It is like my 2nd home. Killer view- photos did not do justice to the reality. Liz, the owner is very attentive, all details of what you need in a house is present. There is a reverse osmosis water in kitchen & bathroom with labels that we used for cooking & brushing our teeth. We bought alkaline water to drink. If you just want to soak on the direct glacier , mountain & lake all day view is enough to relax you. The freshly caught fishes were grilled outside- yum!
Great property, very clean. Accommodating owners willing to answer any questions you might have. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of towels/linen for our party of 10. Would definitely stay here again.
I have to be honest I was a little nervous about staying at this VRBO. When I have booked other VRBOs I have been able to connect with the owners prior to our stay to get some help with planning things to do while we are there. This wasnât the case with this one, but I was put at ease as soon as we got to the property! Liz was great! She sat down with us and looked at a map of Homer with us and pointed out things to do! She was easily accessible via phone while we were there!
The property was great! We saw Sandhill cranes and pheasants from our window! My two boys really enjoyed the loft sleeping areas! The kitchen had everything we needed and there was good drinking water!
We were not in the house very much as we were out and about exploring Homer and doing a fishing charter! By the way, if youâre looking for a family friendly charter Captain Mike with Homer fishing Charter is the way to go!
Thanks for the great stay Liz! If we had the chance to come back to Alaska we would stay here again!
The cabin was in a great location. Spectacular view in the morning. Cozy bed and very comfortable place to stay. Thank you for your hospitality with local fresh apples. We will recommend this cabin to our friends.
Great value and super convenient location. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Apples and a few lingering red raspberries were available on the property. If you need a quiet place to get away from the world for a bit, this is a great option.
The property is outside of Homer a few miles but very much worth it for the great views and quiet setting. House was very clean and comfortable. We very much appreciated our stay.
All is good with this one!! Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. For the small house, there's surprisingly a lot of room for our family to spread out and each have our own space. Thanks for a great stay!!
When deciding to pick a house for a couple days in Homer we opted for one with a view vs. one in town. Boy are we glad we did. The view was spectacular!
The house was comfortable and clean. We didnât spend much time in the house as we were out exploring Homer with helpful suggestions from Rich, the owner.
We had two couples plus a small dog and we had plenty of room.
The views CANNOT be beat at this cabin. Honestly, who gets to look out on a glacier (the Grewingk), beautiful mountains surrounding Kechamek Bay every morning and every evening? People who rent this cabin, thatâs who! You will NEVER tire of this view!!! Not even in a million years! We had to pinch ourselves every day! Itâs a cabin, nothing fancy, but who comes to Homer, Alaska for fancy? The beds are all comfortable in the 3 bedrooms (we didnât try the two loft areas), the grill was a nice perk, and our host, Rich, was accommodating and generous in every way. We stayed a WHOLE MONTH and it wasnât long enough! Homer, Alaska is a place of relaxation, renewal, and reviving your soul. We had awesome fishing and kayaking adventures, as well as incredible hiking and biking. We were exhausted every evening when we returned back to the cabin. Do your research before you come to Homer- you wonât be disappointed.
