Pools were great grounds are very nice parking was never a problem beautiful place to stay. The only problem was their elevator’s one was broken so it took a long time to go upstairs people were lined up literally. If you did not have groceries or luggage you could use the stairs but that gets old when you are on the top floors

Great location, funny smell

We had a wonderful time! Great location, right on the beach. Comfy beds and comfortable stay. Only negative was the musty smell, like the condo needed to be aired out for awhile.

Great stay!

The unit was extremely clean and well maintained. Well stocked with towels and kitchen utensils and dishes. Twin beds mattresses were a little hard but ok.

It was perfect for our girls trip and was well stocked. The only thing I would recommend is having some condiments and seasonings available in the condo. The condo was very clean and while the beach was busy, it was nothing like the beaches further in town. There was plenty of space to spread out both in the condo in on the beach. Overall, it was an incredible stay, with a great location and I can’t wait to be back.

Amazing views but got stuck on the elevators

The property was nice and as advertised. The unit was clean and well stocked. The views from the patio and master were amazing! Too bad the elevators weren't working properly and we got stuck along with several others on different occasions. Otherwise was a great place to stay.

Loved it!

We loved this place! It was everything that was described while booking. Great beach location and service! We had a great time with an awesome view from the balcony. The only issue we had was the fridge door was hard to open at times. It was a very minor issue to us. Overall, I would stay here again and highly recommend this place!

Our windows and balcony were taped on e and unavailable for half of our stay. It would have been nice to be alerted of this possibility before it arrival, and given the opportunity to choose another room in the facility.

Great Trip

The Islander is a wonderful complex. Perfect location. Convenient to everything in Destin. Beautiful beach. #603 was clean, well furnished and comfy for a weeks stay for my husband, son, and mother. Outside of cooking utensils the kitchen was well equipped. Having only one spatula while trying to cook a large spread was inconvenient. Also, the kitchen shears were broken, making opening bags for cooking difficult. These were minimal oversights and wouldn’t keep me from rebooking. This was one of the best beach vacations we’ve had in a really long time and we are already making plans to return to The Islander next summer.

What a view!

We stayed the last week of October, and though our early days were a bit chilly, our last days were the perfect temperature! Either way with the temperature, in this condo, you feel you are TOTALLY getting the whole beach and Destin experience. Every morning, walking right past the balcony window and seeing that blue/green ocean is an unbeatable feeling. It's just minutes of a walk to get to the beach. We played tennis with the complimentary loan of rackets and tennis balls and daily enjoyed the hot tub and heated pool, which truly is heated with a perfect temperature. We felt like we were living the rich lifestyle having such a well furnished and decorated condo with exquisite appliances and entertainment. Hope to come back to this unit soon! Lack of upkeep

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Two years ago we stayed in this unit and I had to fix the bed on the first night of arriving. Since the front desk was closed I had no choice but to use bed sheets to support the frame from falling apart. The front desk was notified but nothing was resolved before we left. When we arrived a full year later. It was very disappointing to notice the same bed sheets holding the frame together. You should be paying me for a fix that lasted over a year. We will no longer be staying in your unit because of that. Hopefully this will motivate the owners to address the problem.

When we were on the balcony we smelled someone smoking. This kept us from setting on the balcony and seeing the fantastic view of the waves.
