Beautiful cottage in a peaceful/tranquil location and was greeted with a smile and a variety of delicious Cornish goodies on arrival which we thoroughly enjoyed. Owners couldnât do enough to make sure our stay was as pleasant as possible, very friendly and welcoming people. Great/prompt communication throughout our stay. Cottage was immaculate. We loved the animals as well, especially the kids! Cannot fault anything. Highly recommend. Thank you.
Beautiful, relaxing & comfortable place to stay in Cornwall
We had a great experience at the cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Everything was in a great condition and being surrounded by such beautiful countryside setting was truly relaxing. It was easy to check in and everyone we met during our stay was very helpful and friendly. We thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay when visiting Cornwall.
Lovely cottage right on the moors.
The place was very clean with everything we could need for our stay.
Mick and Janine were lovely hosts, greeted us when we arrived and gave us tips about the area.
We found it was a great base to explore lots of Cornwall, 20 mins to the coast and less than 1.5 hours to St Michaels mount.
Perfect getaway in the countryside.
Thank you so much!
A lovely cottage with views over roof tops to the surrounding moors from the upstairs living area. The log burner was a treat, especially with unseasonally cold weather. Great for touring- Bodmin Moor on the doorstep (literally); the Eden Project, north coast and south coast all within easy reach. Major supermarkets etc available in Bodmin (approx 15 mins drive) and a well stocked shop in the village.
Enjoyed our stay at Brock cottage, very attractive cottage and location, not to far to travel to visit various locations, and very picturesque on route ,ponies roaming free around nearby, felt like we really had a break from normal routine
Everything necesssry for a self catering holiday. Well equipped and very clean. Friendly owners.
Beautiful little cottage in a peaceful setting. Brenda and Ross were very friendly and welcoming. Ideal location for getting to and from places with the added bonus of nearby local pub (excellent Sunday carvery) and well stocked local shop. Would definitely return.
This is a lovely little property. Well kept with everything you could need. We could visit lots of places within 40 mins drive. Polzeath being a fave. Port issac was great for eating out and the local pub was good for a quick pint. The Blisland pub was a total dive, avoid at all costs. A must do is a cycle along the camel trail. I would recommend this property for those who like to explore!
Wonderful setting for a relaxed break. Loved the outdoor bbq area. Great hosts too.
We had a great time staying here in a most tranquil setting. Very relaxing out on the moors looking at the ponies. Great hosts too with some welcoming cream teas!
Gorgeous Cottage on the Moors. Friendly and clean, full of character AND a clotted cream tea when we arrived, provided by the owners as part of our stay. The whole stay was a treat for us having travelled from B.C. to spend time in Cornwall where our children were born. We will definitely be returning and have already recommended this special place to family and friends.
Amazing place to stay right on the moors. Plenty of places to walk and cycle. Accommodation spotless .Such a lovely welcome and a cream tea on arrival. Look forward to returning
Lovely cottage in lovely surroundings. Owners very pleasant and helpful. Pub within walking distance for evening meals. Would highly recommend if you like peace, quiet and countryside.
We had a warm welcome from Brenda and Ross, including a cream tea left out for us. The cottage is cosy and warm and the beds are lovely. The area is fascinating with amazing walks right from the door.

love this cottage it is so homey
Stayed at this property last March for 5 nights it is cozy and very homey . Nice place for a hike ,close to nature . Owners very nice even though we arrived in the middle of a blizzard ,lol.
We really enjoyed our week's stay in Old Brock Cottage. The location was great for exploring the local area, and we loved being able to walk straight out onto the moor. Despite having a few issues getting to and from the A30 due to recent roadworks, we enjoyed staying in such a quiet, peaceful place away from the crowds.
The cottage itself had everything we needed, including a good selection of board games, which the kids loved. Wifi was a bit difficult to get on mobile devices, but was fine on our laptop. Many thanks to Ross and Brenda for their hospitality - we would definitely recommend this cottage to others.
Quaint little cottage in a beautiful moorland setting!
First impression of the outside of the cottage didn't disappoint & inside was well laid out & pleasantly spacious. The owners Ross & Brenda welcomed us on arrival & provided us with a generous cream tea treat. We had a slight issue with a window that wouldn't close however, Ross was willing & able to fix it right away. Wifi was available at the front of the property at no extra cost & signal strength was quite good. The shower was very powerful & there was plenty of hot water for a nice long soak in the bath too! A basket of logs was supplied for the wood burner which provided a welcomed glow in the evening. There are a few steps up to the bedroom and a further flight of stairs to the lounge/ dining area which may prove challenging to some guests. The steps down into the bedroom caused us a bit of an issue due to the last step being carpeted the same dark blue as the bedroom therefore, it was not very visible and we missed stepped it many times. Overall, we thouroughly enjoyed our stay & hope to book Brook Cottage again in the near future.
Spent a short break in Old Brock cottage. Very well equipped and cosy even in March. Didn't let the mizzle dampen our holiday, got out and about on the moors and visiting the nearby towns and villages. Overall very enjoyable few days away.
Our group of 4 adults and a 5 month old baby found that this property was cosy and comfortable and a cot was assembled and ready to use. A big tick for scones cream and jam to welcome us but a pity about the very blunt kitchen knives and a truly awful potato peeler! Some kind of drying rack for washing would have been useful too but overall this is a good little place to stay. Property was clean and well maintained and would recommend to family and friends. Advise that you do not arrive at night (as we did) - it is a bit out of the way and we missed a turning on our given directions then GPS took us on a very long re route.
