Bienvenue au point de décompression!

DĂ©tendez-vous de la vie quotidienne dans ce qui peut ĂȘtre la cabane la plus unique de ce coin de pays, situĂ© sur une pĂ©ninsule privĂ©e de 1,1 hectare avec 170 pieds de rivage.

Commencez votre journĂ©e avec un cafĂ© sur la plage privĂ©e ou sur la jetĂ©e, en regardant les aigles, les loutres, les colibris et les huards rĂ©sidents. Explorez les bois et communiquez avec la nature Ă  votre guise. AprĂšs une journĂ©e de baignade et de pĂȘche, s'mores autour du foyer sur la plage sont en ordre pendant que vous regardez la lune se lever sur le lac. Et quand il est temps de se coucher, profitez du confort de la maison, loin de la maison.

DP est une cabine humble et adaptée aux familles qui peut accueillir confortablement 7 adultes (2 lits king california neufs en 2019, 2 lits superposés et 1 futon), pour 8 personnes si vous vous aimez vraiment et partagez les couchettes. Un pack 'n play est disponible pour votre bébé et une barriÚre de lit pour votre tout-petit.

Vos chiots font Ă©galement partie de la famille et sont donc les bienvenus, dans la mesure oĂč ils se comportent bien. Nous demandons qu’ils soient au courant des vaccinations, des agents de prĂ©vention du ver du cƓur et des puces / tiques.

Tout ce dont vous aurez besoin pour un séjour confortable est fourni, notamment des jeux, des puzzles, des jouets, des DVD et du matériel de lecture pour vous divertir par temps de pluie. Pas de WiFi ou de cùble (c'est, aprÚs tout, point de décompression), mais la réception du téléphone portable est bonne.

La cabine est située sur une péninsule privée de 1+ acres sur le magnifique lac Pickerel. Le lac a une superficie de 24 hectares et une profondeur de 13 pieds. On y trouve des poissons de mer, des achigans à grande bouche, des grands brochets et des muscs. *** Ceci est un lac sans sillage ***

Rhinelander, Merrill et Tomahawk sont facilement accessibles pour faire du shopping et se divertir. Visitez le Hodag! La cabine a un accĂšs direct aux sentiers de VTT Harrison Hills.

Soaking up nature, kayaking, fishing, campfires, the trail on the peninsula, and our kids learning to kayak were some of our favorites. Nice peaceful calm lake. Place was extremely kid friendly and had so much for them to do. We loved this little slice of heaven and hope to be back!

The home is clean and has most of the necessities which makes packing very simple. Love the canoe and kayaks! No cell service, which makes for a perfect getaway for my over-worked self. The lake is quiet. The wildlife is abundant.

Summer vs Fall-all good

This is our second time staying here, the prior time being in late fall. Communication and ease of check-in is great. We were at the tail end of what probably was a busy summer stay at this property so some of the smaller items were close to needing to be replaced or repaired (some chairs/kayaks). This had no impact on our stay and I gave the owners a heads up. There was a new hammock that was used often and a beautiful screen room that was great, but the bugs weren't bad at all. The location is peaceful and what I truly appreciate is that this property sits on a peninsula, so you really feel like there is no one around. The property is easily traversed and the fire gazing by the water as you view the stars in the night sky brings back the memories of camping as a kid. We had a great stay, some great weather and for the novice fisherman there are tons of small blue gills right under the pier to keep the young fisherman happy and mom/dad busy.

Perfect family getaway

Everything a family could possibly need to relax in the Northwoods! This was our second visit and it feels like home. Having inside and outside toys and games available really helps to keep the trip light on packing and heavy on adventuring. Beautiful, fun getaway!

Beautiful and Peaceful Location

Just perfect!

This truly was a beautiful spot to stay! Amazing cabin with everything that you need. This was perfect for four adults and two children with room to spare. Our grandchildren couldn’t wait to stay at the “round house” and I have to admit it was better than we even expected! Enjoy all the outdoor activities such as swimming and non motorized boats, swing set, sand toys with perfect beach for little ones. Hosts were very easy to contact should you have any questions. Definitely would recommend!

