Yew Tree Cottage is a beautifully restored 17th-century Grade II listed retreat in the heart of Yorkshire. Perfect for couples seeking a romantic escape with their four-legged friends, this charming cottage combines historic character with modern luxury.

Set in the picturesque village of Burythorpe, the cottage features a private log burning hot tub, a cosy log burner, and underfloor heating throughout—offering a warm and inviting space to unwind. Enjoy peaceful walks along nearby trails, relax by the fire, or explore the many local attractions that make this part of Yorkshire so special.

- Hot tub safety: Guests with medical conditions should consult their doctor before using the hot tub.

A superb country cottage!

My partner and I (and our dog) stayed at Gemma’s lovely cottage and we couldn’t be happier! Communication was prompt, the cottage was immaculate when we arrived and fully equipped, and the village of Burythorpe was beautiful! Highly recommend popping into the pub across the street as it was lovely. Gemma also provided several great recommendations in the guest book and we are sad that we couldn’t get to everything in our weekend stay! Would definitely come back, thanks Gemma!

What I love most is how easy it is to experience everything Yorkshire has to offer. In just 7 minutes, I can be in Malton, a bustling market town famous for its food festivals and artisan shops. York, with its medieval streets and incredible history, is only 30 minutes away, and the beaches are just a 45-minute drive. Then there’s Castle Howard and Dalby Forest nearby, both wonderful for a day out. It’s an area that’s bursting with beauty, history, and great food—and I’m so glad to call it home.

When we first saw Yew Tree Cottage, we fell in love with its charming stone front, but the inside was a wreck. The previous owner had cemented over parts of the beautiful sandstone walls and plastered over the rest. We painstakingly removed the cement and hand-grouted every stone, bringing the cottage back to life while keeping its historic character intact.

Now, every detail has been designed with comfort in mind for your stay. The original sandstone walls and wooden beams create a cosy, authentic atmosphere, while modern touches like underfloor heating and a luxurious saltwater hot tub ensure you’ll feel pampered. Full-length folding doors open onto a private garden, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring Yorkshire.

This cottage is more than just a place to stay—it’s a unique blend of history and comfort, offering you a warm and welcoming retreat where you can unwind and feel truly at home.
