Oceanview #206 at Hana Kai Maui - Lofted Studio, Upper floor, Great View!

“Puhele” (Unit 206) is a premium oceanview studio located on the upper floor of the Mauka building. There is a king bed in the loft and a queen hide-a-bed on the main floor. Sliding glass doors open onto a spacious lanai with an amazing view of Hana Bay. This unit features travertine tile floors, granite countertops in the bath and kitchen, a mini dishwasher, a tub/shower combination, and bamboo accents throughout. Puhele sleeps a maximum of 3 people (double occupancy is included and additional guests are at a rate of $20 each per night.

*NOTE: We do not recommend sleeping in the loft between June and October as we do not have AIR CONDITIONING.

The unit was well stocked and all was great. Only issue was poor ventilation in the loft made for a warm night. Second issue which the owners cannot control was the lawn machines going all morning making enjoying the balcony and view impossible. so that we had to sit inside while having breakfast. Perhaps doing that work could wait until 10:30 when people are checking out? Anyway it’s a very nice spot.

Great lofted bedroom on a beautiful beach!

While in Maui I highly recommend staying in Hana for a night or two rather than trying to do the entire "Road to Hana" in one day, and our stay here was great!Located on a beautiful black sand beach, with plenty of local action. Super easy walk/drive into 'town' where there are great food trucks (open until 7:30. Try the drunken noodles....just trust me). There was a great grill to use to cook a meal at home and watch the sunset as well.Perfectly located between the park entrances and Paia. We loved the location and met several friendly locals who had puppies to play with and travel advice to share!Bed was comfortable, but keep the screen closed all day long or some undesired friends will find your walls and pillows!

Stunning view of black sand beach

This apartment is a darling place with a scrumptious view of the ocean! Spent a lot of time on the balcony listening to breakers pound on the rocks across the bay and roll up on a lovely little black sand beach. It had all the amenities and was very clean. Would definately stay there again.

Very relaxing stay. No TV, No A/C should be disclosed upfront. However, Wi-Fi was very good keeping us connected. Nice quit place to reconnect with nature.

Love the location but NOT the per night rate😞

We only had time for a overnight stay & had a great time. I think the rate we paid for 1 night was actually for 2 nights, if we booked directly. That was the only suck-y part.

Great overnight stay!

We had a great over night stay with my daughter and sister during our girls visit to Hana. After long day of driving and hiking and soaking up the beauty of Hana it was nice to have a a rental near by to relax and rest. The listing was spot on. Clean, quiet, great location, easy check in & check out process, and friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

Magical spot!

We absolutely loves our stay in Hana at this resort. The staff were so friendly and helpful, providing us with recommendations to eat (very limited). Our condo overlooked the ocean, so we watched the sunrise every morning. It was clean and cozy. Will definitely stay again!

Beautiful and Relaxing

Puhele at Hana Kai was the perfect little spot for us. The view of the black sands of Waikoloa and Hana Bay are breathtaking. Close to Hasegawa and Hana Store. Be sure to stop by My Tita’s Cafe for your coffee or tea fix, it’s Hana’s “Starbucks”.

Nice view of Hana Bay and sound of waves coming to shore. The condo itself was clean and serviceable, staff was friendly and helpful. Note that Hana Bay has a rocky beach (smooth rocks), not a sandy beach. We were there in June and it was a little warm at night (no A/C in the unit), but comfortable enough if you run the fans. Kitchen is small but equipped adequately for simple meals. Salt, pepper and some coffee were provided.

A place of zen

This place was a little slice of heaven. No tech. No TV. Just a quiet view of the ocean. You can fall asleep to the sound of the waves. It was magical.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was in easy driving distance to everything Hana had to offer. Very restful. It was lovely listening to the waves crash on the shore as we fell asleep.

Loved the location .. close to everything.. beautiful view and wonderful lanai to sit and watch the sun rise .. unit had everything we needed except a hair dryer. Lovely Hawaiian decor but a little worn and could use a refresh .

We enjoyed this two bedroom condo immediately across the road from a fabulous beach. The condo was spacious and well equipped with a large comfortable balcony. The self check in process was easy and convenient. I would go back again! :D
