There were definitely good and bad things about this apartment. First the good:
The location can't be beat. You can absolutely walk everywhere in Cannes from this apartment. Step outside the corridor and you have many restaurants and cafés at your fingertips, and the bustling market is right outside the door.
The apartment was comfortable for two, but four would be a stretch, and six would be ridiculous.
It was well-stocked with essential plates, cups, and cutlery.
The bad parts, however, are fairly significant.
The apartment is located right across from the busy market, which runs every day. The apartment is in a courtyard that is rather echo-y, so every morning, at 4:30am, when the market vendors come to retrieve their market essentials (stands, booths, cooking implements, etc.) that are on VERY SQUEAKY METAL WHEELS, the sound echos through the courtyard, and directly into the apartment. There was NO mention of this in the description. If we had known that we would be awoken every morning at 4:30am to the very LOUD sounds of folks setting up for the market, talking, smoking, etc., we would not have rented this apartment. Even with the windows closed and earplugs, we were jarred awake every morning. The market setup goes on for a while, too, so there is a lot of noise for a long time.
The door locks were also quite difficult. I would recommend changing them to something easier to use. But really, the biggest problem was the noise.
