The house was clean. It was well appointed and tastefully decorated. The kitchen had everything you need. I requested an air fryer and Scott provided us with one. The view from the balcony is breath taking. One of the best sunsets I have ever seen. Lots of extra towels, and even paper towels and toilet paper were provided. Tv in every room. Our reunion group really enjoyed our stay.
The home is beautiful and huge, so many places to just âget awayâ by yourself or someone else. Itâs very clean and supplied with so many necessities that will save you a lot of grocery shopping money if you stop to check the home before shopping. The location is great for shopping and restaurants and even the airport is only about 20 minutes away. The pool, hot tub and large grass lawn are wonderful. Itâs the perfect home for family or friends reunion. And Scott is wonderful, answers texts within minutes!
The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we could possibly need. Kids loved the ping pong table and spent most of their time in the pool. Would love to come back and do this trip again next year. Scott was an amazing host and quick to respond with any questions we had.
We booked this for our annual golf trip. The house was plenty large enough for 16 adult men. Large spaces gave each of us privacy as needed, but there is also plenty of room to gather without feeling cramped.
House and views were amazing. Beds were comfortable. One of the best parts was all the things other guests would leave behind, such as plastic cups, garbage bags, condiments among other things. Scott was an awesome host as well and very responsive.
We had a beautiful stay as La Mesa for Memorial Weekend for our son's graduation. The home is stocked with everything you need from pantry sundries to towels for the pool. Very thoughtful and through planning to ensure you don't ever need to leave. Thank you. We had a wonderful time.
Beautiful property. Four generations of family stayed here for one week. So much room for everyone. Enjoyed the pool area. Also the lawn for playing croquet and taking family photos against the sunset. Lots of intimate spaces but also a huge living room for when everyone wants to be together. Kitchen was very well stocked. Easy to drive to downtown San Diego. Highly recommend this home.
We had a large family gathering with adults and kids and this place was incredible for that gathering. The kitchen had every gadget you needed and the house was very clean. Two of our family members were travelling with toddlers and the place was very accommodating for people in our family from 80 years old to two years old. The views and pool area were incredible. The location of the house was great and within 20 minutes of the places we visited for sightseeing. Our host, Scott, was friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommend this place for a family gathering and we hope to book this property again in the future.
12 adults stayed for 4 nights. Amazing house with TONS of room. The house is so well stocked with food and supplies in the huge pantry. Professional kitchen with huge fridge. We never wanted to eat out.
Scott was very responsive and flexible. Multiple people in.the group talked about coming back with their own families
Outstanding accommodations for a family gathering!
Our extended family of 15, ranging in ages from 5 to 81, stayed at Scott's home for a week in July. We thoroughly enjoyed everything the house has to offer. Our family travels from all over the US and abroad, and we had everything we could need during our stay. From the linens to the kitchen tools, Scott provided all that we could want and more. The space offers a ton of room for indoor and outdoor living. While there, we took convenient day trips to a baseball game, La Jolla/Coronado beaches, and the San Diego Zoo. We are already planning a return trip next year! Thanks, Scott!
Every year our large family gets together and this house was fantastic. We have many kids with us from infants to teens. Iâve never rented a home more baby friendly, from cribs to diaper pails, and even multiple float options for the pool. There are many stairways but baby gates are provided if you wish. The pantry and kitchen are well appointed. The home is absolutely gorgeous. The indoor and outdoor spaces transport you to the Italian countryside. We had 21 people and never felt crowded with plenty of comfortable places to relax. A short drive from anything you might need and beautiful views at the top of Mount Helix. The owner is very responsive and easy to talk to if you need anything. We absolutely plan on visiting again.
Our stay at this prpperty was nothing short of spectacular. This massive 7000 square foot home exceeded all our expectations, offering an exquisite blend of comfort, luxury, and breathtaking views.
From the moment we walked in, we were awestruck by the sheer size and beauty of this property. The interior was impeccably designed, combining modern aesthetics with warm, inviting touches. The spacious living areas provided ample room for our large group, ensuring that everyone had their own slice of paradise.
The pool and surrounding deck were the perfect places to unwind and take in the stunning vistas. Whether we were sipping morning coffee on the patios or enjoying the photo tub while watching the sunset, the view was absolutely mesmerizing.
Privacy was a key highlight of our stay. With so much space both indoors and outdoors, we felt like we were in our own private resort. The host had thoughtfully provided all the amenities we could need, making it easy for us to relax and enjoy our time without a worry in the world.
The bedrooms were comfortable and well-appointed, ensuring a good night's sleep after long days of fun in the sun. The fully-equipped kitchen made preparing meals a breeze.
The host was incredibly accommodating and responsive, ensuring that our stay was as seamless as possible. Their attention to detail and hospitality added an extra layer of comfort.
