Just a few miles away, Aira Force Waterfall awaits, nestled within ancient woodland, offering a serene escape through the glades. Take a boat from the village to Howtown where you can walk to Glenridding and catch the boat back to Pooley Bridge. This was one of Wordsworth's favourite walks and offers views of Ullswater and Helvellyn.
