We came in late but it was no problem for Manuela who met us and patiently answered everyone's questions after giving us the overview of the apartment. Communication with the owners of this place was excellent. The neighborhood is lovely and we had our best meal in Rome at La Carbonara which was recommended by Manuela. Rome is definitely overrun with tourists and while still a tourist destination, our little neighborhood in Monti was a welcome relief from the busy-ness of central Rome. Rome is so beautiful but tourists need to be more respectful of the city and its people.
We give the apartment a 10 out of 10 without reservation. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.
Bottom line, this place met our needs and delighted us in some ways if not all. Highlight was the Monti location, close to so much--sites, food, drink, transport--on a quiet street/building. I can recommend it as an easy, welcoming, functional base if you donât seek upscale or want to lounge in a common area as a group.
Other likes: easy, helpful check-in (thank you, Manuela!), comfy beds in a quiet 2BR w an extra bed, wifi, & decent rates for Rome. Cleaning seemed fine. Good AC: the apartment managed to stay cool despite hot weather. We appreciated touches like coffee, tea, etc.
Cons for us: Itâs a basement apartment wo much natural light or much of a comfy living area to hang out--not so important if youâre on the go day into eve. Despite the fun & upbeat art and bright feel in the photos, the apartment felt gloomy and could use some renovation (looking at you, shower grout).
Tips: My fave drink in Rome was from Cabaret Voltaire Roma, a small, artsy place just down the street with a lovely host who cared about making a drink we would enjoy. For a bustling piazza vibe, pop down to p della Madonna for a snack or aperitivo.
We enjoyed the space very much. Manuela was very helpful in providing us with recommendations, especially as it was difficult for my mother to walk far. We took taxis for that reason, and found this worked well in Rome. The apartment was comfortable for our family. There are stairs up and a flight down to this lower level apartment. There isnt a lot of natural light, but the place is decorated well. Comfortable beds, good Air Conditioning, we would come back if we return to Rome!
Location was super for walking to historic sites and closeness to main station for regional and local trains (Termini). Communication and checkin process from Manuela was commendable - easy, frequent touch points to get settled in, tons of good suggestions.
We loved our stay at the Colosseum lovely apartment! The host Adriano was so gracious and helpful. He showed us around the apartment and explained everything to us (how to adjust the A/C, the wifi password, etc.) He even sent us dinner recommendations. The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. There were many added touches, like a bottle of water and beer for us in the fridge.
The location was great and close to so much by foot. I would highly recommend this apartment.
