This was a great little place for us to stay with two small geriatric dogs. The fenced yard was the best for them. The place w is a nice cozy house with plenty of space.
This house is perfect for long or short stays. Very private with its incredible living space that has the sun constantly shining in it among every little detail makes it a wi Defoe place to recharge and rest.
Perfect for a long weekend visiting my daughter. Had my two labs and they really enjoyed the fenced yard .tneighborhood was the neighborhood was perfe t for
Small mid-century house conveniently located in a great wooded neighborhood. Perfect for our family of three and our dog. 30 minutes to Washington DC, and main attractions.
This mid century modern home is delightful. The kitchen is wonderful and easy to cook in. The back yard is a highlight with lovely sitting spaces and tables to enjoy the trees, birds and especially sunsets. We shared meals outdoors with our daughter twice and she was very impressed as well.
Everything about our stay was perfect in this charming and historic property in a suburb outside DC. Glass mid century modern pavilion looks into beautiful yard shaded by mature trees. Quiet neighborhood. House well equipped and comfortable with responsive owners.
Very clean. Nice bathroom. Appliances functional. Nice neighborhood to walk our pugs. Very easy to get to the zoo and downtown Bethesda and Chevy chase via a car. Private and quiet outdoor space. We needed a place to stay to visit family in the area that was dog friendly. It worked out well.
We enjoyed a week in this cozy mid century modern house while we visited places in DC. The house was clean and had everything we needed, the basics and bonuses including coffee, spices, cooking oil, fire wood etc. We loved the view of the yard from the wall of windows, being able to let our dog out, hanging out sitting around the fire pit. The neighborhood was good for walking around in too. We visited Dewey park nearby twice to let the dog and toddler play, and took the metro into DC many times, easily parking at the Wheaton station and it was a 20-30 min ride into the city. The beds and couch were super comfy, and the heated stone floors were an enjoyable touch. My three year old daughter was excited to find a few toys for little kids too. Overall a wonderful stay for our family trip to DC.
This was exceptional. Welcoming, Clean, comfortable, and lots of amenities. We were there for DC sightseeing and the proximity to the metro station was helpful. Host was responsive and welcoming. We appreciated being able to bring our dog with us and he really enjoyed the yard.
Stayed here while visiting son and family in Silver Spring for Christmas. Lovely home with everything you need for a great stay. View is beautiful and even saw a deer by the fence. Owner was easy to contact and so helpful. Have rented homes all over the globe and one of the best experiencesâhighly recommend
This is a lovely mid century modern house, on an interesting estate with similar houses. It was comfortable, quiet and with all mod cons. The garden was a lovely relaxing place after a busy day in Washington
Lovely leafy views, mid-century middle class luxury
This place is a gem - I haven't stayed at a place before just for the aesthetics, but this house was a wonderful trip to share time with our friends and pretend for a few days that we were fancy architecture people
My family was in the area to meet our newborn grandchild. Our sons and dog stayed with us at this property and we visited our daughter and the baby nearby. Every morning, we had coffee on the patio and enjoyed the peaceful, relaxing, very private yard. The neighborhood was quiet and pleasant. The dog enjoyed the fenced yard and hanging out on the patio. The house was great--it's small but very functional, and the patio basically enlarged the living space wonderfully. The property owners were super communicative and friendly. An awesome property and a wonderful stay!
Stayed for a month with dogs, nice private backyard & neighborhood nice for walking.
Nice property, had everything we needed!
Would stay there again if in the area.
Cute and renovated with upscaled kitchen and bathroom appliances. Overall nice quality to everything and it was a very convenient location to the Washington DC area. Bed was very comfortable. Would prefer more comfortable seating in the living room/kitchen area. Quiet neighborhood, the fenced in backyard a definitely plus for our two small dogs.
Great place and very comfortable. Quickly felt at home. Clean with comfortable beds.
Visiting our daughter in Silver Spring, the location was perfect. Look forward to staying again.
Thank you!

This mid-century modern house, initially designed by architect Charles Goodman and fully renovated by our architecture firm, is full of glass, wood, and brick. The home was purposefully sited on the lot in a specific way that creates privacy, maximizes sun exposure, and preserves trees and native plants. We are big fans of Goodman's, and we have renovated over 35 of his houses over the years. Meant to be a small starter home when it was built in the 50s, the house's 900 sq.ft. feels simultaneously warm and comfortable while modern, open, and airy.
Our property stands out for its architectural significance, and beyond that, the back courtyard is a truly exceptional feature. It offers an unparalleled sense of privacy, creating a haven of tranquility just moments away from the bustling energy of DC. This courtyard isn't just an outdoor space; it feels like an extension of the home, an additional room where guests can unwind and connect with the serene surroundings. It's a unique blend of architectural charm and an oasis-like atmosphere that our guests consistently find memorable and delightful.
