We loved our little cove right off the open water. The view from the living room is amazing and panoramic. There's ample outdoor furniture on the east and west sides of the house with an outdoor living room with TV. We rented a boat for tubing and rhe dock was perfect for loading everyone in. My son caught a channel catfish on a rooster tail lure off the dock in the last hour before dusk. Dont believe me? Check the picture!
Pictures do the property more justice. The floor in the house has some warped spots, bring extra blankets, the bedding is very thin. The spider's inside the house are crazy. Not sure who they use to exterminate but I would find a new company. Overall, we had a nice time and made memories.
This is my 3rd year in a row here, the fishing is great the house is clean and well stocked, its quiet and beautiful here....by far my favorite lake house
What an amazing weekend at an amazing property. Everything was perfect down to the amazing breeze all throughout the day! My little family had a much needed relaxing weekend. Not the first and won't be the last time staying at this cozy lake house!
We were highly disappointed in the cleanliness of our stay this weekend. We enjoyed time together but struggled with the dirt and upkeep of the house. The pictures on the listing made the place look clean and kept up with. Upon arrival we were confused with the appearance of the front due to the lack of pictures of the front of the VRBO. There was dirt, spider webs, and bugs all over the inside of every room. As we understand in such a wooded area, bugs are not possible to avoid but the house had not be properly cleaned or dusted. There were dirty dishes in the cabinets and dishes covered in cob webs. The pictures highlighted the back patio as it was beautiful and it is but the furniture was covered in bugs, dirt, and cob webs and needed to be hosed off. The fire pit down by the lack had trash in it and the chairs were covered in webs and spiders. The sliding glass doors and windows had no blinds or curtains which caused no privacy as a safety concern. The baseboards had dirt along them and looked to not have been cleaned in some time. The code to the main gate did not work and you had to get out of the car and unhook the chain and open and close the gate on your own. The parking area where we parked our cars was mud covered. A coffee table would have been of great use in the living room. Although it is nice to unplug, for safety reasons with bringing children to the VRBO when they sleep and need to be monitored, WiFi would be much needed.
It met all our needs. We didnât get to enjoy it as much as we wanted to, because we were there fir a wedding and most of our time was spent at the venue.
This was the perfect getaway to spend Christmas with my adult kids and granddaughter! It was absolutely beautiful watching the sunset over the lake and was so peaceful. We were able to put a tree up so my granddaughter could enjoy her first Christmas opening gifts and reflect on the memories we had visiting Pittsburg Tx with my husband. Thank you for opening your place during the holidays. Will definitely be back again soon. Happy New Year!
A broken bed. A creaking bed. The master shower is terrible, poorly positioned and adapted. The refrigerator only cools with very few things, when we fill it up it starts to cool badly. The fishing deck light didn't turn on at all at night. The other time it didn't turn on either. Once again, the house cleaning for the price charged left much to be desired, just like the first time. The air conditioning is turned on very close to the time of arrival, causing great discomfort in the first few hours of the stay. Conclusion: I won't be back!!! I'm sorry!!!
The property was nice and relaxing. Stayed with my parents and brother. The beds were cozy and we enjoyed playing cornhole on the deck. The hostess was very helpful and sweet. We had some hang ups with the gate but that wasn't too bad. I honestly didn't want to leave.
Great location on the lake and phenomenal fishing spot! The rooms were perfect for what our family needed and A/C worked great in this Texas heat! Great memories were made!
The lakehouse was nice for a short, casual getaway. Outdoor furniture could have been cleaner. Lake access was a plus. It's a short distance to the Lake Sandlin State Park (recommended!) but a drive to get to stores/restaurants.
We had a nice easy stay. Great lake views and plenty of room to stread out.
Bring your own coffee pods and would be helpful if a light was left on outside if guest arriving after dark.
The property is nicely remodled. We enjoyed the views from every window, on the stormy day as well as the sun drenched day. Nice path to the dock. We enjoyed eating at the bar/island counter. The location was near the state park where we love to hike. We caught fish and enjoyed our time at the lake. Thank you for sharing your home with us! We hope to return in the future!
Thank you for letting us stay in your charming, comfortable lake house. It was exactly what we needed. Beautiful lake and other natural surroundings. We saw several deer in the nearby trees each morning, along with a stunning large blue heron wading near the banks of the lake. The house was well-stocked and had comfortable beds and bedding. It was so wonderfully quiet for restful nights of sleep. Thanks again!
Nice quiet getaway lake house. Birds everywhere. We sat on the dock under a cloudless, moonless night and could see the Milky Way and the moons of Jupiter! Our only suggestion would be the addition of lamps in the bedrooms and some end tables in the living area so you have somewhere to put your drink when watching tv.
The property is beautiful and bedding is extremely comfortable. It was quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. Caught some fishes at the pier and we also did sâmores with the family. My only complaint was the lighting in kitchen/dining area. Overall, it was our first experience and we had so much fun! We will most likely come back again!
I have lived in Pittsburg for about 30 years. I am a Real Estate Broker at Century 21 Premier Group in Pittsburg as well. I have been in the real estate business for 24 years.
When we were looking at purchasing a lake property we chose this place because of the seclusion and the location. We wanted a lake property just far enough from town that once we got there we didnât want to leave but close enough to town that if we needed to we could.
The location and privacy was perfect for our needs. We wanted to let kids swim and fish at pier but also be close enough to main lake to do water sports. The home is cozy yet spacious enough.
