Location is nearby to shops, cafes, and right next to the beach!But it is also very loud, steps away from a main road, bus stop, and within the complex it’s next to the elevator, entrance, and pool. There there is non stop noise.The unit itself is okay- washer/dryer, dishwasher, comfy furniture.But it was NOT clean. Old food crumbs, sand, dirt… the pull out sofa bed was disgusting and there were BEDBUGS in the main bedroom.We are going home covered in bites. Terrible.Will never stay here again.

What a great stay!

The condo was nice for just me and my partner. The microwave didn't work and the toilet was non stop running, but everything else was great.

Worked out great

Good unit!

The condo is in a great location, and communication with the property manager was super easy. Overall the condo is very clean and had everything we needed, however some updates/upgrades would definitely make the unit more desireable. We were here for a short stay and would love to stay again - mahalo for a great visit.

My favorite location on Maui

This is my favorite location on Maui. The condo was nice and clean. Probably won’t stay on the ground floor again. The amount of foot traffic makes the condo noisy. Definitely will book here again though.

Love Maui Vista!

Very happy with the condo. It was what we expected, based on the VRBO description. This is our 4th or 5th stay at Maui Vista. Love the location, pool, and beach access. The unit could stand some updating, but we knew that going in. And then it would have cost more...so we're OK with how it was! This unit has the BEST access to the pool, parking, and Charley Young beach.

Great stay for a good price

Yes it’s a bit old and outdated. But the location is excellent and everything you need is there ….so much better than a hotel! Clever job on the fridge by the way! The only problem we had was a running toilet and maintenance did not respond to us. We just turned the water off and on to deal with it ( you are welcome).

This condo is in a great location!

We have stayed several times at this complex. It is conveniently located across from Charlie Young Beach. The condo we stayed in was clean and comfortable. I advise future bookers to review all the additional fees added by the owner which show up on the last page before booking. Hawaii has seen a steep increase in the cost of living, so I understand. However, they should replace the missing window slats in the bedroom and check on their patio furniture, which may have been “borrowed” by someone. Overall, I was satisfied and we had a great stay and the condo was true to the advertising. I would stay there again.

Carpet

Carpet appears very dirty. Shade in bedroom window is missing slats. Drier vent has hole in it and sends air back into kitchen. Rust on side of fridge is unappetizing. Tile were spotless and has all needed utensils.

Needs improvements !

This property needs major upgrades. Tub, taps not working, carpet stains, needs another chair n living room , bedding’s needs replacing. Only 3 bath towels Major item missing was umbrella in lanai table, the directions it faces you need umbrella to enjoy lanai. Also misinng 2 patio chairs (these were shown in ad pictures ) We liked the location of this condo but it needs some work .

Maui Vista 1114

We had a party of 6 people with three different units. The units my children stayed in was very nice and clean. On the other hand the unit we stayed in wasn't very clean and the pictures they use online to rent the room must have been when the unit first started, cause the room was run down. Curtains were stained and falling off the rail, carpet looks bad, blinds in the bedroom is missing panels, the bathroom didn't look very clean and the refrigerator is very rusty. Either the pictures online showing the property needs to be updated to reflect the way the unit looks now or the unit needs an upgrade.

What happened to Maui?

This condo is in a good location. That’s about the only good thing about it. The ac is as far away from the bed as possible and the ac unit is much to small to cool that space. We ended up bringing the mattress into the living room and sleeping on the floor. Even just a 30 dollar shower head from Amazon would help this place it was dirty and full of bugs. But what was worse was how dirty Maui was. I have been going to Maui for 20 years and never see. The island like this. Garbage everywhere, diapers on the beach, tons of aggressive pan handlers. Even the service we received at the 20 or so restaurants was pretty poor. We won’t be going back anytime soon

Decent location, not very private

Our condo was very nice, we enjoyed the lanai and easy access to the beach and S Kihei Road. However there was not much privacy, maintenance vehicles would park in front of our patio, bedroom window felt like you were right in the hallway with people walking by. The main issue was the shower water pressure, it was non existent. That is awful when you are going to the beach and want to wash your hair after, not everyone wants to shower in the pool outdoor shower which is cold. Also, not enough hooks in the bathroom to dry towels and bathing suits. Loved that there is a dishwasher and laundry in the unit. If I stayed at this condo complex again, probably would request a more private unit with better water pressure. And, there is a pool, but it is so small, we stayed at a much smaller condo complex with a much larger pool on a different segment of the trip. Staff was very helpful and nice.

Pro’s Across the street from great beaches Close to everything - location is excellent Clean Comfortable bed Quiet, well maintained complex Plenty of parking Washer /Dryer, Dishwasher Air Conditioning Tennis courts Security friendly and present Beach chairs, umbrella and snorkel gear for one child and one adult Con’s People walking around outside of the bedroom window can be fully heard when talking - woke us up a couple of nights Air conditioning doesn’t reach bedroom well Place is tired and needs a Reno Sheets and towels not great - musty towels and itchy sheets, cheap polyester comforter Sofa was very uncomfortable Limited channels on tv Internet a bit slow. Connection poor in bedroom Does not accept packages for delivery Woman in on site office was not friendly nor helpful Despite the above Con’s, found the place comfortable and spacious, and above all loved the location. Wouldn’t say it was budget, when you add all of the taxes and fees in, it’s not cheap. Would we stay here again? Most likely not, now that we have seen the island and know where we would stay.

Find Other Properties

Honestly, didn’t enjoy the property. We have stayed in Maui multiple times in condos of far better quality and a less expensive price. Did not appear the same as advertised photos. Very dingy and some areas were not clean. Appeared to have animal stains on the carpets, the curtains were stained and could tell they have not been washed in some time. Outside chairs were torn and wore out. In comparison to other condos we’ve rented there was few spices and condiments. We were supplied with 1.5 rolls of toilet paper and 4 dishwasher pods for a two week stay. Not stocked well for travellers. In other condos we have stayed in there have been beach chairs, coolers and umbrellas to use. This property did not have anything. We had to go out and buy chairs, an umbrella and a cooler to all be left behind. Overall, not super pleased with the stay and will find other properties in the future.

We will share your review with our rental manager, housekeeper, and the owner in order to fix the issues you mentioned. As for beach gear, it is not required for our condos and can be a liability for the owner. We also stock the unit with a starter kit of items such as toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, etc. After the initial starter items are gone, it is up to the guest to provide any more items needed for the stay. Again, we are sorry your stay in the condo was not positive. We do have many more condos in the Kihei area and would love to find you the perfect one for your next visit!

Great location, convenient to the beach!

All went well. Suite shows its age since renovations. Some simple maintenance has been neglected, regular cleaning left behind dirty dishes, carpet and walls. Linen was clean and fresh. So convenient to a fabulous beach, love the building and location. Management was responsive to calls throughout booking, stay and post-vacation. An email prior to arrival noted that the friendly price was related to the age of unit since last Renovation. Rental was contingent on acceptance of age conditions which we accepted. This is a great unit, but the home-improvement guy in me wanted to get to work on a few maintenance items! Thanks for renting this unit to us, we really enjoyed being on vacation there.

Sound from the hallway would enter through the bedroom windows. Sounded like people were in our room

The location is great. Right next to a beautiful beach with great views. Very close walking distance to popular bars and restaurants. Some things about the suite we noticed was the sound that would enter in through the bedroom which was facing the corridor right outside the main office on the first floor. As well as some blinds missing from the bedroom window which allowed light to creep in.

Clean well cared for grounds and buildings. Very nice. Security was top-notch and staff pleasant. The clothes dryer needs to be thoroughly cleaned and reconnected properly wifi slow
