Easy check-in, responsive host. Perfect spot for our entire family of 17, including kids and grandkids. Loved the location being on the bay with the ocean just across the street. The downstairs great room had plenty of space for our entire crew to hang out together for meals and games. Lots of restaurant choices close by, though we ate most breakfasts and dinners at the house. We enjoyed walks, bike rides, paddle boarding (brought our own), volleyball and football on the sand. Also outings to the zoo, golf, and Coronado.

Everyone really enjoyed our stay

It was difficult finding a place for our extended family of 22 guests, we were glad to come across this Surf Style rental that had 3 townhomes right next to each other. It gave us all our separate space but we were all able to gather on the beach and the downstairs patio. Our children and grandchildren really enjoyed it!

In summary, our accommodations were adequate for hosting three families and having a large gathering space in the ground floor unit. All agreed that the three separate units allowed for privacy while keeping everyone relatively close. There was also agreement that the units were in need of updating and a little TLC. The location was ideal with volleyball on the beach a few steps away.

Wedding Weekend

We reserved these 3 units for separate families to stay during a nearby wedding weekend at the MB Women's Club. The units and bedrooms were large, every bedroom except one had a tv, so it fit everyone perfectly. Each unit was well equipped with kitchenware, seating, and extra bedding. And the bay was so much more calm and relaxing than other places we've stayed on the ocean front side. A wonderful wedding weekend!

The property (3 units) was perfect for our family of 18 to come together and enjoy San Diego. The hosts were responsive and resolved any issues that came up. There are lots of beach toys, beach chairs, boogie boards, and some baby equipment (high chairs and toys) at the properties. It was a perfect place for our family to enjoy both the bay and the ocean. We felt like we needed more days to truly access everything we wanted to see and do and hope to be back. The free rentals of kayaks and bicycles and other beach related items are a great perk. We were only able to rent the kayaks because of our time limitation, but it was amazing to have the ability to do that. With the exception of the downstairs unit, all units have multiple stairs so if you’re bringing little children, you will need a baby gate. Each unit is well stocked with the lower unit being best for gathering as a family. There is an issue with the tides which happens occasionally. When the tides come in you need to move your car from the garage because of the danger of flooding. That only happened on our last two days. They do have carbon monoxide detectors as well as smoke alarms, which wasn’t clear on the listing. Otherwise I can’t say enough positive things about this property. An amazing San Diego beach experience.

Mission Bay - Waterfront 7

Our family (8 adults and 9 children) enjoyed the Waterfront 7. The three units comfortably accommodated the entire family (nine total bedrooms). We used the larger ground floor unit and patio to host lunches and dinners for the entire group. The units are well furnished, kitchen's well equipped, and plenty of beach chairs and beach toys. We had a fabulous stay and would book this unit again. The Host (Surf Style Vacation Homes) is very professional. Good communication, easy access, and easy check out. The unit was clean and we had ample towels and supplies.

My one complaint is with you the VRBO as until we made our first payment I was NOT aware you would charge me a fee for using your site. I will no longer go through an VRBO to find a rental.

Perfect Accommodations for our Extended Family Vacation

The three separate condos were perfect for our annual family vacation with our four kids and 11 grandchildren. We loved going to the Beach in the morning, and paddle boarding in the bay in the afternoon. Great location for both. I would have given five stars, but the condos were a little run down and could use some updates, but nothing that made our stay there uncomfortable. I was excited that there were six garage spaces, unfortunately, the entry was so low, only two vehicles were able to park there. If you have an SUV, or have luggage racks on your vehicle, you won't be able to park there. We were able to find parking across the Bay at the recreation center, and since we didn't really need to use our vehicles that much, it worked out perfectly. Street parking is limited, and there is no parking on Tues and Fri mornings from 8am - 10am. Overall, it was a great place to stay, and I would probably rent there again.

Ideal for large family

Let me say that the units combined were perfect for our family of 20 (and 2 infants @1 year old) It really does provide privacy and get away for everyone, which is needed when traveling with a large group. We used the downstairs unit as the gathering area and the patio was big enough for all of us to hang out. Overall, everyone was pleased and of course you can't beat the location. It was ideal for our family of small grandchildren and just a short walk to the shore. We gave it 4 stars (would have been 4.5 but that isn't an option) because of the following: A bit dated - but clean, towels need to be replaced and we had issues with loading and unloading our large trucks/SUVs (that don't fit in underground parking) due to the narrowness of the one-way road that sits right behind building. Bring your family, volleyball and beach games. You will be very happy with this rental

WONDERFUL! And yes, as noted in the ad, parking height is a bit low at 6' High so best to bring a car/sedan (many larger minivans/SUV's may be too tall)...

comfortable spot for relaxing family retreat

We had a fantastic stay at this listing that included 3 units. There is a huge living space in the downstairs unit that opens to a patio on the bay. The view was spectacular! All units had plenty of kitchen ware and washers dryers. My favorites would have to be the huge tv downstairs and upstairs corner unit master br that is surrounded by large windows looking out to the bay. Our manager was super quick to respond to inquiry we had about extra parking. All in all a very comfortable spot for our relaxing family getaway.

Bayside Amazingness - Fabulous for Family

We're always a little nervous that sight unseen rentals will be what they advertise but this rental is even better than posted! We booked 3 of 4 condos for a 14 person family get together and we all fit perfectly. The rooms are great so there was no fighting about who got the "good" room and the downstairs property was perfect as a family gathering space. The condos are well-appointed and stocked for beach-going - chairs, toys, towels, boogie boards, etc. - and the kitchen is as well. My mother was THRILLED with her 80th birthday weekend! Highly recommend for families (though families with toddlers should know of tiled staircase).

We loved the ability to get lots of people together for a fun weekend comfortably. The location is great, pretty quiet... loved watching fireworks show from my comfy bed!

Fun Fun Fun

We had a wonderful time. The house was great and a great size for all 19 of us. Lots of different outdoor areas, most of us spent time on the downstairs patio listening to the built in music system. Everything was clean, bedding was very comfortable, and the units had everything needed for us including supplies and towels. We did have an issue with one of the TVs, but that was all and your response was quick. Thanks again, Shari
