We had a wonderful stay in this little cottage! It was very comfy and cozy and well stocked. We slept like a baby in the comfortable beds! The surrounding land and views were gorgeous and serene, perfect for a day in peaceful Hana! Our house were very attentive and responsive.
We were so lucky this lovely little house was available. My mom and I were visiting my brother in Hana, so it was just the right size for us, and perfectly suited our needs with space to visit, cook together and cool off on the lanai. I liked that there were lots of windows you could leave open to keep things cool. At night, it is profoundly quiet, with only the occasional vehicle on the Hana Hwy and our nightly rain shower. As far as the place, it has everything you need and is close enough to Hana Town to reach anywhere in 5-10 minutes. There is covered parking as well. We had a hard time finding the place, but it was because of flight delays and other things out of our control that lead us to arrive long after dark. If you are thinking of staying here, know that the house is the first one you reach on the property (there are several other houses up the hill). There is also a green sign that is helpful in guiding you. Also, use your GPS because there isn't a street number that I ever saw, but your GPS knows exactly where it is.
The property is set in a garden with limited view of the ocean. It is quiet with easy drive to Hana village, food trucks and many beaches and hiking trails. The property has everything needed to make it convenient Washer/ dryer, snorkels and boogie boards. Only problem was the sofa needs a new base . I would stay there again
We had friends visiting from mainland that had booked a place here and we wanted to hang with them and found this unit. It was great! Exactly what we needed. Very clean too! Easy to get to all the fun Hana spots.
We loved this little spot. Fabulous view that we enjoyed with the moon reflecting off the ocean, a huge lawn to play on and super close to Koki, Hamoa and Hana. We would have loved to stay longer!
We stayed at Michelle's cabin for three nights. It was simply gorgeous: spotless clean, comfortable, fully equipped, felt like a home. I am hoping to come back in future.
This was the perfect little cottage that is right in the middle of everything in Hana. Michele was an excellent host and had VERY quick response times, even with time differences when booking. The cottage came with all the water equipment you would need, including snorkel gear, boogie boards (so much fun!), volleyball, water shoes, etc. Black sand beach at Waianapanapa State Park was a 10-15 min drive, Venus Pool is about the same, as well as the red sand beach and multiple other beaches. The cottage had tons of acreage and lots of fruit trees around the property. I would absolutely stay here again. Thank You to the Horens!!
Weâve stayed in three other vacation rentals in Hanne and this is our favorite. Quiet, great location and comfortable. Weâll definitely stay here the next time we visit Hana.
A great overnight stop for 1 night as we drove to Hana and then back the next day. Great location. Had a covered patio area which is great with the sea breeze. A little dated but everything is functioning perfectly! :-) Mahalo
Nice small house just outside Hana, but close to everything. 1min to food trucks and stores, 5min to two beaches (and Huli Huli Chicken). It is a good place to start for day trips to do all the road to Hana things without hurry and be the first at Waimoku Falls, WaiÊ»Änapanapa State Park or Lava Tube. If we (family of 4) come back to Hana, we happily would stay here again.
Otto and Wendy have been residents of Hana for almost 40 years. They are proud parents of two young girls who grew up in beautiful Hana, Maui. Their oldest daughter, Michelle, now helps manage the property.

Optimal location but still provides lots of privacy. You can run into town to pick something up for dinner (2 minute drive north) or take a quick swim at world renowned Hamoa beach (2 minute drive south).
The screened in patio will keep all unwanted bugs out and let you enjoy your morning coffee outside! Also, the washer and dryer on site is perfect for longer stays.