Great Property

This place is a little slice of “Up North” heaven. The owners provide you with anything you need for a perfect family vacation. Don’t feel the need to overpack. They have thought of everything from the campfire to the kitchen to the towels, even toys and a playpen for babies. The property is well-maintained and secluded with a pier. Our little ones spent hours feeding fish from the pier, swimming and enjoying campfires. If you are looking to unplug and reconnect with nature and your family this is the place.

Wonderful getaway!

The listing is accurate! Decompression Point is the perfect name. Though the weather decided it wanted to rear its ugly head we enjoyed our stay. The home is aptly stocked with things to do, the wildlife out the windows and the views made for any time we couldn’t spend outdoors. The fishing was great, though we didn’t catch any impressive fish we did catch enough panfish for a little fish fry. The “locals” on the lake doing their daily/nightly jaunts were very friendly. We even saw a woman kayak with her cat! My daughter thought that was the coolest thing ever! We collected our fair share of “shells” from just off the dock. Its location is close enough to things to do outside the property. We loved our stay and are hoping to book another stay!

One amazing cabin

Of all the cabins we've stayed at, this was definitely our favorite as it had everything we were looking for. Private, beautiful, and had all the amenities we needed. We enjoyed the beautiful view, the gazebo, beach area, taking out the rowboat, and fishing. Our 6 year old especially enjoyed the beach area, the toys, the scavenger hunt, all the children's movies, and reallly loved catching all the bluegills right from the dock! Hosts were very easy to work with and replied quickly. We could see their thoughtfulness throughout the cabin - really made us feel comfortable. What a wonderful place!

Wonderful weekend!

We had an amazing weekend stay at Decompression Point! We all loved swimming, attempting to fish, and paddling around the lake in the provided boats. The beds are comfortable, and we watched a movie from their vast collection each night. We didn't have cell reception, but it was nice to unplug for a few nights. And the neighbors seem very friendly that if we needed help in an emergency, we were sure there would be someone nearby to help out. We had one hot day (90+ degrees), and the a/c worked great. Other than that, the cabin was cool and we didn't need the a/c for the majority of our stay. Thank you for sharing your really fun home with us! We hope to return next summer!

Perfect, cozy, loved.

From the moment we drove up, the kids were excited by the “Hodag Crossing” sign, then hopped out of the car to explore while my husband and I unpacked and their excitement grew with the “fairy tree” and swing set and the house with no corners! We enjoyed a quite first night watching a movie (with a beautiful view) and read a book about a very industrious squirrel before bed. The peddle boat was perfect for Exploring the lake with the kids. Clear water and sandy beach for swimming, fire pit on the shore, inside toys, outside toys, books, EVERYTHING you could possibly need, including wonderful, kind hosts. The best way I could describe it is that there are so many cabin rentals out there that are a flip and a quick buck for the owner, with amenities that check the boxes, Amazon decor, and no soul left to speak of. This is NOTHING LIKE THAT. The love and memories of this cabin run deep and you can feel it while you’re there. The toys, books, movies, decor, they’re all there because they brought joy to the family, not because they check the right number of boxes for amenities on a rental site. I am so grateful that the Shea family made the choice to share their beautiful cabin with us so we could make our own memories. Thank you!

Perfect stay

We loved our time on vacation! House was outfitted with anything we could possibly need for kids, cooking, etc. The beds were comfy and our toddlers loved all the toys, books and DVDs. The sandy beach and adirondacks were heavenly for relaxing (not to mention the view and quiet!). We hope to be back soon and thanks to Kathy for all the quick communication:).

Wonderful Place

We loved it here - the location is perfect for privacy and truly feeling like you're getting away from it all. Spent the days kayaking, bird watching, and reading by the beautiful lake. The cabin had lots of amenities and character and is clearly well taken care of. We especially enjoyed the large movie collection at night! We hope to be back.