We're already looking forward to our next stay!
This property is a wonderful place to stay for a large family group(we were 11 adults and 8 children) - plenty of space to be together without being on top of each other, with its courtyard and terraces complete with tables for eating and board games. Beautiful kitchen with 2 large ovens and plenty of crockery and large pans to cook for a large group. The pantry had many of the basics already, such as oil, salt and pepper, some sugar etc. so no need to buy everything from scratch. Some delicious chocolate chip cookies were left for our arrival. The two large fridges supplied copious amounts of ice. The washing machine and drier are also large so washing for our group was quick and easy. The pool was at a very comfortable temperature, especially in the evenings after days in the full sun (in July), and the hot tub didn't take long to heat up when needed. The pool and beach cupboards provided extra items such as 'noodles' and inflatables, including some specifically designed to provide shade for tiny tots. Whereas some owners seem to approach their role based on 'How little can I get away with', this one has gone out of his way to provide extras to make his residents' holidays easier and more special, even providing shampoo, conditioner and body wash in every shower along with plenty of towels. Be sure to catch the sunsets - they are quite spectacular!
This is a beautiful home and property. The photos can't do it justice. It accommodated our immediate family (21 people) nicely. We range from 10 months old to 68 years old and everybody loved it. The home is set up with multiple beds in most of the bedrooms, which is perfect for young families. There are places to gather and places to relax privately. I'm a pool snob, but the pool was very clean and the water well balanced. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need for any meal. I messaged ahead and asked about an espresso machine. Scott replied that there wasn't one in the house, then went and purchased one. We have rented 6-8 big houses in the western United States and this one is hands down the nicest one. I hope to bring the family back next year. I also need to mention that the host (Scott) is very responsive. We didn't have any problems, but I did have a few questions.
We were three generations: two grandparents, three married children & their spouses, six grandchildren. The house is huge & has great separation of spaces over multiple levels. We could be together when we wanted & not when we didn't. The architecture is extremely interesting. There are a number of porches & patios, lovely places to read quietly with a drink & feel the breeze. Walking through the front door, you are in a covered courtyard with one open side leading down a few steps to a partially enclosed atrium, a great place to admire the sunset or relax in the night breeze. There are many stairs in the house (two long staircases, one medium, five short) plus a number of steps down to the pool, so it's a house for active people. The large swimming pool plus hot tub was extremely popular & there are a ton of pool toys, etc. The large kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, pots & pans, appliances, etc., & a huge double-door refrigerator freezer. My daughter especially loved the excellent blender. :-) The washer & dryer were very handy. The house is well stocked with various supplies. There is a walk-in pantry with all sorts of serving dishes, supplies, basic food stuffs left by other guests, etc. Our host responded quickly to questions I could go on & on. Two things to know: no stores are within walking distance & the master suite windows have no shades so morning light comes in (not a privacy issue because no one can see in; just a light issue).
This home exceeded all our expectations. Scott was an outstanding hostâresponsive, welcoming, and everything was exactly as described. Weâve never stayed in a rental with so much space. The layout was thoughtful, the rooms were plentiful and comfortable, and the entire property was impeccably maintained. The highlight for us was definitely the pool and hot tub. The pool was surprisingly largeâmuch bigger than we expectedâand quickly became the centerpiece of our stay. We used it every single day and loved every minute.
Multi generation family vacation. The house was just perfect, many places to gather to visit, play or eat together. So clean and very well appointed. Enjoyed the pool and spa. Visited the local farmers market. A great location for visiting the area. Thank you!
We recently stayed at this property and had a wonderful time. Itâs large and our multi-generational family (ages 7-70) loved it. The views were beautiful, the gourmet kitchen a delight, plenty of different living areas with tvâs where the kids watched shows and adults watched baseball and golf, a large pool and hot tub, beautiful grounds, etc. My personal favorite area was the balcony where a nice breeze kept you cool while reading, watching the kids in the pool or enjoying the view with a glass of wine!
Probably one of the nicest Estates in all of San Diego. We custom built this home in 2008 to make it a very special place to live and Visit. Absolutely a show off home, After living at the beach for years it was a great idea to build a home in more of a private, safe and secluded area and still have access to what San Diego has to offer in a central location. Recently self closing gates installed around Pool area! Lots of room for Family and Friends with perfect reviews from such. Not part of the City of San Diego restricted rent areas.
Benefits of this home is pure Architecture at it's finest. Entertainment and Showing off is what it was built for. On top of that it is big and private. 20 people could be there and you would not know where they were. Quiet area. Cozy hideaways. Views to respect. It could be the best all around home in San Diego. Recently self closing gates installed around Pool area!
