A great holiday

The accommodation is wonderfully located in the countryside of Umbria. You have an incredibly beautiful view. Many different seating options (pool, BBQ, dining area) allow for a nice change. Simply perfect for both children and adults! I would definitely recommend this place and would go there again.

Beautiful scenery you could look at all day.

Beautiful setting looking out over countryside and pretty village with Bell tower. Pool incredibly clean and big enough for teenagers. House was clean and well presented. Host was available via whatsapp for any information needed. Good location for touring. We did a day trip to Rome.

A beautiful countryhouse in the sweet Umbrian landscape

For our long weekend in Umbria, I chose to pick this beautiful apartment in a countryside villa. In front of us the shiny view of Morcella, a small jewel of a village socketed on a hill in the middle of the sweet, green and peaceful landscape, with the Nestore river at walking distance. The villa is in a good position to visit Perugia, Assisi, Deruta and Todi, all within 30-35 minutes by car. A special mention to our hosts Silvia, Giuseppina and Franco, for their kindness and support. It was a special stay.

Oasis

Even before we arrived I knew we were in good hands and had made a great choice and we weren't disappointed. We were greeted by the lovely owners and were looked after, so much so we joined in their family celebration for the end of Summer. So many highlights but for me the view from the property just waking up to it, sitting in the pool and looking at it whilst we ate of an evening was to savour. Highly recommend the property, Umbria and the lovely people.

Excellent property

We had a lovely holiday. Such a peaceful setting with welcoming and helpful hosts. The property was easy to find and communication from hosts was excellent. It's a very comfortable property with a lovely clean pool and plenty of space outdoors to relax. Easy to get to numerous beautiful towns and villages and easy for a day trip to Rome. Good facilities in the house and good WiFi. Would highly recommend. Thanks.

quiet, peaceful retreat

We were warmly and generously welcomed at the lovely apartment. Our welcome pack included their own wine and enough fruit and vegetables for the whole week. So kind and friendly. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. It was well situated for visiting the best places in Umbria and there was a great swimming pool to relax by when we got back. Definitely recommend to a friend.

Seclusion, countryside comfort, close to everything

Our stay was 10 days. Can’t say enough about the fantastic and caring owners. This place is beautifully appointed, close enough to town for any shopping needs, away enough for the quiet with the medieval town of Morcella across a small valley. Beautiful views and everything you need to relax, cook ( which we ended up doing the majority of the time as we enjoyed just hanging out), and getting wonderful sleep ( we had the doors open to the front patio at night with a wonderful breeze). If it’s hot , take a dip in the pool! Sylvia ( the property manager) is very attentive to your concerns, prompt in responses, very very helpful with sights to see and places to experience. It is centrally located so you can make day trips by car to Assisi, Spello, Spoleto, Terni, Orvieto, Sienna and countless other places. We felt very lucky to have stayed here !! And we’ll be back again!!

Paradise in Umbria

This place is the life's work of Giuseppina and Franco with the help of their daughter Silvia. It is their paradise. They have 1 apartment for guests on the ground floor and they live on the upper floor. The site is located on a hill with a fantastic view of the old medieval village of Morcella and the surrounding hills. It is very quiet there. The sounds you hear are from the church bell in Morcella, mowers or tractors on the fields on the other hills, or the various animals (chickens, a goat, 2 dogs) that Giuseppina and Franco have. Franco and Giuseppina are very humble. Occasionally they would bring fruit or vegetables from their own vineyard and vegetable garden, but otherwise we didn't see them much. They also did not use the various seating areas in the garden while we were there. The entire site with its various sitting areas was completely at our disposal. There are two dogs, one small and one large. If the tenant is okay with them walking around the property, they will occasionally drop by for a pat on the head. We especially enjoyed having them around us every now and then. The garden has been designed with great care by Giuseppina and Franco. We could see that they have a great passion for roses, even though not all roses were in bloom in September. On the grounds of Giuseppina and Franco there are various sitting areas where you look out over the area from a different perspective each time. A few meters in front of the house is a nice covered sitting area with a spacious dining table where you can sit well out of the sun, but can also sit during rain. The view is equally beautiful everywhere. The swimming pool is a nice place to jump in every now and then and cool off, with a view at the same time. Attached to the house is a roof where you can also sit dry. The communication in English was through Silvia, by calling or whatsap. She speaks excellent English, but lives abroad. But she always responded immediately to questions from us. For example, she arranged for us to have her mother make a reservation for us at a nearby agriturismo, and to have a good aperitivo somewhere in Marsciano. Silvia also had suggestions for the various cities to go to. The kitchen is well sorted. All kinds of kitchen appliances are at your disposal and the equipment is also very good. That is sometimes different in Italian apartments. The nice thing about the place is that you really have the feeling of living with an Italian family i

