À propos de cet hébergement

Casa Nestore is a traditional stone farmhouse set in the green valleys of Umbria, close to Umbria’s capital Perugia and Assisi. The smaller towns of Tavernelle, Marsciano, and Lake Trasimeno are just a short drive through the “Green Heart of Italy”.

Our vision at Casa Nestore was to restore an old farmhouse with apartments keeping the traditional Umbrian style but adding a modern touch to bathrooms and kitchens giving a classic feel to the property but with the functionality of modern living. We have achieved this by combing traditional local builders and craftsmen and with the help of top London architect, Ian Wylie, who also owns a traditional villa in Italy and has many years of experience in this field.

Casa Nestore is based around the original shape and style of the existing farmhouse and boasts outstanding views of the surrounding woods and farmland. Our aim is to provide a quality service now and in the future to all our visitors and to ensure that they enjoy a happy and peaceful stay.

Appartement FICO très confortable, décoré avec soin, piscine idéale pour les enfants

Séjour très agréable. L’appartement est très bien ventilé (moustiquaire à chaque fenêtre), literie de qualité, er bien équipé la piscine est idéale pour les enfants. Bon accueil et conseils du propriétaire sur les environs.

Superbe séjour en Ombrie !

Nous avons passé 15 jours en août avec nos 2 enfants de 9 et 13 ans dans l’appartement FICO qui correspond en tous points à la description et aux photos. Nous avons été magnifiquement accueillis par Nick et Mandi qui ont été des hôtes prévenants et attentionnés tout au long de notre séjour. L’appartement, meublé avec goût, était très propre et suffisamment équipé en dépit des contraintes liées au Covid. L’auvent, à l’ombre la journée et joliment illuminé le soir, est très appréciable ; il nous a permis de prendre tous nos repas et de passer d’agréables soirées à l’abri des regards. Le fait qu’il n’y ait qu’un seul autre logement occupé par deux personnes nous a permis de profiter tranquillement de la grande piscine, nettoyée quotidiennement par Nick. La Casa Nestore est enfin un bon point de départ pour découvrir l’Ombrie. Nous recommandons cette location sans hésitation !

Excellentes vacances

Très bon séjour chez Nick et Mandy ou l accueil est chaleureux et les propriétaires avenants. Tout est fait pour qu’on se sente bien en respectant notre intimité. Des vacances reposantes dans un cadre calme et verdoyant. Les équipements correspondent parfaitement aux photos sur le site

Alles top!

Wir haben 10 wunderbare Tage in der Casa Nestore im wunderschönen Umbrien verbracht. Die Gastgeber Nick und Mandi bereiteten uns einen herzlichen Empfang mit frischen Croissants, Blumen und Getränken. Die Ferienwohnung ist im klassisch-ländlichen Stil gehalten, von innen aber sehr modern, sehr sauber und praktisch eingerichtet. Wir fühlten uns gleich sehr wohl dort. Die eigene Terrasse, der Pool und die Terrasse um den Pool ließen keine Wünsche offen. Unsere Kinder hatten unglaublich viel Spaß im und um den Pool herum – sie wurden sogar noch mit Urlaubslektüre und Lego versorgt und unser Sohn verbrachte einige Zeit auf dem BMX-Rad, das extra für ihn noch hervor geholt wurde. Die Lage der Ferienwohnung selbst bietet viele Gelegenheiten, die schönen Städte und Dörfer Umbriens zu erkunden und auch bis zum Lago di Trasimeno ist es nicht allzu weit. Insgesamt können wir nur positiv von unserem Aufenthalt in Castiglione della Valle sprechen! Wir danken Nick und Mandi für die tolle Zeit! Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen und wären gut und gerne noch deutlich länger dort geblieben. Beim nächsten Mal…!

