Great location!

Perfect little spot for some relaxing days at the beach. Place was clean, beds were comfortable! Definitely would stay there again since the beach is a few minutes walk away.

Comfortable spot for not much dough

Nicely remodeled older place -- the bed was super comfortable and the kitchen was workable. It has two bedrooms, but with the tiny common area you all better be super close friends to avoid cabin fever. Certainly small young family sized. Fenced in yard was great for the dog.

Good spot

Overall a good spot for the money. Little small, but it’s so close to the beach and restaurants it’s hard to beat. It is definitely lacking in cooking pots and pans. Frying pan was rusty and worn out. Had to go Buy a pot to boil crabs and pasta. Beds were good, clean. Plenty of towels. Internet only works in one room. But again not critical.

Great Location

We loved being steps away from the beach, no ocean views though. The beds were comfortable and plenty of linens. However there were not any chairs to sit at the table, and the side of the Fridge and the sink faucet were dirty. The can opener provided did not work as well. We enjoyed our stay, with few exceptions! Thank you!

Box spring was socked in with springs that collapsed bed slats under box springs 2 had fallen off

Extremely run down property with horrible bed situation. Property is pretty tiny for 6 people but was expected. The property is crazy run down and pretty gross. Towels all stained. Comforter was filthy and had a big tear in it. They need to invest in some new stuff and remodel the inside. But as for the location it was fantastic. If you don’t mind a crazy run down place it’s fine. But only if they fix the bed!

Very clean inside. Pictures showed a BBQ but did not have one. Property outside was terribly unkept. Dog friendly doesn't mean broken fences where dogs can get out. Couldn't even sit outside because only one picnic table for three units. All amenities were as advertised and beds were comfortable but when you have 2 couple; 4 people; and 2 teenagers 1-boy & 1-girl they would not share a fold down couch together. Suppose to sleep 6?

I loved nothing about this place except that it was clean. It was missing things which I had to call and ask for. There were no dishes in the cupboard, tons of glasses but no dishes. The bathroom is so small, you can barely move around. There are no dressers in the bedrooms or places to put clothes, etc. The bedside lights were broken and only one could turn on the bulb. A stupid place to rent because it isn't worth half the price because iti s so small and nothing is of any worth inside.

Extremely small, says it sleeps 6, but I doubt that would be very comfortable. The kitchen supplies are lacking, and also dirty, every plate had dried on food, as well as every pot and pan. The location is great though, so if you just need a place to sleep (uncomfortably, on hard beds) then its great. But no good if you want to relax between beaching and shopping, nowhere to sit. Also, no wifi.

Perfect for Pets

It was the first time we took our 4 month (65 lbs) puppy anywhere and I was worried he would smell other dogs accidents and be naughty but it didn’t happen. The place was clean without the harsh chemicals that hotels use that make me sick. I would say it felt like a community of people just taking a break from life and relaxing. Very pleasant atmosphere.

What we would like to see

It would be nice to have a toaster in the room and directions to run direct TV. There is a leak under kitchen sink and bathroom sink faucet is loose. Couch is ver uncomfortable and made our butts hurt.

good, basic, place to stay at lovely Rockaway Beach

It's Clean and Comfortable, and small. Good home base for when you're on the beach. The wifi is more theoretical, than practical. The Netflix doesn't download any shows, the phone coverage is nearly non-existent and the barking of dogs for these dog friendly rentals is nearly constant. But the beds are clean and comfortable, the kitchen is reasonably ok, and most of the heaters work. So if that's your jam, then it's a good place to stay at a reasonable rate.

This place was in a pretty good spot though not right on the beach. It was located in a pretty good place, there was good parking. What was disappointing was the cleanliness, walls were dirty, carpet old and dirty, beds so tight in the room I could barely get in the bed. The cabinets chipped and most the furniture was pretty beat up. There was no broom at all to sweep up especially at a beach place. It was nothing like the picture. WiFi went in and out all the time and extremely slow. It was not exactly what I paid for. I would book here again for sure.

The small apartment was perfect for our short stay. Great location, close to the downtown, the train, and the beach. The only thing that could've made it better was to have a small dust pan and broom handy so we could clean up any sand that crept in (even taking our shoes off) and food crumbs from a few meals we had.

Was not what we were expecting

The house did not look like the pictures. It was much smaller. Based on the information given we were under the impression we were staying in a stand alone house not part of a multi unit home. The blankets had stains on them and one bedroom had a weird brown stain above the bed.

This is a small unit in a group of units. Gated, easy beach access, very clean. Missing coffee filters and an oven pan. Odd but we were fine.

Very Nice Stay

This was a great little place to stay for a weekend in Rockaway. The unit itself was very clean and neat and surprisingly quiet (except for the a.m. trains) given the vicinity of the other units. Getting into the unit was very easy with the lockbox. The bed we slept in was comfortable. We enjoyed being able to prepare meals with the provided kitchenware and dishes. The beach was only steps away and we enjoyed picking through the rocks for cool finds. We did however have a few issues. One, the wall heater element in the main area seemed to be out and it was chilly. Two, they used way too much fabric softener on the towels. Everything smelled like fabric softener after using one. It was overpowering. Lastly, some of the dishes and other wares in the kitchenette were dirty when we went to use them. Other than those minor details, we had a very good time and would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed proximity to beach

We enjoyed this place, we ended up with a very loud family in the rental next to/above us. This woke us up very early both days we stayed here. I'm guessing this was just a fluke and doesn't happen often. Other than that we were happy with our stay!
