not blasting music or smoking close by).
The sand was clear from heavy seaweed and the water was very clear. However, like all beaches, this could change with a bad storm, or some other uncontrollable event.
The beds and living room furniture was very comfortable. Kitchen was well appointed, and the cabinets were all in good condition. The icemaker was a very nice bonus.
Its proximity to the General Store was nice. You can get a good deal of basic supplies there including beer, wine, and liquor. We got pizza from the Shell station general store (not the one right by the house) and it was excellent! Got the thin crust and it was fine when we got it home. We did have to drive down there to order it though, but it only took 20 minutes.
Lots of good food in Port St. Joe. Sisters was our favorite. I highly recommend the filet, and it may have been the best one Iâve ever had. 3 of the 4 of us got it (based on one of our group getting it last year), and all 3 were perfect! You wouldnât really expect it, as it doesnât look like a steak house. All our food was very good. Great breakfast too.
A word of advice if spending any time on the deck at night⊠get some good no-see-um repellent. They ate me alive one night
The chairs and table on the deck were great and all high enough you could see over the rail. Sitting in low chairs and staring at the rail is the worst.
Overall, if the price is reasonable next year, we would book again
We were EXTREMELY disappointed. The house is fine, but one of the reasons that I chose Dreamsicle in Cape San Blas for our 43rd anniversary is that it has direct private access to the beach. However, due to the ongoing beach restoration project, our access was cut off beginning on our second day. The beach was closed while excavators and bulldozers built new sand dunes and worked to extend the beach out into the Gulf. A dredger was working offshore to pump sand onto the beach and all of this work continued around the clock. Not only was our beach access blocked for the remainder of our stay, but also the noise of heavy equipment and the incredibly bright work lights kept us awake at night. The only way we could enjoy the beach was to get in our car and drive to a spot with public access. That defeated the purpose of coming to this property in the first place.
If there was any damage to the property from Hurricane Michael, it wasn't evident. The house itself wasin good condition, but I canât understand why you didnât inform us about the reclamation work and let us know that it might possibly impact our access to the beach. I certainly wouldnât have selected this property if Iâd known that it was a possibility. This project began months ago, so thereâs no reason why you or the property owners didnât make an effort to inform prospective renters.
My husband and I were incredibly pleased with this house. It was our first time to visit and stay in this area of Florida. The house had everything we needed. We loved the multiple decks, covered and open. We will be back to this house!
The home itself needs some work. Furniture was dirty, dishwasher did not clean dishes well, dead bugs throughout the house (glad they were dead, but it was still startling). Outdoor furniture was not great either. The location relative to the beach and shopping were perfect. I would stay here again, if the owners could improve these things.
Location was fantastic! The beach, sunsets, home, were all wonderful. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed for the week.
Our only complaint was that the screens on the doors were broken. It wasnât really a problem because they sent over someone to fix it the next day.
We had an absolutely perfect week. Just sad we had to leave.
Perfect beach, perfect location, clean interior, no funky smells
Property was clean, the location was perfect, the beach was quiet, and the house had everything we needed. Convenience store & ice cream shop was within walking distance. Nice covered & uncovered deck. The outside of the house was dirty but as long as the interior was clean (which it was) we didn't care.