Wunderbare Unterkunft bei ebenso wunderbaren Gastgebern

Wunderschön und ruhig gelegene Ferienwohnung mit überdachtem Parkplatz direkt auf dem Grundstück. Nick und Mandy haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen mit einem schönen Blumenstrauß, einem an uns persönlich gerichteten Brief, kühlem Sekt und vielen Leckereien für ein entspanntes Frühstück mit Blick auf den tollen Pool! Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Handtücher waren in mehr als ausreichender Zahl vorhanden und sogar Poolhandtücher wurden uns zur Verfügung gestellt. Der äußerst gepflegte Pool hat genau die richtige Größe um zu schwimmen, aber auch um mit den Kindern zu toben und zu plantschen. Nick hat ihn jeden Tag gründlich gereinigt und nachts abgedeckt, damit unsere Kinder morgens gleich in den angenehm warmen Pool springen konnten! Nick hat unseren Kindern sogar noch Wasserspritzpistolen und Luftmatratzen für den Pool gebracht! Nachts war der Pool und der Bereich um die Ferienwohnung stimmungsvoll beleuchtet und dank der bereitgestellten Antimücken-Spirale ließ es sich auch abends wunderbar draußen sitzen. Wir konnten uns vollkommen ungestört bewegen und doch waren Nick und Mandy jederzeit sofort zur Stelle wenn wir sie gebraucht haben. Wir bedanken uns bei Nick und Mandy für eine wunderbare Zeit bei ihnen und freuen uns bald wieder ihre Gäste sein zu dürfen!!Wir können die tolle Unterkunft nur wärmstens empfehlen und wünschen Nick und Mandy weiterhin alles Gute!

Großartig! Wirklich sehr empfehlenswert! Der Aufenthalt hier hat unsere Erwartungen von Anfang bis E

Casa Nestore befindet sich in Umbrien in schönster Lage. Das Haus ist sehr gut eingerichtet und es ist angenehm dort zu verbleiben. Wenn wir ankamen standen u.a. Blumen und Wein in der Wohnung . Auch war alles bis ins letzte Detail gründlich gereinigt. Auch im Juli war es – auch wenn es 30°C war - angenehm im Haus oder auf der Terrasse im Schatten zu verweilen. Außerdem erreicht man in wenigen Schritten den schönen Swimmingpool mit Sonnenliegen (sowohl in der Sonne als auch im Schatten). In der Umgebung gibt es vieles zu entdecken. Perugia ist sicherlich einen Besuch wert. Auch das Lago di Trasimeno ist nicht weit entfernt. Wir besuchten weiterhin auch noch Spoleto und Rom (2 Stunden mit dem Auto). Wir danken die Inhaber Mandy und Nick für ihre Gastfreundschaft . Sie waren immer sehr Hilfsbereit (zum Beispiel wenn wir weitere Informationen brauchten oder die Waschmaschine benutzen wollten) . Wir hatten noch weiter Pläne (wie Teilnahme an einer Weinprobe), das werden wir ein anderes Mal machen, da wir irgendwann nochmal wiederkommen werden. Geweldig! Dit is echt een aanrader! Het verblijf hier heeft onze verwachtingen zeker overtroffen. Casa Nestore ligt op een mooie locatie op het platteland in Umbrië. Het is een schitterende plek. Het huis is bijzonder goed ingericht en prettig om te verblijven. Het was bij onze aankomst tot in de puntjes schoongemaakt. Verder stond er voor ons o.a. een bos bloemen en fles wijn ter verwelkoming klaar. Zelfs in juli was het binnen in het huisje en ook op het terras in de schaduw goed toeven en met een paar passen bereik je het prachtige zwembad met ligbedden in zon of schaduw. In de omgeving is veel te ontdekken. Perugia is zeer zeker een bezoek waard. Ook het Lago di Trasimeno is niet ver weg. Wij hebben ook nog Spoleto bekeken en zijn een dag naar Rome geweest (2 uur met de auto). Verder alle lof voor Mandy en Nick voor de gastvrijheid en hulpvaardigheid als we bv informatie nodig hadden. We hadden nog meer plannen (bv naar een wijnproeverij gaan), dat gaan we nog een andere keer doen, want we gaan vast nog wel een keer terug.

Mooie, nette vakantiewoning met oprechte gastheer- en vrouw, met heerlijk zwembad.

We werden heel hartelijk ontvangen door Nick en Mandy die hun gasten oprecht een aangenaam verblijf wensen. Een fles prosecco en fruitsap voor de kinderen, te vinden in de frigo, draagt daar natuurlijk toe bij! Het huis is heel netjes en elk raam voorzien van muggennetten, wat een aangenaam extraatje is. Nick draagt heel veel zorg voor het heerlijk grote zwembad waar je gerust baantjes kan trekken of gewoon een balletje gooien met de kinderen. Kortom een heel aangenaam verblijf in een rustige, mooie omgeving, verzorgd door mensen die hun gasten een echt mooi verblijf toewensen.

Geweldig!