È stata davvero un' esperienza positiva. Sia Silvia sia i suoi genitori sono delle persone gentili e disponibili. Il posto è incantevole, con dei bellissimi spazi verdi dove poter trascorrere dei momenti sereni e di relax in famiglia. La casa è accogliente e pulita, le camere sono spaziose e ben arredate. La posizione è ottima per poter visitare molte città caratteristiche dell' Umbria. Nei pressi Marsciano ci sono delle buone trattorie dove mangiare cibo tipico. Siamo stati davvero bene e ci piacerebbe poterci tÈ stata davvero un' esperienza positiva. Sia Silvia sia i suoi genitori sono delle persone gentili e disponibili. Il posto è incantevole, con dei bellissimi spazi verdi dove poter trascorrere dei momenti sereni e di relax in famiglia. La casa è accogliente e pulita, le camere sono spaziose e ben arredate. Wir haben hier einen wunderschönen Urlaub verbracht. Als wir bei unserer Ankunft den steilen Hügel zum Grundstück hinauf gefahren sind, waren wir schon begeistert, vorbei an Olivenbäumen,Weinreben und der Weg gesäumt von Orleander in allen Farben. Wir wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt, herumgeführt und alles in Englisch, was uns freute, da wir kein italienisch beherrschen. Uns erwartete eine hübsch eingerichtete Ferienwohnung, welche gut ausgestattet ist. Das Highlight ist der traumhaft gestaltete Garten, der uns zur alleinigen Verfügung gestellt wurde, mit einem idyllischen Grillplatz, einem beschatteten großen Esstisch mit traumhafter Aussicht, kleiner Veranda vor der Wohnung sowie ein schöner Pool mit genialer Aussicht in die umbrische Landschaft mit dem Bergdorf Morcella. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen eines Tages zurück. Ein Paradies auf Erden zum Erholen und Entspannen. (übrigens,wichtig für die Jugendlichen super WLAN-Empfang)Danke an Silvia und ihre Familie, sie haben sich im Hintergrund gehalten, waren aber da, wenn man Hilfe oder Unterstützung brauchte.

Fantastische locatie. Veel ruimte en rust. Schitterend uitzicht op de omgeving. Handige uitvalsbasis om Umbria te verkennen. Assisi Perugia, Todi, Orvieto en meer Trasimeno in de buurt. Heel aardige eigenaren. Je moet wel met de auto de berg op en af. Fietsen of lopen is zwaar. Prima Wifi, neem tablet of laptop mee er staat geen TV. Ga ook eten bij Oasi in Marciano.

Très bel endroit

C'est un très bel endroit pour séjourner en Ombrie. Son point fort c'est la vue magnifique sur les alentours depuis la piscine avec le charmant village de Marcella en arrière plan que je conseille d'ailleurs de visiter. La piscine en elle même conviendra parfaitement aux enfants (et aux adultes). L'appartement est très bien, fonctionnel. C'est le rez de chaussée d'une maison: On y logeait à 5. Un lit d'appoint a été ajouté dans la chambre des enfants. On a eu 3 journées très chaudes, le logement conserve assez bien la fraicheur du matin mais il n'y avait qu'un seul ventilateur. C'est le seul petit reproche qu'on peut faire. Les propriétaires habitent au 1er étage et sont d'une grande gentillesse et discretion. Malheureusement je ne parle pas italien et eux ne parlent pas anglais ni français.Je communiquais par whatsapp avec leur fille qui était à l'étranger.

Ein kleines Paradies

Hier kann man sich so richtig erholen! Ein herrlicher und gepflegter Garten mit großem Pool, eine sehr hübsche Wohnung mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und unglaublich nette Vermieter, die tatsächlich nur zu spüren sind, wenn man sie wirklich braucht. Perfekt, wenn man einerseits Ruhe genießen und doch sehr viel von dem wunderschönen Umbrien sehen möchte. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind mit dem Auto nicht weit. Wir haben uns unglaublich wohl gefühlt und überlegen, wieder zu kommen.

Le jardin d'Eden

Situé au rez de chaussée d' une maison rurale qui domine une vallée avec vue directe sur un superbe village de la campagne d'Ombrie, nous avons passé une semaine exquise dans ce logement. Les proprietaires sont discrets et disponibles, ils ont su faire de leur jardin un vrai paradis. Accueil avec apéritif et panier enorme de legumes de leur potager, quel plaisir. Parfaitement placé le logement est idéal pour découvrir les perles de la région et les villes exceptionnelles qu'elle abrite. La piscine sous les 36 degres de cette semaine de juillet 2024 etait un régal. 4 adultes, pas serrés, on peut y jouer ou y faire trempette en admirant le calme du village juste en face en repensant aux 1000 choses admirées dans la journée. Merci à la famille de nous avoir si bien accueillis et a leur super chien Ricky, adorable labrador audsi amical que ses maîtres. J'espère que nous reviendrons, mous ne garderons que de bons souvenirs.

Perfect home for holidays in Umbria

We had a lovely 2 weeks holiday in this home in the hills of Umbria. This is the perfect spot to visit many sites in the region. The home is easily reachable by car and has many comforts. The hosts are very nice and always helpful if needed. We could use the whole area as well as the swimming pool. There is a very nice view and calm all around you.

Ein traumhafter Ort

Perfekt, perfekt, perfekt:) Die Örtlichkeit, der Ausblick, die Ruhe. Einer der besten Plätze um sich zu erholen und gleichzeitig Platz und Raum für das spielen mit Kindern bzw in unseren Fall, für Aktivitäten mit unserem Sohn 17 Jahre. Schach spielen in der Pergola ( traumhaft), Badminton, Schwimmen etc. Wir fühlten uns wie auf eigenem Anwesen:) Geräumige Zimmer, voll ausgestattete Küche und ein schönes Badezimmer, machten unseren Aufenthalt um so angenehmer. Die Vermieter sehr herzlich, entgegenkommend und hilfsbereit. Als ich Sonnenalergie bekam, kümmerte sich unsere Gastgeberin mit Aloe aus dem Garten um mein Wohlbefinden!!!! Dankeschön. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in 14 Minuten erreichbar ( Auto) Restaurants und Bars ebenso. Ein Ausflug wert ist Perugia und Assisi. Hierzu kann ich nur sagen WOW. Normaal appartement op mooie lokatie op een heuvel, geen klimaat controle dus de ramen open ook lekker. Maar helaas hebben de eigenaren 2 neurotische honden die blaffen als hobby hebben en dit dan vooral 'snachts, heb hierover contact gehad met de eigenaresse werd nogal makkelijk over gedaan geen probleem. Conclusie wilt u 's nachts rustig slapen ga er dan niet naar toe het scheelt een hoop ergernis!!
