Haddon Grove is literally on the doorstep of the bustling market town of Bakewell, and close to the cultural spa town of Buxton. Similarly, it is a short trip to the beautiful village of Hathersage and its quaint shops and pubs where you can also pay your respects at the burial place of Little John, the legendary fellow outlaw of Robin Hood. The World Heritage Site at Cromford Mills, the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, is only a 30-minute journey by car. Whilst there, add the factory shop at the world famous John Smedley Mills to your ‘to do’ list, and a required destination for any cotton or cashmere purchase. If you fancy a change of scenery during your stay at Haddon Grove, then the city centres of Manchester, Sheffield, Nottingham and Chesterfield are all within an hour’s drive.