Wij hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in Casa Nestore (Fico). Wat een prachtige plek! Nick en Mandi hebben de appartementen gebouwd en ingericht met veel oog voor detail. Hun enorme gastvrijheid maakt dat je je meteen thuis voelt. Ook het zwembad is helemaal geweldig, wij hebben er heel wat uurtjes in doorgebracht. De omgeving is prachtig met veel mooie plaatsen binnen handbereik. Wij vonden Perugia een fijne verrassing en Lago Trasimeno is een verademing, wat een rust. Zelfs Rome is prima te doen voor een dagje (2 uurtjes rijden). Umbrië is zeker zo mooi als Toscane maar een stuk rustiger, wat best fijn is in het hoogseizoen. Wij hebben enorm genoten en kunnen Case Nestore van harte aanraden!

Relaxed stay in wonderful surroundings

This was our second stay at Casa Nestore Holiday Apartments and again we came away very happy (and relaxed). We stayed in the Fico apartment this time round, which is stunning. The whole apartment is very well appointed with quality fixtures and fittings throughout and feels very airy / cool with its traditional high vaulted ceilings. All of the rooms are spacious and have views of either the large pool area or stunning countryside, there are plenty of power / USB charge points to keep all those gadgets topped up. Outside of the apartment itself is a covered terrace with table and chairs which provided an escape from the sun and heat when we weren’t lapping it up by the pool! The location is excellent, just over 2 hours from Rome if flying in to Fiumicino. For those flying from the London area Stanstead flights arrive direct into Perugia which is only 30 mins away. Lots to see and do around the area with walks, mountain bike trails and lakes close by (not to mention the stunning Umbrian countryside). The village itself benefits from a really good local café / bar and a more recent addition in a new restaurant, both of which are very well priced and the staff are incredibly friendly. Nick, Mandi (along with their son Isaac) were again amazing hosts, they really welcome you in and make you feel at home. If you are stuck for ideas as to what to do, where to go they have excellent knowledge of the area and are more than happy to point you in the right direction. We’ll certainly be heading back to Casa Nestore Holiday Apartments again in the near future!

Everything you need for a "do as much as you like" break.

The apartment was impeccable, the pool is right outside the door, as is the relaxing sunbathing terrace. The surrounding area is what you'd expect from beautiful Italian countryside, peaceful, pretty towns and villages, and off the main tourist trail. Eating out is great value, and in our experience great quality, and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in close driving distance - from pizzas to more upmarket options. We've already recommended the place to friends.

Lovely Base to Explore Umbria

Casa Nestore is a wonderfully restored property with two new apartments for rent, all set in wonderful Umbrian countryside. We stayed in the two-bedroom Fico apartment with our two boys in August 2017. The apartment is modern, spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything that you are likely to need. The fantastic pool is accessible from the Fico’s private terrace and the sun loungers provide an excellent opportunity to kick back and relax amongst the beautiful landscape surrounding Castiglione della Valle. Lake Trasimeno is only 15 mins drive from the apartment and offers a wide range of water sports and lakeside restaurants. Perugia, the main historic town in the region is 20km from the apartment and reachable by car or by using the fully automated monorail system. The countryside around the apartment offers beautiful, peaceful walks through woodland, fields and the local village of Castiglione. The friendly English owners (Nick and Mandy) are on site and are very helpful in providing advice and help if needed. A fantastic, relaxing stay - we would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a base to explore the beautiful Umbrian countryside.

Relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings

We stayed at Casa Nestore at the end of July. Nick & Mandi were very accommodating to our needs, and even replaced one of the single beds with a travel cot for our youngest. We had a disaster with our rental car, which put our ETA back 2 hours, however they stayed up to greet us, and show us everything in the apartment (at 2am)! The breakfast basket is a lovely and very helpful trust, especially if you aren't arriving until late evening. The apartment is situated in a lovely location, and we found it easy to navigate around the village, to the local shops and bar. The welcome booklet provides a ton of information about places to visit, which made getting out and about much easier! We were blown away with our accommodation, beautifully spacious inside, and plenty of room outside for the children to play around the pool (and for me to sunbathe)! It includes a TV, and stacks of DVDs to watch. There was plenty of towels & bedding (not that we needed that in 39 degree heat)! & we were also provided with fans for the apartment. We had a lovely stress free stay, in a beautiful part of Italy.

A wonderfull stay

Had a wonderful week in Casa nestore. The apartment is completely overwhelming and very clean. A lovely large swimming pool where our son is fine in has entertained. Fantastic owners, which give you the feeling of real holiday. A quiet area, excellent restaurants in the neighborhood. An absolute must.!!
