Wonderful cottage for a stay in a pretty English village/close to little grocery shop/bskery/restaurants.
Cottage was very clean & beds super comfortable.
Hovingham an ideal location to visit this delightful part of Yorkshire. Enjoyed visits to Castle Howard, Nunnington Hall and Helmsley.
Real bakery in village and well stocked shop next door made catering very easy.
Cottage cosy and well equipped.
Would be happy to return.
Fabulous 3 night stay at home cottage. Beautiful location and cottage with everything we needed for self catering. Belinda was so helpful and quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely recommend to other people.
We had a very enjoyable stay here. The property is perfectly placed to visit the area. It is very well equipped. Everything has been thought of by Belinda, who was very pleasant and easy to deal with. Would thoroughly recommend.
The property was as described and there was a lovely welcome basket waiting for us. The accommodation was comfortable and well appointed. The village of Hovingham had everything we neeeded and the people were all so friendly.
A gorgeous well equipped cottage in the most perfect location for visiting North Yorkshire! Clean, tidy and very well equipped the cottage had everything you could need and more. We had a lovely stay and the owners couldn't be more helpful. Plenty of lovely restaurants and pubs within a short drive, bike ride or brisk walk - including a couple of Michelin star ones too! We had a lovely week and hope to be back one soon.
Very well equipped, beautifully furnished, lovely bed linens etc. Really nice spot in the centre of the village, 1 minute walk to the Worsley Arms hotel bar and a village shop next door but one. Very warm and welcoming property, pretty much everything had been thought of including a lovely welcome basket. Lots of pots and pans, utensils, etc.
We loved every minute of the actual stay, including a little trip up the road to the beautiful Castle Howard. Would definitely recommend this for a quiet country stay.
Hovingham is a great location, close to lots of historic houses and towns and in the midst of beautiful countryside. And with a village shop next door, open almost all hours and selling seemingly everything you might need. The village market on the first Saturday of the month was a gem - especially the cake stall and the local butcher.
The house was v comfortable, with an excellent kitchen and pantry - even has a freezer. Belinda was v helpful, sending on a tablet connector I'd left behind in the main bedroom.
We thoroughly recommend the cottage.
So many great things about this cottage. Great location, interesting layout, convenient dishwasher and laundry. But, unfortunately the second hand smoke was disgusting when we arrived. Belinda had the beautiful drapes cleaned. That helped but didnât remove the smell. Belinda stopped communicating with us. The village is charming and we were able to take many day trips.
We all loved in our stay in this lovely Yorkshire village, the accommodation was clean and had everything in the house we required. Close to York, we would highly recommend Home cottage in hovingham
Absolutely well equipped. A clean up after one week. We've enjoyed our holidays. The girls liked their bedroom in the attic very much. Perfect holiday home near the stunning landscape of the Moors and the Howardian Hills.
A lovely cottage in a beautiful village. Everything was there for us. A lovely welcome pack was waiting, even including a treat for our dog. Although pub next door was closed there was a nice one a two minutes walk away. General store next door which had everything and a very nice bakery and cafe all situaated within minutes walk. Highly recommend this property and village. Chris Alli & Peanut
The cottage is just lovely with a very secure garden for dogs. Lots of walks straight from the doorstep and heaps to see in the area. The village of Hovingham has a wonderful bakery and village shop next door has anything you need.
Lovely cottage located so close to many towns in all directions, we squeezed so much in during our time in Hovingham ,
Castle Howard, Malton, Pickering, Bridlington, Daley Forest and Thornton Le Dale all highlights
Delightfull little cottage but the stairs to the main bedroom are a little steep. The stairs to the top, 3 x single beds, are in my opinion NOT suitable for anyone except small and very mobile people. BEWARE.
Lovely little cottage in the centre of Hovingham, located close to the pub, hotel, shop and bakery.
Cottage was very clean, everything we required and good welcome pack.
Dog friendly with very useful walk across the fields from the pub car park.
Would definitely be happy to stay again.
We loved everything about the cottage. It was cosy, equipped to a high standard and really well located in a beautiful village. We didn't want to leave!
We really enjoyed our stay the property was clean and fresh and very comfortable the twin room does have tight and quite steep stairs the may need to be considered if agility is a problem, but master and bathroom are on the first floor and is not a problem at all situated within 1hrs drive of the local attractions the moors and the coast ,and set in a lovely village with bakery, shop, and 2 pubs ,plenty of walks for dogs one starts in the car park just outside the back gate
Perfect location for visiting the whole of Yorkshire
This was our first visit to Yorkshire so the location was key as we wanted to visit the whole of Yorkshire. The cottage was lovely as was the village of Hovingham. Belinda was very easy to deal with and was very swift to respond to any questions we had.
A great choice for us and we wouldnât hesitate to return. Oh and the local Bakerâs is fantastic!
Had a great time at the cottage, very comfortable, well equipped and has all mod cons.
Communication from Belinda was great and she was even able to arrange an earlier check in which was much appreciated.
The village itself is small and well kept with great walks on the doorstep. It also has all necessary amenities: couple of pubs, shop, bakery and a mobile fish and chip van.
Thoroughly recommended, many thanks!
The cottage was really cosy, anyone bringing a dog the utility at the back entrance is a plus, and a large shower room at the back of the utility was also a bonus. The stairs to the top room were narrow but fine for the teenage girls. They had a smart TV in their room which was a bonus. Pub & grocery store to either side, Also a bakery, mobile fish & chips and mobile post office. Fantastic park in the village for little ones. Good local walks. We drove the teenage girls to Malton from there they took the train to york and Scarborough which gav
Wonderful cottage in beautiful part of the country
Lovely cottage with everything you need for a great holiday. In a beautiful village with two pubs, village shop and bakery all within a stones throw.
We had a wonderful time
