Niché au milieu d'un cadre boisé avec aménagement paysager attrayant, jardins de fleurs, pont, structure de jeux en plein air et bac à sable, barbecue à gaz, et d'un foyer. Son emplacement offre calme et tranquille, mais les villages de l'île, océan, lacs, et des sentiers de randonnée du parc national Acadia sont à une courte distance en voiture. Vous pouvez nager dans l'une des plusieurs priostine à proximité des étangs, des lacs ou des ports. This cozy cabin is exactly as pictured and described. While we no longer have young children, it would be wonderful place to stay if you did. Additionally, it feels isolated in the woods, and yet you are only 10-15 minutes from Bar Harbor, carriage trails, and all the other attractions! We loved, loved, loved this cabin, and we hope to return next year despite the 18 hour drive to get to it!

We had a great at Rose and Steve’s place. This is a great place for families with small children. Place was excellent, clean, cozy and conveniently located near Acadia.

Quiet, peaceful, and great location

Central location to quickly get to hikes on both sides of Mound Desert Island. Lovely relaxing place to come back to after being out. Steve and Rose were readily available if we had any concerns (which we didn't). Definitely recommend this location.

A wonderful spot near Bar Harbor & Acadia

We loved our recent week long stay at this “cozy cabin”! We arrived to an adorable home away from home with an incredible backyard for our young kids. Having two bedrooms was very helpful for the lengthier visit and the kids had a ball! We also appreciated how centrally located we were on MDI and enjoyed exploring!

My family and I love this this cabin. It’s in a great location just minutes from downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia national park. The cabin is great for kids. It has a large backyard with a swing set, slide, and a sandbox. We can’t wait to come back.

We had one of our favorite vacation at this property! Clean, well stocked, perfect backyard for kids. The beds were comfortable, the shower had hot water and great pressure. Steve was a great host. Perfect location, 15 min drive to Acadia, Downtown Bar Harbor and restaurants

Cozy Country Cabin!

My brother and I spent the week up in MDI at Cozy Country Cabin!! The house was kept very nice and offered plenty of room and had just about everything you would need and located in very good proximity to everything the island had to offer including downtown Bar Harbor, Acadia, Southwest Harbor and all the surrounding area!! Would definitely spend another week here again!!

Nice cozy clean Cabin.

The cabin is well equipped with all this necessary to stay for a Family of 4. I regret my children grow up because the yard is great for the little ones. The place is quiet and relaxed. The only cons I can say is the parking area, a little small, one day we didn’t have to much room for parking.

Quiet lovely cabin in the woods

Our stay was exactly what we hoped for when booked. The property is quiet, with no traffic. The cabin was spotlessly clean,and very comfortable due to having an air conditioner. It had all of the linens you need. The outside area is a kids paradise with a jungle gym, teepee, there is a fire pit. We didn't have young kids with us, but if we had they would have loved it. This is the perfect place to stay as long as you are content to have to drive everywhere, it really isn't walking or even biking distance to much.

Amazing playground, great central location

My husband and I traveled with our 2 young kids. The backyard playground was perfect for them! It’s the main reason we chose this house and it exceeded expectations. The cabin was clean and had all the basics we needed for our stay. The location is great to explore all of MDI. We never had to drive more than 20 mins, whether we headed to downtown bar harbor or explored the quietside. And the cabin is just over a mile from Town Hill which has a market and a couple dining options. Check in was easy. The cabin was as expected based on the listing photos. And the owners were very responsive to communication!

Perfect Location and A-MAZ-ING Backyard for Kids

The location couldn't be more perfect to access all that MDI has to offer. It made it possible to start the day later or even come back for a break in the afternoon between activities. It was close to everything, but back enough in the woods that you really felt like you were away from it all. The backyard is incredible if you have children. Our daughters loved the different swings, sandbox, and places to climb. The pictures don't do it justice. Rose and Steve are kind and welcoming. They are there to offer any help you may need, but they are not intrusive. The place is super clean, with comfortable beds and an upgraded bathroom. It's just enough space for what you may need. They do only have a loveseat, so we brought those small couch/chairs for our two girls (3 and 5), so that we could all have space to relax. We wouldn't hesitate to book and stay again.

Excited to return each year...

We have stayed at Cozy Cabin 2 times now and are now planning to come back again for the third. We have three young children and the cabin is wonderful for enjoying the area. Though small, it is well stocked and pretty. The location makes it easy to get to the Park, or into Bar Harbor, and its proximity to Echo Lake is great on a hot day with antsy kids. All three kids can sleep comfortably in one bedroom (two in a full bed and one in a single) and they love it's campy atmosphere, with plank ceilings and white paper lanterns for lights. The other bedroom is large with beautiful windows, giving it the atmosphere of sleeping outside. The cabin has great outdoor areas for sitting, eating, playing and last year there was even a bunny to go visit. The bathroom is pretty utilitarian, which is fine for us, but if you want a fancy tub, look elsewhere. The owners, when on site, are warm and friendly, and very accommodating. Overall, it's a lovely spot, equally great as a home-base for day-trips, or to just hang-out in a wooded spot on the deck with the grill fired up. We hope to keep coming back as much as we can! Highly recommended.

Great family friendly stay

We had a lovely time. Great central location on the island. Pretty much 20 to 30 mins from everything. Our young son loved the backyard! Sand box, play ground, and lots of yard toys! The cabin is just the right size for a small family. The only things to note, are that it is small and one of the rooms has 2 large doors that open to the living room. These can be closed, but they have large glass panels so getting that room dark while being in the rest of the cabin is hard. Also the heat source for that room is in the main part of the cabin. So it's a little tricky with a little who naps/goes to be early. The kitchen was lacking a few things, no sponges to wash dishes (had to buy at the store), only 2 "sharp" knives (a steak knife and a serrated bread knife) and one pan. The owners are friendly but do live on the property as well as another rental property. Also there seems to be a childcare/school at the owners house as when we arrived there were cars coming and going and lots of kids around. Which didn't end up being a big deal, but would have been nice to know. I would stay again, but come better prepared with curtains and my own knives.

Per your suggestion for the kitchen we've purchased new sharp kitchen knives, assorted sponges, and taken care of light control for the smaller bedroom. At our home we provide art classes for young children one or two afternoons a week so that is why there was some traffic in the shared drive and parking. Regards, Steve

Stay at cozy cabin

Stay in the cabin was wondering. Perfect little spot to get away for a long weekend with our family. Our 2 year old LOVED the play scape and sand box in the yard. There was plenty of bed space for us as well. 10/10 would rent here again!
