The community is located at the northernmost point of the well-known White Cliffs of Dover, and the beaches and cliffs in the area are a component of the Site of Special Scientific Interest that extends south to Folkestone. The nearby seaside towns of Deal, Dover, and Broadstairs provide visitors with quaint tea shops, castles, museums, heritage, and history. Deal has a pier, two weekly markets, and the Wednesday farmers market is especially well-liked by locals. With its cathedral, Roman ruins, and fantastic shopping district, Canterbury provides a well-liked day trip in the interior.
